So we Finally called this place they picked up the phone and we told them what was going on and the guy on the phone told us to bring it in and they will look at it. We arrived and talked with Chris I think that's what his name was he was nice. He hooked up his computer and did what ever he did on it and went under the hood and started messing around with wires un hooking this and that and yes he let me watch. He found a problem with a black thing I forgot what it was called. So he ordered one and i think it was about 45 min and he was done with it. No more missing and the price wasn't bad. The only reason for the 4 stars is they didn't have a waiting room they had chair's and a picnic table to sit down at out side. But they are a Small shop with 2 over head doors. But the service was great and they did offer us something to drink while we were waiting. I lost all…read morepower to my vehicle, threw a rod, and the engine went into safety mode so I had time to cross traffic onto an easement. I was in the middle of nowhere alone. Not a sole in sight. I had trouble finding a wrecker service because I didn't have much of a cell signal. The tow company, Steve Steel's, out of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, found exactly where I was calling from. He called me back within 5 minutes and had a truck on the way. While waiting, I checked the oil, checked for burning electrical, checked the coolant, etc. So Steel's sent me to Morgan's based on his recommendation of, "I wouldn't take my car anywhere else, ma'am". Chris and his family were warm, caring, courteous people. They welcomed me in their Home while Chris and his son worked on my car. When I say they worked on my car, I mean they busted their butts to try to get me on the road. They worked all day into the evening, and we had to pause until the next day. They took me to where I'd booked a room for the night and they worked nearly all day Saturday to figure out what the heck was happening. Turns out there was an open recall on the very recall was the reason I was stranded. They put the car BACK TOGETHER for me and got me to my sister who came from an hour + and Morgan's took care of the pickup of my vehicle by the Steel's and I had a solution to everything. If you're broke down near Broken Bow, OK, that's the only place to take your car and know you're being truly taken care of. Chris was honest and was absolutely trustworthy. I've dealt with a LOT of mechanics across the nation because of my job and with 100% certainty I would go there before ANY of the companies I've dealt with. To make a long story short, they've really gone out of there way on more than one occasion to help me with car issues. The workers and management here are kind, professional, and really just care about helping customers with their vehicles. The first story was earlier this year with my wife's car. We drove to church on Sunday and noticed that there was a ticking sound in the engine. Walmart was the only oil change place in town that was open, so I took it there. After looking at it for a good 45 minutes, they refused even to put oil in it. They said it was "definitely a rod knock," and "the oil filter is a cheap off brand and is leaking so we can't look at it." Anyway, I was pretty nervous after that. My wife was pretty sure the last place she got her oil changed was here at Harris, so Monday morning I called them up. I let them know the situation, and the manager came to my apartment and put oil in it for me so I didn't have to drive it, potentially dangerously. Upon looking at the filter, he said it wasn't leaking, there was just a bit of residue on it. Also, they didn't use those filters so my wife hadn't actually been there for her last oil change. Despite that, they still took care of us and helped us. It wasn't a rod knock by the way, it just needed a bit of oil. The second story happened just yesterday. I'm borrowing a family vehicle at the moment, and my family asked if I could get the oil changed while I have it. I took it in, and immediately there was a problem. The oil plug wasn't coming out. The threads were stripped from the last place my family had taken it. The worker started explaining to me that I should take it where it was serviced last because of the stripped bolt. The manager heard this, and came over to talk to me. I explained that it wasn't my vehicle, I wasn't sure where it was serviced last, and it was definitely not in town. He then took care of it himself. After working at it for a few minutes. he got the stripped bolt out, had to tap in new threads, and put in a new plug. He didn't have to do all of that, especially since they could have turned me away and avoided all responsibility. They didn't. They fixed the problem for me quickly, when they didn't need to per their policies, and for a very fair price. They really distinguish themselves from other auto service businesses I've gone to. I really appreciate the workers here and highly recommend their services!
