I underestimated pizza in Belgium... It wasn't my first…read moreoption, but stumbled upon this place because there were decent amount of people inside and was running out of options for a late night dinner in Bruges. My friend and I eventually decided to stick with this pizza restaurant. We both weren't super hungry, so wanted to order light. We decided to share a salad and a pizza pie. HOUSE BURRATA SALAD The burrata in the description instantly caught my eye. So, that already won my decision to order this. And it was indeed great! The salad is very light and makes you feel healthy after you eat it. It's full of cherry tomatoes, arugula & red onions paired with pesto sauce. The combination of these ingredients tasted great. It's an excellent choice of salad. PORTOBELLO PIZZA For the main course, we opted for Portobello. Overall, the pizza are not very big. It's shareable, but won't fill your stomach up. The slices are cut very small and thin. But the mushroom flavor filled each bite. This pizza also has kale as a veggie to top it all off. Overall, we really enjoyed each of these two options. It was the perfect amount for our "not super hungry, but can't skip dinner" kind of stomachs. The food didn't make you super full like some other Belgian foods out there. All the ingredients seemed fresh, light and healthy.

The vegan pie was excellent, as was the beer selection. I also ordered the hummus and thought it was ok but not great. It was served with endive leaves, which added a touch of bitterness to an otherwise savory dip. I would have preferred another option for dipping, but the endive leaves made for a pretty presentation. I would definitely eat hear again if the opportunity arose.

The quaint…read moreatmosphere, dark lighting, clean atheistic and unwillingness to be chain-like all while still delivering quick and effortlessly delicious pasta is a marvel. They truly have trapped magic in a bottle. The menu isn't large but they do also have a rotating seasonal menu that accompanies it. All the dishes on the main menu are Italian classics done right. Most dishes have pork or beef. The pasta tasted very fresh and the portions were what you would want of a good Italian restaurant, plentiful. My "white" ragú was packed full of flavor and the beef was tender. The pecorino cheese used was perfect. All in all, this is the type of place that is always busy and with good reason. Since they don't take reservations lines do form at the front of both sister locations on the same block. Make the line, it moves fairly quickly. And if it doesn't it is still well worth it.

NONA PIZZA FLAGEY AVENUE GÉNÉRALE DE GAULLE/GENERAAL DE GAULELAAN 3, 1050 IXELLES, BRUSSELS We had the pizza with spicy pork and it was excellent. As good as Little Italy in the USA. The real deal. One of the best meals we had on vacation in Brussels. Staff was nice and everyone around us was enjoying their food too. Cute little lake out front with a dirt trail around it to walk on after you eat. Will return for more pizza!
