As a former international hospitality consultant, I have experienced many different owners and managers - but nothing like the ones at The Creekwalk Inn who also owns and manages agatlinburgcabin.com. I booked a cabin for my son's honeymoon very recently. The booking process was stressful and unaccommodating. When my kids arrived at the cabin, they found silverfish in the heart-shaped tub as well as an abundance of dirt which they had to clean, because they arrived late in the evening. My son describes the cabin as a run down and neglected property. My daughter in law contracted UTI during their first use of the outdoor hot tub. Guests were asked to strip the bed and place towels and bed sheets into the washing machine, as well as taking care of the garbage. All this for $ 130 per night! The owners do not assume responsibility and respond rather arrogant when these things were mentioned. My recommendation - do not book this cabin!

It's as simple as that. Check they're webpage out, find the cabin or cabin's you want, reserve it online. Very simple to use, and plenty of pictures to check out. Once you reserve a cabin, you are not told the address. You will go to the main office, sign some paperwork, and are given turn for turn directions on how to get to the reserved cabin. Also, no keys are given, all the doors are set up with key code locks. Checking out is simple, they say by 10 am, but I don't suppose they actually have a way of knowing when you leave. The cabin I reserved was a three bedroom, and located not too far from the office. Simple Pleasures was the name, and honestly the pictures do it more justice than it deserves. The best thing it has is the real wood burning fireplace. We had problems, I love hot tubs, and this hot tub was broke with TONS of mold growing all over it. I called the office, and informed them. Talk about customer service! The ladies in the office are uber friendly and very accommodating. They sent me to a different cabin at no charge, Hillbilly Hilton. WOW this place is AMAZING! The view is spectacular, three stories, three bedrooms, all king size beds, three full size bathrooms with twin sinks, power jet tubs, and rain style ceiling showers. The hot tub worked flawlessly. Though out of my crew staying in the cabin, I was the only one brave enough to venture into it with the sub freezing temperatures. The cabin had direct TV, a pool table, indoor sauna, and everything you'd need to stay for a week. Plates, pots, pans... you name it and it's there. One draw back to this cabin, propane fireplaces... All in all Gatlinburg Cabins offer a variety of cabins, and the one I stayed at was superb and the staff is top notch!

Student Quarters used to have not the best reputation and some poor reviews in the past, but I believe it currently truly has addressed every single concern that was raised. I originally was terrified to live off-campus, due to some very poor reviews at most apartments nearby. Though, I believe that SQ has made incredible improvements to breakthrough a once poor reputation in the past. I LOVE David McInturff, the Supervisor Maintenance Man, he is SO kind and helpful!! Student Quarters has been an incredible home for me, and presented me no critical issues. I have really enjoyed the Buc Shot, the security, and the ease of living here as a student. My only recommendations is that it's tennants are required to be ETSU students, as to avoid rooming with a grown adult who is not a student. I have loved my experience at SQ!!!

This place sucks. When I moved in I was missing a doorknob, my carpet was nasty (to the point the…read morebottom of my feet would turn black if I walked in it barefoot) because they forgot to change it, there was an electrical outlet missing its cover, plus one of my roommates had fleas in her carpet because the previous person must've had a pet with fleas or when they changed the carpet it was contaminated or something and in order for it to be fixed (both my carpet and hers) her mother had to go yell at the staff to fix it because they kept ignoring it. Then later we got a cockroach problem and even after sending in a couple maintenance reports nothing was fixed until we (once again) had to call our parents to get it fixed, and later down the line there was also a mouse that had somehow made it in. Then, ON TOP OF THAT, we noticed our washer was leaking and water was coming up from our flooring so we reported it right away, they then came and fixed the issue but I still noticed we had water coming up from the floorboard so I reported it again. It was then that we got into a whole argument with them because we had mold and they said we didn't. It was once again not until we involved parents that they would actually begin to do anything about it, which mind you all they did was rip up the flooring and give us a dehumidifier, and they said it was fixed. I AM ALLERGIC TO MOLD BY THE WAY!!! Even after I told them I was suffering from health issues because of the mold all they did was come spray it down with some chemicals and called it a day. One of the managers even tried to tell me that my health declining was because of the dust. I did SEVEN mold test to prove them wrong, four surface test and three air quality test, and every single one came back positive, I then showed it to the maintenance man and he tried to tell me that those test "don't work" and that if I were to use one on him it would come back positive, THIS WAS A 40 YEAR OLD MAN! Also at some point during all of this they came to check for another leak, brought plumbers and everything, well when they left apparently they didn't put the drain hose BACK IN THE DRAIN and when I went to do laundry later that night it flooded. They had said nothing to me or any of my roommates about it other than when they came in they said not to run the water for thirty minutes while they were there and I tried to do laundry a couple hours after they had left. This place is not worth the $600-700 rent they charge each person. Basically to sum it all up we had multiple issues that they blatantly disregarded or refused to even acknowledge unless we involved our parents or they just straight up never addressed it. Whoever moves into apt 110 next just know you will have mold!

A year here showed us that the 'luxury' label is only in the marketing. After living here for a year, I feel it's important to share an honest perspective for anyone considering moving in. Unfortunately, the experience has not been what we expected, and it has been more disappointing than anything else............. The apartment had issues from day one (leaks, broken fixtures, poor water pressure), and the "luxury" claims don't match reality -- even the "soundproof flooring" doesn't stop you from hearing every detail (at least that's what our conversation with our downstairs neighbor let us know on.... 2 weeks in). Neighbors were nitpicky, and we received constant complaints, even outside of quiet hours, with staff quick to side with them....... For the high price, the atmosphere and quality simply weren't worth it. From the beginning, there were issues inside the unit itself -- the roof leaked when we moved in, the toilet handle was broken and rusted, and the refrigerator is extremely small for the size of the apartment. Water pressure and hot water are both below average, which doesn't fit the "luxury" description advertised. The car wash station, while a nice idea, was closed more often than it was available. The bigger challenge, however, was the overall living environment. Many of the neighbors were very fussy, overbearing, and fault-finding; we often received unreasonable complaints -- at times being accused of things we didn't do (by the police officer they have on-site) simply because of our age..... (we are young adults 28-31)' The clubhouse staff frequently relayed these complaints through early morning emails, which became draining over time. On top of that, our downstairs neighbor would regularly message us about "noise" even though it was outside of quiet hours. The complex advertises "luxury living with soundproof flooring," but in reality, you can hear nearly every detail from daily life, which made things uncomfortable and frustrating. Instead of fostering a welcoming community, the focus often seemed to lean toward appeasing those who complain the loudest... We've lived in several apartment complexes in the past, and unfortunately this has been the most difficult experience in terms of neighborly behavior and overall atmosphere, with subpar appliances. It's disappointing, especially given the cost to live here. I don't usually leave reviews, and I'm not writing this out of anger -- only to give future residents a realistic understanding of what to expect. Everyone's experience will be different, but this was ours, and I hope it helps others make a more informed decision.
