Having been to Brevard numerous time, I was surprised that I was complete unaware of the venue hosting the event, the Brevard Music Center. The event itself was awesome and featured some brilliant bluegrass artists from classics like Hot Rize and Steep Canyon Rangers to up and coming artists like Molly Tuttle. The covered, open theater, is a gem. Great acoustics, beautiful facility, and great for a show on a cool evening. The property was beautifully landscaped and had little cabins and ponds throughout. I can't wait to see another show there and learn more about the BMC!

Nothing wrong with the place, except it's a bit old and dated. There were large posters hanging up for a movie from December 2012 (this review is from March 2014). The theater seats were quite comfortable and leaned back a bit. The arm rests go up if you want to snuggle with your girl.

Great showing LIZZIE! The theatre was great too lots of volunteers, and the drinks weren't crazy…read moreover priced. Clean and we got some great seats. Very talented actors and great singers. FUNNY IMO the old prudes in front of us left half way through the showing because they thought it was too risqué. God forbid two women kiss for a second- adding in details of LGBTQ+ had a plot reason in the end if they would have stayed for it. Looks like they found their way to the reviews here too unfortunately. Personally, I wouldn't take it with a grain of salt This got me interested in the lore behind Lizzie (had no clue about her previously). Would return again If you do some research many of the rumors surrounding Lizzie ranged from incest, gay lovers, and other things too which help make her an outcast along with the murder of her parents back in her days. We will be back!!

Only caveat I would note, which unfortunately not much can be done about, is the seating itself. Because this is an older style theater, the vast majority of the seating is set up in a way that you're having to tilt your head backwards and stare UP at the screen to see the show (unlike that being reserved for the bottom couple rows that nobody sits in at a modern theater). Still a good place to go in a pinch, and again, friendly staff and service, so if you're wanting to check out the latest movie (and don't want to drive into Asheville to see it), check this place out!
