Low on carbs with the Pita. High on fiber if you go wheat on the Pita and throw some veggies in the mix. I always throw in some spinach, hummus and carrots. They used to have a location at the Mall of America which is now long gone. I'm in Hudson once every couple months. Usually end up stopping here for some fast and easy and cheap grub. Was there a week or two ago. Got my usual double turkey on wheat and took it to one of the two nearby breweries in the land of freedom across the river from the land of restrictions. read more

I did not realize this was a chain restaurant but was needing something quick and healthy. I had the Baja Chicken Bacon Ranch pita and was n instant fan! Everything in the pita was so fresh and it was so quick. The girl at the checkout was extremely helpful in helping me make my choice. I love how it shows calorie count as well! read more

My first visit to Pita Pit - thumbs up! I was impressed with Pita Pit. It's a fast food style, pick your own condiments type of place with tons of options and very economical pricing. They had a small sign near the register which listed local favorites. Very cool. I picked the Bacon Cheeseburger Pita with all the toppings, stuffed inside a white flour pita - yum! I also tried some interesting extras. I tried the Miss Vickie's jalapeno kettle chips - very flavorful. A got a double chocolate chip cookie - crispy & good - but kinda small and wimpy. I also tried a Bai dragon fruit drink - a little strange but good. There were 2 young women working behind the counter. Maddy was super helpful, friendly, and cheery. Since I was a first-timer, she explained everything very well. It wasn't too much or overbearing. It was just right. Her co-worker was like a mad scientist chef whipping up my ingredients. I like to indulge in the tastier things in life, but Pita Pit, especially this location, blew my expectations out of the water. My boyfriend got the gyro, and it was actually quite good! I on the other hand gor the siracha chicken pita and my life changed for the better. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp. I subbed out the honey mustard sauce for jalapeno ranch, and boy did it have a delicious kick! We met a gal named Jen here and she was truly a pleasure to talk to. She answered all our questions and helped us make the perfect pitas! The soups are really pricey, but the chicken tortilla soup was so good even our picky toddler loved it! They have an excellent array of veggies, cheese and spreads for your sandwich. This was my 1st time ordering from the pita pit, I have to say I was not impressed. The delivery came quickly but the sandwiches are very blah. The gyro is loaded with Spinach and I think the feta was bad, and way to much. Hardly any tzatziki sauce. Really disappointed in the quality of food. First I ordered a falafel wrap. I was really disappointed that the falafels are not fresh at all. They heat them up on the same grill as the meat. As a vegetarian that is worst. They use the same utensils for the meat they do with the falafels. When I ate my meal, the falafels were gross and mushy. They were not even cooked all the way through. My boyfriend ordered a gyro and he said the meat tasted bland. No taste at all. His meat was cold as well. I would never go back here. read more

I have been to the pita pit twice now with my family and we all love it. I personally have enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak pita and buffalo chicken pita. I would recommend this place to anyone. They also have a kids meal for my kids that gives them just the right amount of food. read more

Really different than other Greek sandwiches that I have had and really enjoyable. Huge amount of filling, produce was truly fresh including the lettuce and tomatoes, and meat was prepared right in front of us and cooked. Take a little time because they make your sandwich right after you order it but well worth the small wait. read more

This was far better than I expected and a better choice if your buying fast food. The pita is thin which I prefer and still holds up under the fillings. There was a lot of veggies in the gyro sandwich and it was tasty. The staff had a disinterested, flat affect but provided good enough customer service. Pita Pit's food is outstanding but their customer service could use some work! Since its opening, I have frequented this location at least twice a week during my lunch break and raved about the delicious food to friends, but no more. During the lunch rush I had to wait 28 minutes (I eventually started timing, so maybe a little longer) to receive my pita sandwich. I was sent to a rolling station that was busy rolling a large party's orders and 3 groups of people behind me had been sent to a different line and already gotten their pitas and left. I work in a customer service setting myself and understand the chaos that can ensue during busy hours but the disorganization was absolutely incredulous. I politely asked to be moved to the quicker line and was moved all the way to the back, where I continued to wait. I voiced my concern to an employee, seeing as I could no longer eat my pita since my lunch break was coming to a close and I had not yet received my paid for pita sandwich. He was very understanding and said I should speak with his manager. The manager was very short with me and did not even acknowledge or apologize for the wait even after I expressed my concern. I will not be going back due to the disorganization and lack of respect for customers time. Something has to change during the busy hours to keep customers happy! read more

Husband and I stopped there last night and ate at a table outside overlooking I-94 (though think that'll be blocked by another building soon). Register person seemed confused a bit by ordering process, but we managed. I got falafel (though not a veg) and husband got the gyros. My falafels were in pieces but crisp. I didn't notice the grill thing, but am not a veg, as I said. I also don't mind the reheat, as I make them up ahead of time at home, too. I love that I was able to customize the fillings, so I added roasted red peppers to the usual lettuce, onion, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta and tzikki (sp?) sauce. The pita itself was actually very tasty on its own, unlike some other pita breads. By the time the sandwich artist finished with my pita, it was stuffed. One thing that's kind of strange is the artist kind of tore at the pita with his fingers to open it up. There's got to be a better way, or some kind of took that they could use. Think about it, owners! It klnd of looks bad. My husband said his was good, but that the gyros chunks were obviously purchased in chunks, not shaved on the spot (don't have a rotisserie). However, 2 days later, he ordered another one, which tells you something. They have some chips, and I think I saw a fruit side for not as much as maybe some others, but I don't know what the quantity would be, either. They have one of those neat drink dispensers that allows you to choose from among about 50 different beverages. I only wanted water, but for the life of me, couldn't find the water button, so just dispensed "fruit water." They should just put out an ice pitcher of water for people. All in all, good. THE BEST SANDWICH IN TOWN!!!!! I am SO happy with this place! How rare, still, that faster-food restaurants understand that a vegetarian wants MORE than just cheese and a few vegetables!! I am completely enjoying my custom, maxed-out black-bean burger, veggie and cheese sandwich right now!! To get to have mushrooms, onions, and peppers grilled to add to this too is awesome. The number and quality of topping items - veggies (including roasted red peppers, and even corn!), cheeses, cilantro, HUMMUS, creamy tzatziki sauce, etc. makes this place even better than Subway and Charley's Philly Steak Sandwiches COMBINED. WINNER!!!!! Whereas even Subway has (so sadly!) discontinued serving their hot veggie "burger" patty at most of their restaurants I have visited, THIS PLACE "GETS" IT!!!! Again, I say, WINNER!!!!!
