RSL stands for Returned and Services League, basically a vets club. Many towns in Australia have them, kind of like a VFW or American Legion. They really respect their veterans here, and the clubs are great. There are at least five different places to eat in here ranging from a steakhouse to a pizza joint to a coffeeshop. Several bars as well. We sat in the Glasshouse Grill area, but ate pizza from the nearby in- house pizzeria. We had a mushroom pizza and a prawn pizza. I can't say much about the prawns because I don't like them but DIL and son think it's the best. I liked the mushroom pizza which had whole mushrooms on it rather than the sliced ones. The little nipper had Dino chicken nuggets and fries, known as chips in Oz. Crisps are what we Yanks call chips.
It was noisy, full of families and romping kids headed to the inside playground. I didn't get a real tour but looked at various areas on the way in and out. It's a very special place. read more
