The last gal I had been seeing was doing ok on my cuts. My last time in, 2 weeks ago, I never actually got my hair cut. My appointment was at 2pm. Showed up at 5 minutes to. Was checked in and told "she's just running a couple minutes behind." OK, fine. I sit in the waiting area and pull out my phone to scroll social media while I wait. Next thing I know, it's 2:30 and my stylist still hasn't come to get me nor has anyone from the front checked in or updated me on how much longer it will be. I go up to the counter and let the receptionist know I need to cancel my appointment (had to be somewhere else by 3:15 and was irritated I just wasted half an hour). She seemed surprised I wanted to leave. I noted my appointment was supposed to start half hour ago. Crickets. No apology. No effort at an excuse. "Ok, well, do you want to reschedule?" I completely understand things happen and can get backed up but half hour of sitting with no acknowledgement and no apology?! Had someone simply checked in or even said "we're so sorry for the wait. Would you like a water or something?" This review would be different and I'd still be using this salon.

Everyone there is so friendly and they make you feel very comfortable. Last weekend I had a hair and makeup trial with Erin for my upcoming wedding. Both my hair and my makeup exceeded my expectations. I will be using her for my wedding in January and coming back for a charity gala in May. Today I got a haircut by Erin. Wow! My hair looks and feels fabulous and healthy. Erin has an eye for getting the cut just right. Definitely recommend The Loft Salon for special occasion hair and makeup as well as hair cuts. Our previous stylist took early retirement due to the pandemic. We looked around and found K+Co in our neighborhood. We checked out the reviews on Yelp which were excellent. We also did not want a large salon as we are limiting our contacts. K+Co is a small, two stylist shop and they try to schedule appointments so that both stylists and their clients are not there at the same time. They don't always succeed at this but they try. I use Katie who does men's hair and my wife uses Kelly who does women's hair. We have both been very pleased with the quality of service we have received. We have also appreciated the attention they have given to preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus by careful masking, sanitation and scheduling. We highly recommend K+Co.

At no point initially was there any offer,any refund attempt with Groupon, or to work with them after hours spent bc three different Groupon stylist people one doesn't even have the website correct on his site, another wouldn't reply. Taking out on a customer bc they aren't clairvoyant and me for the frustration of not being able to use the service I purchased to try and support their business then calls me abrasive vs assertive for not allowing business owners to create their own terms, not on the Groupon agreement. One minute joking about Groupon and how little they pay the stylist and next minute blaming the potential customer. Don't do Groupon would be my first recommendation. Don't support someone who blames someone wanting to use their services and refuses to take accountability for terms they didn't provide in the agreement with Groupon. Then I love using the word "liability" to someone with a law degree. Because I wanted to clarify a Groupon misrepresented purchase. Update, after close to a week of communication and around 15 minutes of reading texts she was able to get a refund and grateful for that step. Certainly more success than I had as the consumer with a third party vendor.At no point did I know she had Covid when I tried to book. Today was first I heard of it. That was a lie.
