Very pleasantly surprised to revisit this restaurant. I visited about 2 years ago for a couple slices and was somewhat disappointed as they were reheated and overdone. As a result of a recent FB from "the fat cowboy" I thought I would try again. I ordered a 12 inch sausage pizza with spicy wings. I ordered using their app which gives a 10 percent discount. I ordered for take out and it was the only place that actually gives you sliced sausage versus just crumbles. The service was fine but since it was take out all I can say everyone was very pleasant. The dining area is fairly small but clean and several tables were taken but not over crowded. The pizza and topping were very good and since it's close to home it may become my new "go to" pizza place. I did notice a man sitting at a table with what appeared to be Chicken Parm dinner and it looked very good. Without a doubt I think that may be my next order. The 12" pizza is perfect for a single diner. read more

Pizza 2000 - Small personal pizza 12" cut into 4 small slices. Ideal for a single diner. - Pizza Near Me - Fort Myers, Florida

Small pizza joint with a big appetite. Nicely lit with plenty of food inspired decorations (including an Anthony Bourdain poster with quote). Several tables (at least a dozen) to seat either two or four people at a time, while the center had a couple tables to be pushed to together for a larger crowd. My group of three people shared one large pizza (one of the white style pies). There was just enough cheese, garlic and olive oil, you knew your heart would be full of good fats, much like your belly was full from thick cut slices. This is a new place for us to try, even though Pizza 2000 probably pre-dates us in Fort Myers. We never think to go in because the parking situation can be a bit rough - it's the start of the Costco plaza on Cypress Lakes Drive. Therefore, it is tricky to get to the light and get out when you're done eating. The service was quick, as the server had just started her shift. She was nice and was able to attend to our questions before a small rush came in. She seemed to know one table of regulars (a pair of patrons) while a six top had arrived and seemed to order a third of the menu. There was also one chef in back, unless someone else was there behind a wall. We would definitely like to go back and try something else. The prices can be a little high but they are reasonable and are in line with other local eateries. read more

Was in town for just two days and happened to stop here when my original dinner plans fell through. Got a pizza to go and I am glad I did. The pizza was great! I was greeted immediately upon entering and provided a menu. The inside was cozy, though I decided to still do the take out option. Would visit again. read more

Early dinner with Mom on the way to shopping next door at Costco. We were greeted and seated by the one waitress working this evening. It got a little busier as our dinner progressed to the point that we were waiting quite a bit for our check and then payment. But busy is good, right? Mom chose a veggie sandwich and enjoyed it. I had the antipasto salad and it was great. Quite a lot of "stuff" and not a lot of filler. Sausage, pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, olives all tossed with a vinaigrette and then topped with shredded mozzarella cheese. Other than the croutons (keto diet!), I cleared the plate. I wouldn't leave your car here and walk over to Costco as there are signs indicating that they'll tow. [Review 16749 overall - 1476 in Florida - 261 of 2022.] read more

As big pizza fans, we decided to give Pizza 2000 a try after passing by a few days earlier. Overall, really good pizza! I especially like the variety of signature pizzas. We got the Sausage Ricotta pizza and the Gorgonzola pizza, and both were great. My crust was really tough and took away from the experience a bit, but I'm hoping it was just a one-off. Looking forward to trying out Pizza 2000 again! read more

The pizza was ok, definitely not the best. I didn't pick it up my daughter did. Don't know about the ambiance, have never been there.

Never disappoints---we LOVE Pizza 2000! From the Gorgonzola salad to pastas and pizza, this place crushes your tastebuds. So good. Beer and wine also on the menu. Small place with attentive servers. read more

Being from NY and spoiled with good food. It has been Hard to find a good pizza, especially NY pizza. Pizza 2000 was the answer

Updating to a 2. I had part of the salad today and it was gritty, with a chunk of something that felt like it cracked a tooth. The chicken was also dry and completely unseasoned. The pizza doesn't reheat well. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Best. Drunk/sleepy. Pizza. Ever!!! We just showed up and we're beyond exhausted but had all taken a nap then woken up to swim, drink, and eat. The only place we could find for delivery through grub hub and let me tell you, their pizzas do not disappoint. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza. My only request would be they fix they special instructions to actually pay attention to them. If you aren't going to include stuff due to cost, try setting that up better on your ordering menu. Other than not getting marinara on a pizza when we wrote in for it, it was a solid A- pizza place! read more

I have been coming to this place for over 12 years, and today I stopped by to get my favorite dishes. Gorgonzola salad, snaking bread and pizza. Sadly, the food was awful and the service even worse. Not coming back to this place ever. Find somewhere else to go. read more

While waiting on Costco to plug my tire I stopped in to Pizza 2000. I ordered the white pizza. I can truly say that this pizza is one of the best pizza places around here. The crust is crunchy to the bite. Yummy! And just the right balance of flavors . By the looks of this place they have a loyal following. This place is worth skipping the Costco Pizza alive and eating here. read more

With all the good reviews I was excited to try a new pizza place. Ew. It was like they opened a can of stewed tomatoes and used that as sauce. It was so chunky and the tomato's were cold. We ordered just a pepperoni with garlic and it had zero garlic. Couldn't eat more then one slice and tossed the rest. Not worth the weight gain the salad was ok, fresh and loaded so that's why I gave 2 stars. read more

Headed out with a buddy for dinner. We discussed several options and finally decided on Pizza 2000. We had eaten there several times before and like their Pizza. We arrived, went to the door, and found it locked. The manager was inside and came and opened the door and informed us that the pizza oven was down. We expressed our disappointment and we're about to leave when he offered to let us in and he would make us a sub,Gorgonzola salad at no charge, because he recognized us as regular patrons. thank you we both decided to take the healthy road and ordered the Gorgonzola salad. Not only was it delicious it was absolutely huge. In fact I couldn't even finish mine... I don't know if I have ever had a salad so big that I couldn't finish it. All in all a very pleasant meal and eating out for me and my buddy. thanks to the manager and pizza 2004 turning what could have been a disappointment into a very pleasant evening. read more

The flavor of the pizza is good, but everything else is Called around 5:45 on Wednesday night. Get placed on hold for 5 minutes and I hung up. Waited ten minutes and called again. Got placed on hold for another 3 minutes. Was told my order which was a large pepperoni pizza and a salad would be 40-45 minutes. I get there with about 15 minutes left till my order was ready and the server didn't greet me but instead said "I'll be with you in a second". She messes with receipts on the computer then goes to the two tables that were seated then finally comes back to me. She tells me my price of my order which was 30 bucks...kinda pricey for the quality of the pizza. But the worst part was she told me it was going to be ANOTHER 30 minutes for my order to be ready. Get home and try the pizza. Tough as a rock, feel like I'm ripping at it to get a piece. Definitely going to need some Advil tonight for my jaw. Really heard good things about this place but probably won't be back. read more

Took the girl's up for a bounce and glow night at sky zone and decided to look on Yelp for a pizza place in the area with a good rating and Pizza 2000 did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice, the girls both loved their pizza's and we made sure to get them the "thin" sauce. That said I like the chunky tomatoes they serve normally. The ingredients seemed very fresh and the small portion was just right for a personal pizza. I would defiantly go there again and recommend it! read more

Look it's delicious. The oily salty texture on my finger tips. The ash that flakes off on our hands. The steam that filters off the pizza and into the air. The sodas fresh and bubbly. The bowls are cold that hold the salad that so awesomely contrasts the flaming lava hot pizza. But something feels like it's missing. Maybe it's me. In fact it's probably me. To me gourmet and pizza just don't connect read more

Was here during lunch hour several weeks ago. I stuffed myself with a personal size House Special Pizza. It was delicious so we went back for more punishment! We normally have salad, pasta and pizza. Today it was simply pizza only! Today, just for two, we have a simple 14" pie with half cheese and half sausage. The pie was excellent! The dough was crusty and just done right with crushed tomatoes, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic/oregano, and fresh basil. The sausage was sliced rather than crumbled. That is exactly how like my sausage! Looking forward for next visit with garlic clam sauce over penne with House Special Pizza or white pizza! Or maybe minestrone or Italian wedding soup with salad. Service is excellent! Pizza 2000 is on the top of my Pizza Restaurant in Fort Myers. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in SW Florida. Super consistent and always fresh. I have yet to be disappointed. This place does get very busy at times, so plan ahead. My husband and I just moved to the area and we're looking for somewhere to grab dinner. He plucked this place off the map and it wound up being wonderful!! We just kept it simple and ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and it was very light, not really heavy like a lot of pizza tends to be. Also customer service was great. We were very well taken care of after spilling a drink, lol. read more

Pizza 2000 you get a 5 star rating for many reasons. First off, your pizza was superb. The pineapple bacon was very tasty. We also ordered a cheese pizza plain which was solid. The stand out however, was the pineapple bacon. People hate on pineapple on a pizza but clearly not my family. Second, your service was great and I'm thankful for that. I have two littles and our server was incredible with both of them. My boy tends to talk to just about anyone (anywhere) and sometimes you can tell those who are a little not-so-friendly. the server would wave at him just as many times as he did and even commented on him being friendly vs. super shy and hiding behind mama. Lastly, you were open! lol As silly as it sounds. I tried 2 other places before coming here this day. In a world where there are pizza places everywhere, it helps to 1)be open and 2) have pizza. I called a place just down the street, big name place, and they told me they didn't have pizza for another 1.5 hours ? And it was the afternoon. It's a Pizzeria! What is happening? So we stumbleupon Pizza 2000 where the doors are open and the pizza is fresh! I mean, win-win. I'd love to come back and will definitely recommend this to anyone. read more

When I ordered, the menu said white and I did not know what that meant. The clerk did not ask me if I wanted white or red. White means no pasta sauce on vegetarian pizza. I have been eating vegetarian pizzas for 45 years and this was literally the worst product I've ever put in my mouth. My shoelaces with salsa on it would taste better. What a joke. 5 stars! For a local pizza joint that makes you go mmmmmmmmmm! After having one of "those" days, all I envisioned was devouring a pizza and watching some mindless TV. Come on, you know you've been there too! So I placed an order for pick-up on my way home and the timing worked out perfect. They said 20 minutes and pretty much to the minute, I walked in to pick up my piping hot pie. Although I took my order to go, I took a quick look around. The cozy bistro style dining area and open pizza kitchen was perfectly pizza parlor-esque! Loved the open kitchen concept and of course the intoxicating smell that came from pizza baking in a large pizza oven. It truly brought back wonderful childhood memories of my favorite pizza parlor back in Brooklyn, New York. Great variety to their overall menu, from pastas to pizzas and salads to sandwiches, and the prices are extremely fair. Most dishes are $15 or less, with the specialty pizza's maxing at $18. Their pies come in two sizes, small 10" and large 14". You can build your own or go with one of their many specialty pizza options. I ordered a 14" three cheese pizza, since I would be sharing with my husband --- and I use the term sharing very lightly, as I was ready to take that pizza down all by myself. Thankfully, the pie was too much for me to handle on my own, so my husband lucked out. The 14" was more than enough for two people at a solid eight slices. The flavor of the sauce highlighted by the crushed plum tomatoes, crushed garlic, and basil was spot on. The trifecta of pizza cheese heaven (ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan) was spread evenly on each slice, so as to provide a perfect bite of cheesy goodness every time. As for the dough, which in my opinion can make or break a pizza, they got it totally right with the flavor and the light crispy crust! They are a bit hidden in a corner of the large Cypress Lake Shopping Center, so make sure not to miss it. Parking is easy enough, but they also deliver, wth free delivery based on location and $15 minimum order. The pizza was scrumptious, the service was prompt and friendly, and the prices are great for what you get. If you want a slice of pizza heaven you should absolutely give this place a try! read more

After almost a year in Fort Myers looking for the perfect pie, I can confidently say that Pizza 2000 is as close you can get. The ingredients are fresh. The sauce is flavorful. Everything just clicks! Whether you decide to dine in (highly recommended) or take out, you won't be disappointed. The service is always top of the line and the pizza is fantastic. Ordered take out last night for the first time in months. Searching for the best pizza in the area. Pizza 2000 was good. We ordered the Gorgonzola salad. The half order for $7.70. It's basically just a house salad with Gorgonzola cheese. It's in the smaller side too. We also ordered the P2K white pizza and a small meat lovers. The white pizza was just ok but felt like it's missing something. The crust was crispy but also chewy. The meat lovers was pretty good! Lots of flavor and the crust was easier to chew. Maybe the addition of the red sauce helps. I would try Pizza 2000 again but maybe not for delivery. It's probably excellent sitting in their restaurant. read more

We love Pizza 2000. It's our 5 Star pizza place. Excellent pizza offered with your choice of sauce: crushed plum tomato, smooth red or white. The texture and flavor of the crispy crust with the smooth sauce is a winning combination. Our most recent visit was on a very busy Friday evening between 6:30 and 7:00. Two servers were running to keep everyone happy and satisfied. Our drinks were refilled after a short wait. Every bit of our meal was pizza perfection. We have been eating here for many years. Last night the pizza was good as usual. Also as usual we each had two Corona beers. After we paid our bill I looked it over thinking the pizza sure shot up in price. Nope! It was the beer. $6 each for a bottle of beer. $24 for four bottles of common grocery store beer. No glass, not even the traditional lime wedge. Just a $1.25 retail bottle of beer. They must feel justified in making almost $5 off each bottle. Now that I think of it their drink prices aren't on the drink card on each table, and for good reason. We'll be looking for a new pizza joint. It's insulting to pay hotel prices at a strip mall pizza joint. read more
