I am a huge soda fan and I came to this place hoping to find the specific type of soda, made with…read moresugar, that I like the most. I did not find it here becausea it is extremely hard-to-find but what I did find here was other sodas and other goodies that are equally hard-to-find at totally reasonable prices! This place is located in the heart of the area where most of the Hispanic people in San Jose live and therefore you'll find a lot of Hispanic goods here, and a very little of anything else. The sodas here are mostly sodas that are sold in HIspanic supermarkets and restaurants and the list never ends. Mexican Coke, Mexican Pepsi, Mexican Sprite, Mexican Fanta Orange, Jarritos in every flavor, you name it they got it! It is a veritable smorgasbord for the soda fan and if you like your soda made with REAL CANE SUGAR like I have you have found your Holy Grail, smack dab in the middle of San Jo! I plan on coming here later this week to buy some great sodas that I cannot get easily and since I feel like I want to splurge I'll get some yummy Mexican candy too! I really do like Cash & Carry type stores cos they are vital for people like me who can't find what they like at reasonable prices anywhere else, but these places always have what I want whenver I want!

This is like a Costco, but for Latin groceries. Roll after a row of groceries and a lot of other…read moregoodies. We chanced up upon the spot and ended up buying a bunch of things including some we probably won't be using.

I had a tricky supply line pumping job up in Silver Creek. Given distance and traffic, I knew I'd…read morehave only 1 shot at getting the job right or the customer would have gone without water for a second day. None of the parts were available locally at Home Depot, my go-to, because I needed an odd-size, 1-1/4. So I went to Rubenstein's a bought 600+ dollars of parts, and I told the counter guys "this stuff is probably all coming back, I wish you had a restocking fee because it's only fair that I pay for borrowing the parts." they just waved me off and assured me come on back we'll take care of you. At the end of the day, only the most expensive part, the valve, and 1 other part was needed to close up the line, finish the job, and put a smile on my customer's face. Two days later, I returned everything else and the guys were unfailingly upbeat and helpful. For a plumbing store, in this particular situation, this is unusual. I left feeling good about the whole process.

There's some confusion on their operating hours. If you are there to pick up, you can enter…read morethrough their small pickup department to the right of the store and they open at 8am. But if you are there for the showroom or to talk to the sales people, the show room opens at 10am. When we got there it was 9:15am, so we waited outside and as the time went, more people lined up as they all thought they opened at 8. Once inside, the sales people are very friendly and nice. Kyle helped me out given my contact was on vacation. They are not on commission base, so there's less selling pressure. He showed me all the fixtures, the bidet options, the sink and their bathroom could be double used as a showroom. You can certainly try the bidet setup there to get a feel of an upgrade from the normal toilet. I like the sink they carry which is Toto and the maintenance is easy. Kyle was detail-oriented and he even discussed the option of having the overflow drain on the inside or facing the outside. After the discussion, once he puts a quote together for the items we were interested in, the rest could be done via email. So after shopping around, we emailed him about what we wanted and asked more questions for other items' specs. Everything was done on email and was convenient. After we finalize the decisions and Kyle put in the sales order, I just need to call them to pay with credit card. The whole process is seamless. Discounts are also applied if the contractor has an account with them. Once we had the order, I just need to drop it to the contractor and they will do the pickup. Easy peasy.....

This is the best restaurant supply store in the bay area for home cooks for both selection and…read moreprice. 1) the home style cuisinart food processors have small motors. They aren't designed for making baby food, almond butter from almonds or grinding frozen meat into paste for making cha lua or hotdogs. Can smell the burning electric motor smell from home appliances. This smell is toxic and emits cancer causing chemicals. The commercial appliances here don't have that problem. Costs more but you have equipment which fits the task. 2) The home pizza ovens which are popular require peels to get the pizze in and out of the 800 degree oven. They sell both metal and wood versions. The pizza stones for home ovens are much cheaper here than Amazon because it costs more to ship heavy items and AMZN adjusts the price to reflect that even though shipping is "free". Prices better than online and you can see the quality of the product. They have both 16 and 12 inch sizes for peels, etc.. The newer lower cost electric/gas home pizza ovens are 12. They have bread baking pans and detroit pizza pans in stock! No need to go online to get them. The long handles for pizza peels make them unattractive for shipping. If they are shipped then price is 2x of what you see here. 3) Cutting boards, they have the fancy John Boos wood cutting board considered by many to be the best made to cheaper and lighter bamboo boards and poly ones. All come in larger sizes. Not the smaller sizes sold in costco. Much better variety here. Same comment as above for pizza stones. Cheaper than online because heavy items are expensive to ship. Will never get a sub $50 price for a large cutting board online but you can here. 4) Kitchen utensils, heat proof spatulas, long handled stainless steel soup spoons, slotted spoons; stainless steel serving tongs, thermometers, everthing 1/3 - 1/4 the cost of williams sonoma with more useful design like longer handles for deep stock pots. WS doesn't sell long handled spoons. spatulas, because most home cooks have cheaper small pots and skillets. 5) steamers, they have larger sized bamboo and stainless steel steamers for making dimsum. The Asian markets have a limited selection of steamers and WS or costco will never sell steamers. Designed for Asian cuisine. Steaming much healthier then other forms of cooking. 6) Glassware, they have the larger Picardie, 16oz+ in stock! They don't break. Most RS stores only sell cheaper imitations but they are the same price and the Picardie glasses here and lousy quality. 7) Plastic serverware; they sell larger dimension plastic serving platters; good for parties or home use. The larger ones made of porcelain are too heavy and difficult to store. They only go up to a certain size because of cost. Recently most serverware is more than 100-300 each because of inflation. They see reduced sales because of the increased prices and most places are transitioning to not carrying these higher cost items.

Excellent selection and friendly knowledgeable service. I have shopped here several times. Home…read moreCook
