From the charming Kelly in the front office who greats you warmly and handles all the insurance details to Kristen with the magic touch and gentle way it's such a pleasant experience for an often agonizing appointment. Scott is also a PT with a focus on gait as well as the Director of the Boxing program for Parkinson's patients. He has a great rapport with patients of all degrees of affliction and brings a humorous atmosphere which lightens the mood. I travel one and a half hours (one way) to see them with many other options available in Williamsburg- A few of which I have tried previously. They are worth traveling to!

The two receptionists at the front desk of Tidewater Orthopedic were extremely rude and…read moreuncooperative at my last visit. First, upon checking in, one said "You owe $15." I said "I paid it online 10 minutes ago." She responded "No you didn't." After a couple minutes of prodding and checking, she said, "Oh, I see you did pay." I sat down, waited for more than 30 minutes, and suddenly the other receptionist called my name and in an accusatory tone said, "You never checked in." I said I most certainly did check in, 10 minutes before my appointment." This obnoxious woman then argued with me for several minutes before she finally admitted, "Oh I see you did check in." No apologies, just rudeness. I hope their management hears this.

The bad part is if you ever need to be seen that day do to a flare up or change in condition. I can never get in. They leave no room for appointments needed that day. So once again I need to be seen today and I can't get in for an appointment. This causes me to miss work and be in pain which is unexceptionable. The owner knows better but does not care because of greed. Don't be fooled when they post something in response to my post about they care and they are so sorry for the inconvenience. It's just a lie to try and look like the owner cares.

It seems a bit chaotic there at first -- but came to realize it was controlled chaos and they had everything under control. Now the negative -- Make sure that you do not get overcharged! I had reached my cap with my insurance company and therefore did not need to pay a co-pay. Despite my questioning it on multiple occasions, they required me to make a payment on each visit. I overpaid them by hundreds of dollars. Even though they were getting the payments from my insurance -- they did not stop collecting from me. Once I gave the verification from the EOB from my insurance, they agreed that they owed me a refund. However, they would not refund me UNTIL I WAS NO LONGER A PATIENT! I had to stop going there and opt to move to a different PT group in town. The therapists were stunned and disappointed -- as was I. It has now been several weeks and I still do not have my refund. My advice is to carefully and immediately follow up with your insurance to make sure that you do not overpay Comber.

This is the worst place I have ever received physical therapy. It isn't ever crowded and now I see…read morewhy. They have you do about two or three exercises and then put you on ice. My therapist was not compassionate and I feel like it was a total waste of money. I am switching facilities in the middle of my therapy because it is so pathetic.
