To date I have been to five of the Grapefruit League stadiums and Ed Smith is absolutely my favorite. Sure, I am an O's fan and biased but even so, it's a great stadium. I love the character of the Spanish-Colonial architecture, the breezy concourse, abundant trees, big bathrooms, overall cleanliness and throw backs to Camden Yards. Camden green is abound and I like that this feels like the Orioles spring training home and not just some generic stadium. Also, people here are just happy and friendly. Both the concessions and team store are great. The team store is large and has lots of O's gear. I wish that they had more Spring Training-specific stuff. Back in the day I got some nice gear that was thoughtfully designed to incorporate elements of Florida, the Grapefruit League and the Orioles. On my most recent visit most of the gear I found was classic Orioles gear with the words "Spring Training" added to it. Snooze. There are various concession lines throughout the stadium so lines are never too long. On my recent visit I stuck to classic baseball game fare like hot dogs, soft pretzels and beer. Most concessions have the same stuff but there is one that offers healthy options and one place that is dedicated to craft beer. Also, if you're into chicken, there is a Chick-fil-A onsite. There are a few official lots for the stadium that offer parking around $20 although we paid a local business to pay in their lot for $20 which was equally as convenient. The surrounding streets close before the game and the area can get a little trafficky so if you want to be there for first pitch be sure to give yourself to find parking and your seat.

It's out first time here and didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, our experience went pretty smooth. Skip had to adjust the ball machine a few times. They had several bats and plenty of balls to get us started. My husband and I spent almost an hour there. We forgot to bring our batting gloves! Nevertheless, batting is super fun and kinda addictive, especially if you're connecting. This was a good work out. Would recommend this batting cage!

The staff and volunteers have always been friendly, and the fireworks continue to be the highlight of the show. We had a disappointing experience with the tower tickets in 2025 due to poor food quality and a lack of seating, so this year we decided to return to the field, bring our own picnic, and enjoy a more relaxed night. The weather was perfect, and we loved it. Unfortunately, parking at the end of the event overshadowed an otherwise great night. We purchased a Parking A pass for $40 and arrived early, but were redirected to general parking, which cost $30. Leaving afterward was complete chaos. There were no parking staff directing traffic, and it took us 45 minutes just to get out of the lot. Because of the parking issues, we sadly won't be returning next year. After such a nice eve, the last thing anyone wants is to end it with unnecessary stress. This was the event's 10th year, and it feels like some corners have been cut over time, when it comes to logistics and crowd management. We sincerely hope improvements are made, because the fireworks and waterfront setting truly make this a special community event.

Yesterday we met my daughter and her family there. The kids really enjoyed the omelet station, where the server showed them waffles with sprinkles and whipped cream! We got a king beach view room. Room needed to be updated BAD. They had set up a nice plate of cookies and chocolates for our honeymoon but the writing said happy anniversary. Not a huge deal we were happy they at least did something, champagne they gave us was nice. The room had a closet with a giant air conditioning unit inside of it that was constantly turning on and off and that's all you can hear. It was close enough to the bed that I wasn't gonna be able to sleep because of how loud it was. One of the lamps in the room didnt work, including an outlet. I understand things happen or fail, but when you're paying this amount of money to stay in a hotel like this, I expected better. What was the worst was when we went down to the pool. It was extremely crowded and there were TONS of kids. That being said nobody was controlling their kids at all. A group of children were kicking around a soccer ball aggressively and almost hit me and my husband multiple times. The kids were jumping up on the pool loungers and over the small tables in between that had full drinks on them. The staff watched and did not do a damn thing, some of the parents joined in and were kicking the ball as well thinking it was funny. It was an extreme liability not only for other people, but children running around a busy, wet pool deck is not something that should be happening. Other people were being blocked in and unable to walk to the beach access because these children were kicking this ball around and it was hitting multiple people. Everybody looked extremely irritated. The parents did not try to stop the kids from doing so and ended up hitting a woman in the head with the ball. After that, we tried to make it a place that we want to stay, but we ended up going to the front desk explaining how we felt and decided it was best we pack our stuff up and leave. We spent a total of maybe 3 hours at the resort. We found another resort down the road that was able to take us in such short notice. We still lost part of our deposit which sucked, even what they took wasnt worth the time we spent there. We understand that other people are staying there and we don't usually mind children if they're respectful and not acting like animals. But what was most aggravating was that the staff did nothing and also the parents. It put a huge dent into our evening. Will never go back.
