Effortless Travel. If you are ready to truly get away call YASS. My daughter and I recently enjoyed…read morea cruise vacation. And called Eddie to transport us to the airport. He provided top notch service arriving early at my house. His vans are brand spanking new and sparkly clean. We originally flew out of Springfield and on trip home missed our connection. Since, we didn't have a car to worry about left at the airport, we were able to reroute to Northwest Arkansas. A simple text message was all it took to have YASS curbside with a smile to pick us and an extra unscheduled passenger up for the Journey home. So if you want classy door to door service from home to the airport, call or schedule YASS online.

Being from the SF Bay Area, those winter roads w/ snow and ice are not my fave :( My cousin told me recently, "Joplin has a Regional Airport and you can fly right in!" So I did: SFO to Denver to Joplin. The Joplin airport is small, attractive, modern, and has two rental car options (Avis, Budget), plus all the TSA personnel and security equipment as required. On the return flight, the agent checked my bags through to SFO upon arrival, I went through security, and joined the other passengers in the comfortable boarding area. Boarding was fast and efficient. I'm a fan! Rating: 5 stars

I had to wait a bit once, being early, because the ticket agent wasn't yet on duty. When they had finished checking the passengers in, they walked over to the TSA area (about 50 steps away, no joke). Then we were checked in and through TSA in about 5 minutes. On the other side, there's a be stage center and a vending machine. Probably an available, working outlet to charge a phone. It was also clean, pleasant, and not crowded. Did I mention the free parking?! This airport gets 4 stars only because it's so small there aren't many airlines or direct destinations. But by all means, fly into Joplin if you can. Springfield is big, bustling, brash. Joplin is a GEM!

And the owner, manager, and hostess, is an amazing, warm and lovely lady who is totally given to hospitality. The place quickly became our home away from home.

The hosts Laura and Mel make you feel very comfortable. They are able to give you complete privacy while making you also feel that you are a welcomed guest. Our room felt more like an apartment. Going as far to let us know if there was something missing in the kitchen that we wanted she would get it for us. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

There were 2 hand towels, body towels, and 1 floor mat. No need to request additional, this was more than enough. There was a delicious-smelling breakfast waiting the next morning, but I was in a rush to get back onto the road. Wish I'd taken the time to eat, in retrospect. The lovely front desk attendant was very sweet, professional, and clear. I have had none of the major issues others have mentioned. After staying at hotels all over the U.S., I can confirm, having a venting bathroom fan and complete control over the AC is becoming a rarity. The AC is typical of almost any motel/hotel you stay at. It hits you with the fan directly, so you have to find the right balance of sheets and covers, as the temperature difference between when it's on and off drifts a bit. Overall I'm very pleased with my stay at the Regency. I booked through their website and paid at the desk in-person. The price was about $88 after taxes and fees. Definitely recommended. Be kind, and I believe that kindness will be returned. If you're on your way through Pittsburg, KS and need a place to stay, seriously consider this as a place to rest.

Also the motel's bed was super hard, the old AC unit came off & on every 10 minutes so we didn't get any sleep. You can only put so much paint on the wall. This is a old MOTEL! I wouldn't pay $5 if you can't get sleep! And their doing upcharges on their partner reservations sites!! Shouldn't need to be deceptive to your guests.
