Best pizza place south side of the river! Even caters for gluten free and even vegan. Highly recommend!

The food here is OK, except when it's not... The crab / shrimp Ravioli tasted like mystery …read more.. something, and it was old, like it had been under a heat lamp for a while. When I complained about it to the waitress she was dismissive, didn't seem concerned at all -- she said " No one has ever complained about that ravioli before." They didn't offer me a credit or a replacement dish, so I paid and of course am not planning on returning. I have to say that this is the worst service I've gotten in Australia and I've spent months here. They must get a lot of Tourist foot traffic at La Dolce Vita , as their food is below average and they don't seem too interested in making their diners happy.

When I told him, he said his waitress made a mistake and charged me the special price. Then when my friend went in to pay, she overheard him yelling at the waitress and complaining about ME! Went back a second time for lunch, on the benefit of the doubt that perhaps it was just a once off. Owner did not crack a smile the whole time I was there, didn't ask me how I was and when I asked him how he was he ignored me and just stared waiting for me to tell him what I want. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

For our almost-regular Tuesday lunches, we decided to head to Mrs. Luu's to grab a sandwich, and…read moreended up giving in to our desires for an iced hot chocolate! Oh, the calories! I've been wanting to try Bunker for the longest time, and today was the day. I love the vine covered hub, which reminds me of a burrow, and of a cafe that I used to visit back in L.A. Instead of getting my usual latte, I went for the bottled ice dark chocolate (5). I'm not the biggest fan of hot chocolate, as it's usually too sweet and heavy for me to finish (I know, strange, because I can finish a whole Chipotle burrito), but I decided that the unusually warm weather called for an iced chocolate. We were greeted by a really friendly barista who helped us right away - and well - the iced dark chocolate and dark chocolate mocha were pre-bottled, so there wasn't much work. The iced dark chocolate, made with organic milk (I think?) and fair trade chocolate, was quickly consumed! It wasn't too sweet, and I would definitely go for it again. The iced dark mocha was also really good, and not at all grainy, which often happens in a lot of mochas. My only complaint was that the bottles were a bit harder to open (I prefer Bean's bottles), and the straws were too short and kept falling in! The drinks were so delicious it didin't matter though....

Sitting against the cool brick wall sipping an ice coffee, flat white or hot chocolate you feel a million miles away from the city despite the fact Milton train station is above you. In the same way Blackstar Coffee paved the way for coffee appreciation in Brisbane many years ago, Bunker continues the tradition introducing and encouraging a new set of palettes to appreciate and respect good coffee. They also offer take-home coffee beans which they will grind for you depending on what device you'll be using them in.

As a university student back in the day -- yes, WAY back -- my friends and I would come here and have tea and coffee in the wee hours of the night, often enjoying a slice of their seriously chocolately chocolate cake. I'm sure some things have changed but it still sits right there in West End, although the round-about is now gone. I clearly remember one night, with my 2 girlfriends, in my one girlfriend's car -- her new car mind you -- and she didn't have her glasses on and she kept going around and around on the round about trying to figure out where to park and almost driving straight into the Three Monkeys. Who woulda thunk that West End was such a happening spot back then in the late 80s/early 90s? But it was and Three Monkeys is proof that when you have a great concept, it will go down in history!

It was a little unclear whether they were counter or table service (turns out counter for takeaway only) and staff were running around a little aimlessly. But eventually we got settled and given a set of menus. We ordered, only to be asked again by a different waitress if we wanted to place our order. Our food (churros with chocolate dipping sauce) and drinks (Spanish hot chocolate, one with mint, one with peanut butter) arrived in a timely fashion. All were delicious, but the drinks in particular were exceptionally rich and could have been half the size. Upon leaving we were told that the payment system had completely melted down and the staff relied on us to tell them our order and complete payment. Despite the issues with our short visit we both agreed we'd be back: chalk these up to teething issues and breathe in the chocolately goodness. The premise of this place is too good to pass up and definitely deserves a second try.
