This delightful restaurant was the standout of all the places we ate in Brussels. The quaint atmosphere, dark lighting, clean atheistic and unwillingness to be chain-like all while still delivering quick and effortlessly delicious pasta is a marvel. They truly have trapped magic in a bottle. The menu isn't large but they do also have a rotating seasonal menu that accompanies it. All the dishes on the main menu are Italian classics done right. Most dishes have pork or beef. The pasta tasted very fresh and the portions were what you would want of a good Italian restaurant, plentiful. My "white" ragú was packed full of flavor and the beef was tender. The pecorino cheese used was perfect. All in all, this is the type of place that is always busy and with good reason. Since they don't take reservations lines do form at the front of both sister locations on the same block. Make the line, it moves fairly quickly. Best pizza I've had in a long time! Like, I'm still dreaming of this pizza. First things first, this place has a pasta location AND a pizza location right next to eachother so make sure you go to the right one. We came here the night before for pizza and ended up at the pasta location, unintentionally. We ordered the bufala motza-bella to share (for 2) and OMG! Such a simple pizza but SO FREAKING GOOD! The sauce was a perfect ratio and flavor, the cheese was so soft and just melted in your mouth, and the crust was so soft with the perfect chewiness/crunchiness. The service was a little slow at first, but the pizza made up for it ten fold. 100/10 recommend trying their pizza! I will come back to Brussels just for this pizza. read more

So for those who don't know, there is a pizza place and a pasta place. Same name, next to each other, and they do not serve one at the other. I made the mistake of waiting a very long time to get any recognition at the pasta place, only to be told I have to go next door. They also do not have tap water here, so you have to pay for water. Honestly they don't even uncork it in front of you so they probably just fill it up themselves right before serving it so they can charge you for it. The female server was very nice and checks on patrons. All that aside, the pizza is pretty bomb. Good flavor, not overly salty. Thin crust. Interesting food spot but was a bit confused by their set up. We didn't realize the pizza spot and the pasta spot are separate restaurants so the menu was completely different from what we saw on Google. We wanted pizza but ended up ordering pasta from there as it was raining and we didn't want to go around searching for the other location. The pasta was different from any I've ever had. The pasta noodles were mixed with potatoes and cheese giving it a unique taste and texture. My sister ordered pasta with carrot sauce and the toppings were unique as well. Holy hotcakes batman, this joint was as good as it gets when it comes to Neapolitan style pizza! We had a BnB down the street, so after three consecutive nights of walking by and seeing a line out the door, we figured this place must of been good. We showed up a tad early dodging the big lines that came later in the night, so that was a huge plus. The inside is more of a relaxed diner scene versus some elegant pizza parlor. They make their dough fresh and bake it in a wood fire oven clearly visible from the main dining area, so three cheers to them on that one! Service was pretty good, but our server had a little trouble translating to English, so the old point and choose worked out in the end for us. As for the choice, we went with the fungulisicous pizza, which is pretty similar to funghi pizzas in the state in terms of toppings. Pricing was phenomenal for the size of the pizza that we were served ($15). If I had to ding them for one thing, it would be the fact that they did not load the pizza with toppings, but I feel like that is more of a northern american method versus everyone else in the world. Either way, that did not take away from the taste of the pizza, which landed in my top five pizzas in my life. That is not an exaggeration either, cooked perfectly, flavored well, great dough, 10 out of 10! Would love to come here several time a week if I had the chance, but it does give me an excuse to make another trip to Brussels in the future! read more

I was attracted due to the window show of the pizza makers tossing the dough! This was fun to watch. I was super hungry and needed to eat something asap! Nona had a huge line but I was able to get in right away because I was by myself (yay for being lonely). I say at the bar and was given a menu right away. No one took my order until I asked one of the waiters. I went simple with the marinara, and it was okay. The dough was so thin that it felt like I was eating pasta. I wouldn't order this again, but I would try something else. While sitting at the bar, I noticed how they clean their wine glasses and glass cups. 3.5 stars We were looking for pizza in St. Catherine, but the old pizza place had gone out of business. A guy working at one of the nearby seafood restaurants recommended Nona for pizza, and it was an excellent choice. My friend and I shared a spicy sausage pizza and a mozzarella pizza with prosciutto. They were cooked in the traditional way, thin and crispyish on the outside, a little soggy in the middle. The spicy sausage was the clear winner, but both were very good. Service was reasonably fast. My only major complaint is that they only had house wines available, not a real wine selection. My minor complaint is that the spicy sausage pizza should have had at least double the sausage on it, because we had a couple of slices with no sausage at all. I'd definitely go back. read more

Man I am so glad I stumbled on this place. I was in route to another restaurant but I kept getting turned around. When I passed this place it was packed and the smell was wafting into the street from the pizza oven within. I glanced inside and they were making fresh pizzas to order. After making one last attempt to find the other location, I decided just to go in since it was getting late and I was hungry and alone. This was a very good decision. I ordered the special which was a pizza with pumpkin purees as the base, buffalo mozzeralla, and sausage. The pizza was ready in no time and delivered hot and fresh. It was delicious. It reminded me of pizza I have had in Italy. I was tempted to order a second just because I wanted to taste another flavor but I decided against being a glutton. I ate the whole pizza though and it was filling. Had I been in the city longer I probably would have definitely come back again. This is two thumbs up for service and quality of the food. read more
