I emailed the restaurant to make a reservation about two weeks beforehand, and I'm so glad I did because they didn't have any availability for the time that I wanted, even on a Monday night. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated outside promptly. Our waiter was really nice and explained the menu to us. I don't usually like salads, but I felt like I needed some greens after eating heavy Belgian food. We decided to go with the mixed salad with ham, and I'm so glad we did! This salad deserves 5 stars honestly. The dressing was amazing, and the ham added a nice salty touch. For pastas, we got the spaghetti with spicy Calabrian sausage and burrata and the ravioli with osso buco. The pastas were definitely cooked al dente - I preferred the spaghetti. The ravioli had good flavor, but it was sitting in so much oil that I couldn't eat too many. It was a solid meal overall, but I didn't think the pastas were anything life-changing. There's a surprising number of Italian restaurants in Brussels, most of which are pretty decent, but Pasta Divina is genuinely fantastic. A few work friends were looking for a decent place to eat after a long day of meetings and decided it was worth the trek here and then also worth a 10-15 minute wait in the cold to sit down, but it was worth it in the end. I got the pasta with soft sausage and burrata, which was amazing and like nothing else I've ever had. Delicious food and great service. Silvano will tell you all about the menu, his wife is the chef. Amazing pasta dishes. She makes pasta twice a day...once for lunch and once for dinner. It is super fresh. I believe she makes some of the desserts as well. We started with a Caprese salad which was wonderful with oil and balsamic vinegar. The extra makes for great dipping sauce for the bread. Comes with a full tomato, and about seven slices of mozzarella. Definitely big enough to share. For dinner we had the truffle pasta, four cheese sauce with fettuccine and the bolognese with fettuccine and all were great. Not huge portions but enough for sure. The Tiramisu dessert was awesome. This place is so amazing! We tried to walk in on a Tuesday around 7 pm and weren't able to get a table, so we came back at 6:15 on Thursday and were able to (with the exception that we had to be out by 7:30 due to an incoming reservation). Reservations must be made at least 2-3 days in advance, so if you're planning to come here, I recommend making one! The pasta is all housemade in the mornings, the sauces at night. The sausages are also housemade. Our orders were taken by the daughter of the matriarch, and the service (from her and everyone else) was great. If I needed anything, the waiters were super attentive, noticed me from the other side of the outside area, and came to help. One person even ran once to help me when all the closer employees were helping others! The food was sooo, sooooo good. We shared a Salade Mixte, which was salted. The corn added a nice, sweet touch that I hadn't experienced in a salad before. We also got a tagliatelle meat pasta combo (one of the house combos) that I can't remember the name of. The pasta had the perfect chew, and the housemade sausage had a bite of red wine and made such an impression on me. I'm still craving that sausage now, from an entirely different continent. For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu Maison and a dish with pistachio ice cream and babas. I like the tiramisu but wasn't a huge fan of the babas - too much alcohol for me! Either way, this was a must-try restaurant, even if it was located in the heart of the tourist area in Brussels. The food made my night, if not my vacation, and the service was great. Wow - amazing meal! We'd passed by here a few times this week and once, tried to eat there but we were too early as they hadn't opened. But kindly, they served us beers outdoors. Note that they get real busy with reservations - up to 50% of the tables. Tonight, we popped by right at opening time - 6 pm. Ya - we got a table for 2 outside right away! The menu was explained to us and we placed our order. We had the Tagliatelle with Bolognaise sauce and the Ravioli stuffed with Veal and dressed with a Pesto sauce. Both were served very hot, were generous portion sizes and were very good. We shared a Tiramisu with our coffee - the Tiramisu was also very good. Cute elder couple running the place. All fresh homemade pastas, you can watch them in the kitchen. I went and begged for space for one and they felt bad and made space for me. Even though Belgium has really strict dining rules and this place is booked most nights, they have some compassion. I love that the owner spent a lot of time with me even though the tiny place was jam-packed. He Maybe spent almost 10 minutes explaining the different pastas who makes what how his wife makes it or he makes it. He told me which fillings go with which pastasand asked me where I ate certain combinations because I asked about truffle. he asked if my mouth turned black last time I ever ate squid ink pasta. Very inquisitive I love it. He cares a lot about the dining experience and he absolutely refused to give me an appetizer. That's the fun French dining experience for us fat Americans :-). He promised the real meal was not to be detracted from. I didn't realize that the real meal was plenty filling. I went with the veal pasta ravioli thing and it was great. I usually like vegetarian ravioli but I decided on something more European. the dish was excellent and so was the tiramisu. I've never had tiramisu like that.
