So one of the issues was partially our own fault, because we realized we didn't feel comfortable speaking up and asking for changes during the massage with so many people in the room. However, we were asked when we came in if we had particular areas we wanted focused on. We both said which areas, but felt that those areas barely got any attention. My mid back, which I had asked for focus on, got the least out of any area of my body, and I left with my main sore area hurting as badly as before. I did get a hot stone add-on, and that may have been part of the problem. It felt like my massage was a rehearsed process rather than tailored to me and what I needed. Both of us also experienced the therapists using elbows on bony protrusions in our bodies. Elbows were jabbed into our spines, and for me also a ton of the elbow sliding down my back and landing very hard on the top of my pelvis on my lower back. It hurt pretty badly, and I had bruising there the next day. I was tensing up a lot and not breathing, but it wasn't noticed. My boyfriend had deep tissue, but also felt that it was more painful because of elbows on his bones than it was actually getting deep into muscle tissue. Also on the plus side though, both therapists were very nice and professional. It just felt more like there is a specific rehearsed way of doing it than intuitive or tailored to the individual.

Worst service and massage I've ever experienced…read more Paige was the masseuse who showed up with the worst attitude. It's like she was angry she had to work on a Sunday. My husband went out to meet her in our driveway to see if she might want some help with the things she needed to bring in. In part, in our breezeway there was a puddle she would encounter from the rain the night before. Apparently she had an attitude with him, so much that he came in and mentioned that if the massage doesn't start off good to just call it off. I should've listened to him. I welcomed her into our Master Bedroom from the patio. She never said hi or introduced herself. Just that she needed to set up. Before she started the massage I was asked if I had anything in particular that needed attention. She didn't have actual massage oil. Palmer's Coco Butter is what she planned on using. I've never had a masseuse use anything but massage oil. I asked her to use my lotion because I was unsure of what Palmers might contain. She never thanked me or apologized for being unprepared. As far as I was concerned the massage was incomplete. She worked on my back and feet twice and basically just rubbed lotion on my arms and legs. This was a 90 minute massage so she had plenty of time to spend on my legs and arms. With all of the massages I've had over the years, I've NEVER had a masseuse work on my feet twice. When the massage was over she abruptly informed she was finished and that I could get up and get dressed. Normally a masseuse will softly let you know that the massage is over, ask how you feel, tell you to take your time getting up. Not this so called masseuse. Another negative was when I booked the appointment I requested Danica Queen. I received a confirmation by email the same day I scheduled the appointment. Everything checked out so I confirmed the appointment. Next day I received a reminder via text earlier in the day and then later on in the day I received another confirmation by email again. I didn't see that confirmation till later that night. I just figured they were sending a text and email like a lot of businesses do. I really didn't pay attention to the email. That email confirmation, when I looked at it later on, had Paiges' name on it. They changed masseuses on me without me being aware of it. What a professional business would've done is call to explain that the person whom was requested originally was unable to make it. Instead, they were sneaky and sent out another confirmation with Paige's name. Another thing is Paige assumed I wanted a Swedish massage. I mention this because on the Moonstone website the Swedish Massage & Deep Tissue Massage are grouped together under the same price. Paige never asked me which type of massage I wanted. When you use your credit card be prepared for an extra charge for using it. Nowhere on the website is it indicated that you'll be charged for using your card. After Paige left I called the number on the Moonstone website. A pleasant woman answered right away. I explained to her all of my concerns and let her know I would be leaving a review that was not going to be good. She asked me please not to leave a bad review because they work really hard for their reputation. Not her exact words. I can't believe she would even ask that after this horrible experience. The following day I received an email from the manager (?) Valerie. She made excuse after excuse of why it was ok for Paige's bad attitude and service. I was really hoping that this Moonstone Mobile Massage would work out. Guess not.
