After hearing some pretty positive things about Castelli's I decided to try it out for myself and invited another 15 of my friends to join me- it was for my birthday! I heard it was all-you-can-eat-pizza-pasta for only $21.50. That sounded like a done deal to me, so I called to make reservations and spoke with a really lovely staff member over the phone. He was very helpful and easy to talk to. It was settled, the birthday celebration will be here.
The table I had reserved was big enough to seat 18 people, so the 16 of us, plus a 5 month old, sat quite comfortably. The whole table decided on garlic bread to start with and there was a very generous amount served to us. We were then given a choice of pasta sauce for the pasta (spirals). I chose 'Vatican Chicken' which was quite tasty, however the pasta sauce seemed to be a little watery in the bowl, as were a few other pasta's my friends ordered. After the pastas, it was time for pizza. Between the 16 of us, we had to choose 2 medium pizzas and 4 large pizzas. As it was a big table, so we decided to split the table into two groups to decide on the pizza toppings. There was a huge selection of original and gourmet toppings, and we were also allowed to do half and half toppings. At first, I didn't think that would be enough, however, I think it's fair to say, it was plenty.
For $21.50, it is great value for money with what you get. And also when it's your birthday and there is a cake, they'll turn the lights down and put some sparklers on the birthday cake and start singing. It was a nice touch and I quite enjoyed the evening. read more
