A quaint store with good lighting and friendly staff, this thrift shop isn't big but does curate a nice little collection - I saw cute tops, dresses, scarves, handbags, and jewelry. Everything was tidy and in its right place. I'm not sure if there's a dressing room since I didn't use one, but there are plenty of mirrors around the store that you can use. Bonus: all proceeds go towards their affiliated animal rescue! I picked up a patterned skirt and T-shirt here for less than $20, and my friend got a few items as well. Checking out was easy breezy, and they let us know that they're able to take most donations (though if you have anything large, best to call in ahead of time). All in all, not much more I can ask for a pleasant thrifting experience.

This visit it was three camisoles that I can wear under things or on their own, practical and fun at the same time as it takes me back in time. Marty has such a wonderful eye for unique pieces, and every visit feels like a little treasure hunt. It's one of those special Alameda shops that just keeps me happy that I hope doesn't go away!

Daiso, Alameda (South Shore Center)…read more I've been here many times, the staff are awesome and friendly. This Daiso location has a lot of stuff but it's very small, it's a very tight squeeze when you're trying to walk past people. The prices for their items has gone up over the years. Like all Daiso locations, there's no return or exchange. All sales are final. Highly recommend to buy school supplies and some Sanrio, Hello Kitty stuff.

If you haven't, it's a store with lots of cute discount items from Asia. There are games, toys, plushies, cute stationary, and lots of snacks. There's also household items that are attractive, but I question their durability. There are lots of gadgets that are sometimes hard to resist. This location is very convenient, near lots of food places and stores. There's plenty of parking, and the area is nice. They have self-checkout, as well as someone at the register. It's a nice place to browse and maybe walk out with a new gadget you didn't know you needed.

There were 15 stops within downtown Alameda surrounding Park Street to stop and try Tequila and Mezcal. Each stop, most of them were table set outside offered food to go with the tasting of alcohol. Of all the stops I was able to visit there were a few that stood out! At Tomatina the meatball was good. Daisy's had my favorite Tequila of night, Moxies offered a slice of tender beef covered with mole , La Penca Azul offered chicken flautas, La Lena offered chicken or corn tostados and Dragon Rouge offered potstickers and noodles. Everything we ate was good and I enjoyed getting to try many types of tequilas and mezcals, I'd never had. I'd definitely go again for a fun and festive outing!

I only came by because I was looking for a Sally store, I happened to be driving back from somewhere else and had to do a detour. They have a lot of stores such as Michaels, Target, Safeway, Sally, and some others. The food is Jolliebees, when is new, and Koja Kitchen, a major disappointment - read my review. I walked around to get some steps in and was glad to see it. I usually go to Southshore and I think that place has more to offer than this one. But it's not bad, and if in the area. I could come here. But it wouldn't be a destination. It doesn't have a beach behind it like South Shore Center does and it also isn't near street, Park St, which has an amazing food scene. So that's also a consideration. But, it's not bad, and as I said, if in the area, I may swing by.

There's also a variety of trendy chain restaurants and eateries. I recently tried the brand new Jollibee, and afterwards I enjoyed frozen yogurt at Yogurtland across the street. Early development of Alameda Landing began in 2008. What used to be here? The land Alameda Landing sits on used to be a US Navy Supply Depot. Alameda Point used to be an active duty Naval Air Station, which closed in the 1990's. Old time Alameda residents might remember a drive-in movie place too. Alameda Landing draws people from all over Alameda and the surrounding communities. Everyday I see a line at the In-And-Out Burger wrapped around the block.
