    Extremely Disappointed - Would Not Recommend D&K Property Management…read more We interviewed multiple property management companies in August and September of 2023 to oversee our home in the Tri-Cities. Ultimately, we selected D&K based on several assurances that, unfortunately, were not fulfilled. It took approximately 3.5 months to rent the property, far longer than we were led to expect. Despite assurances that periodic walk-throughs would be conducted during the tenancy to ensure the home was being properly maintained, this never happened. We were even required to pay for our own advertising on Zillow. Later, we paid for a follow-up inspection ourselves, which revealed damage to the home, including issues with the siding. We immediately requested that repairs be completed before winter to avoid water intrusion. Despite repeated follow-ups, the only action taken by D&K was to "check in" with the tenants--no enforcement or resolution occurred. When the tenants vacated the home in April 2025, they left behind over $7,600 in damages. D&K refused to assist in obtaining repair estimates, leaving us--living across the country--to coordinate everything ourselves. Although we were told we had 30 days to submit documentation for deductions from the tenant's deposit, I was abruptly given just one day's notice--on day 17--that the information was due immediately. Throughout this ordeal, D&K continued to hold the owner's deposit for the full 30 days, despite refusing to help coordinate or manage repairs. When I asked how the tenants would be held accountable for damages beyond the deposit, I was told the charges would be sent to collections--at our expense, with no clear explanation of those costs. I've been a Realtor for 23 years and have previously managed rental properties myself. Based on this experience, I would absolutely not recommend D&K to anyone. They charge a premium for minimal effort, fail to uphold their responsibilities, and ultimately left us to manage the fallout from a tenant they selected. There are many other property management companies in the area--do yourself a favor and choose a different one.

We spent hours and hours cleaning. There was mold all over the bathroom, the laundry room floor was falling in..... the washer and dryer wouldn't fit in the tiny space next to each other so we couldn't get the back door to open or close because the washer was in the way. The carpet was disgusting, cobwebs everywhere. The toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned EVER. I had to ask multiple times for things to be fixed...... still waiting on a back door lock to be replaced and that was from April 2020. If you value your money..... do not rent from this company. I promise you will regret it!!! They don't even deserve 1 star....

Very dirty condition with evidence of mold, significant amount of trash left behind, holes in the wall, poor paint job, damaged flooring. The yard needed mowing and was full of leaves and brush. The floor is so bad in the laundry room that the washer shakes violently when it goes into the spin cycle. Two GFCI's did not work. No electric outlet in MBR bath. Sounds and evidence of squirrels in the attic. Sink in MBR bath almost fell off, kitchen faucet leaks, dishwasher leaks, water leaks under rear door in a rainstorm, heat pump cannot keep the house warm on cold days, peeling paint from the tiles in the main bath, missing towel bar, missing filter in range hood, many doors do not open and close properly, lazy Susan does not operate smoothly. Damaged or missing locks on windows. Damaged or missing window screens. We have been here over a month and still waiting for some maintenance items to be taken care of. Property manager has been difficult to deal with. We call him and he says Yes but does nothing. Takes repeated calls to get something done.

They will check you out a key as they hold onto your social security card for insurance. Second, the property that I saw needed a lot of time and money put into it to make it inhabitable. It needed a good paint job inside and out. The bathtub was filthy, as were the kitchen cabinets, and kitchen floor. I returned the key within the expected timeframe. The manager was on the phone for a long time with a property owner, and she did apologize. At this point, I did mention to the manager my concern with leaving my social security card in hopes that she would pass along the message to her boss. She stated that no one else had a problem with leaving their social security cards. I'm not sure how she could determine whether everyone else actually did dislike that practice or not. She also stated she was the manager so I know she was not going to pass along the message to the owner of the company. She also said she was sorry it wouldn't work out, dismissing me before I could suggest hiring someone to show properties. Basically, this company does not want to spend money to ensure good business practices. The manager was unprofessional. She had a sign hanging about how people can "suck it up." It was all about how she didn't want to listen to complaints. I'm just wondering how someone uncaring, disrespectful, and rude would handle things that are actually a concern that a tenant might want fixed. We will not be using this company, and I hope if you do, you have a better experience than ours.
