I got lucky with I Do b/c after seeing some others, I knew I had to do soooome research. But I was trying to get better pricing, etc and then alot were booked. I was getting antsy, but it must have been a blessing in disguise. I went to see this booth at the Adler Planetarium a 6 weeks before my wedding and they were so nice and answered every question and even let me take some pics. hehe. Booked. THEN - I had a slight problem with other photobooth frames I had purchased and was freaking out b/c the I Do pics didn't fit in them. UH-OH. I called them up and got the manager and explained my problem and he offered their frames at a very competetive price! So sweet! And they were a HUGE hit at the wedding - there was a line all night and competitions like who could be funniest, most outrageous, goofiest, etc. From the props, the book, the copies (digital and hard), guest enjoyment and awesome customer service and SUPER nice attendants - they were great! It is definitely a bit of a splurge, but is not that bad since they are your favors too - SO worth it. Looking at my guest book and all the messages remind me how much fun we all had that night and that's the best!

The attendant had to set up twice because the cocktail hour and dinner were in two separate spaces. I spoke with Mitch, and he didn't have a problem with two set ups. They were very accommodating, punctual, and professional. The attendant was wearing a suit and tie - dressed for the wedding. They were relatively easily reachable via phone and email. All the guests at my wedding had an amazing time! They all said they had so much fun! The photo booth was such a BIG hit! Many of the creative people took advantage and made stories with their four photos. There was a line at the booth every time I looked over. There were plenty of props to choose from. Photo booths are a great way to entertain your guests. I also purchased a photo guest book. Where they can tape their strip in the book and write something nice or silly. One downside was there weren't enough pages in the book so a lot of people didn't get to write their share. So many of the strips were placed in the inside pocket of the book, which was fine. I still enjoyed all the silly pictures.

We hired Laughing Tulips as our photobooth for our wedding and we are so happy we did! The…read morebackgrounds they provide are fun but classy enough that they blend in beautifully with the rest of the wedding decor. The whole contract/payment process was painless and they were very flexible about set-up during the event (we had a room change, and they were willing to set up during the short window in which the ceremony space was being converted to dinner space while our guests were at cocktail hour). They also brought their own linens and prop table, which was great because I totally forgot to rent anything for them. My guests had fun with their props, though if you see something you really love on their website you may want to request it (I kinda wanted one of those "LOVE" banners and a picture frame, but didn't say anything and it wasn't in my assortment). I also brought a number of props of my own, which I sort of suggest doing in general since it makes it a bit more personal (like I had supplied Mario and Luigi hats since we're nerds like that). Our attendant was friendly and helped keep the prop table tidy during the event and explained how to take photos to the people who were confused. She wasn't as "in-your-face" as some photobooth attendants I've seen at other weddings, like who tell you want poses to do and help you take really crazy photos, but this was something that we were expecting based on Laughing Tulip's classy branding. I sent a lot of photobooth inquiries for our date (with both open and closed styles) and I felt that Laughing Tulips was definitely the best value for what you get! They also are upfront about their rates, which many photobooth companies are not (you have to give out your contact info in order to find out a quote, and then they contact you over and over again for months). The printed strips were a hit at the wedding, and the digital downloads (free and very high quality) started popping up all over our guests' Facebook pages when people got home. OH and they make a super cute slideshow set to music for FREE!

We see that and we are sorry," I might have softened or retracted parts of my review, and responded in kind. But they made a different choice. So we double down, too: Do Not Hire Big Hugs. We will let our contacts in Chicagoland know our experience, and we strongly recommend our lovely Naperville venue's clients look elsewhere for a photo booth vendor. One Star. original review: We were so surprised and aghast that this highly-recommended photo vendor failed so epically: 1) subjects were cut out of photos 2) backdrop was broken and we had to fix it Big Hugs was hired for a large Celebration of Life event bringing together relatives and friends from across the country. To memorialize the day, we provided this service so loved ones could take group and family photos. Only after the event, paging through the photo book, did we see that on the majority of prints, subjects were not even within the frame of the photos! We had approval in advance from Big Hugs to provide our own rented couch to set in front of the backdrop, and asked repeatedly if the couch would appear too low in the frame, or if those standing behind would appear too high. Big Hugs' on-site attendant assured us he would make sure and this would be no problem. Yet in about 35% of photos, taller guests' heads were partially cut off, and guests on the couch appeared only from the neck up. Some were out of frame on the sides of photos. The rest of the photos looked ridiculous because the people on the couch were way down in the lower third of the photo. So, why is an attendant present if it's not to ensure good photographs!? From a once-in-a-lifetime event, our guests took home ridiculous, unprofessional photos as their remembrance. This is not what we intended when hiring a professional photo booth vendor at a premium price. Prior to the event, as the attendant set up, we noticed the backdrop was hanging crooked. Two event planners and myself asked if he would fix this before guests arrived. He replied, "I can't. That's how it is." Our venue manager said to the attendant, "This looks terrible and is unacceptable." He did nothing. So she stepped in herself and created a fix for the broken backdrop provided by Big Hugs. Subsequently, our event planner reached out and explained the situation to Big Hugs, who pushed back saying the attendant reported everything was fine. Then offered a 20% discount. Our planner detailed again the numerous points of failure, and then Big Hugs offered 50% off the remaining balance. That Big Hugs charged us *anything at all* after their epic fail should be an embarrassment to them. Highly do not recommend Big Hugs to anyone seeking professional photo booth for an event they care about.
