First time eating there. They moved to a new location. The interior is nice. We got there before lunch and there was already a crowd. I'm unsure how long they've been in the new building! They seemed a bit uncoordinated like they are trying to iron out all the bugs! Took a while to get to the front, when we did, I ordered a pound of ribs, 1/2 pound of sausage, fatty brisket and a half chicken. Then for sides, brisket baked beans, butter potatoes and green beans. The brisket was tender, but lacked seasoning and I like a light smoked flavor. Next the chicken was very good. The sausage was cut it in thin diagonal slices. I prefer cut across and thicker pieces. It was dry! Lastly the ribs. They were fall off the bone tender. The seasoning was light and the outside bark of the ribs tasted like it was mopped with the sauce. Slightly sweet, but again no light smoke flavor. I'll try again, but get there earlier! Before we left they had a long line and as slow as they are, if the folks had a job to go back to, I don't see how they made it in time. I forgot the sides. Green beans were good. The baked beans and brisket are real good, but the best was the butter potatoes! I loved them! I'd love to give them a higher value, but they need to improve a bit! Still not bad! read more

We drove to Nada this morning for a visit and around lunch we just happened to see Pitt Viper BBQ on our Google Maps. We ordered a pound of everything and NOTHING DISAPPOINTED! The food was amazing! The meat on the ribs was falling off the bone, the chicken rub was so good, everything was cooked perfectly and the taste was delicious! The service was quick and friendly and left us wishing we lived closer. Very cute restaurant, wish we didn't take it to go. If we're ever close by again, we'll definitely come back! read more

We stopped here for lunch today. Ordered brisket nachos, sliced brisket, and ribs. Our nachos were covered in nacho cheese dripping off the chips. They could save on their food cost and use half the queso. It was too much all the chips were soggy and the brisket had a lot of chunks of fat in it. Sliced brisket was ordered moist cut and was delivered very dry. The fat was no rendered looking as tho they smoked for maybe an hour and then finished in an oven and reheated in a warmer. I have to admit that I had my doubts about this place located in a parking lot but I'm sure glad that I gave them a try. I'm local so I know what is good and what is not in my home town. Viper BBQ is GOOD BBQ. Good smoke on the meat, not overwhelming but you sure know that it is there, the brisket is tender, the pork ribs are juicy and flavorful...it's good BBQ. I mean it's Texas and BBQ is King and we have a couple of good BBQ places nearby and Pitt Viper is another place where you can get good pit BBQ at decent prices. I waited 20 minutes in line with 2 cars in front of me. to get 3 slices of brisket and paid $16. Place is way too expensive for the amount of food you get. It won't last long in El Campo. no fork or paper towels were given. How am I am I supposed to eat? BBQ did not have a good smoke flavor, green beans tasted like they were straight out of the can either the juice that comes out of it, and potatoes weren't that great. Don't recommend. We were driving through south texas and wanted some good bbq, took a chance on this place with few reviews but some good looking pictures. Man, we were not disappointed. We knew we had found something good when they were sold out of a couple items already at noon! We ended up getting the brisket tacos with pico, and they were excellent.
