However, once we went to my basement to look at the pipes, he sat on my workout bench and started using my weights without asking. Later, he sat on my sofa upstairs, again without permission. I let it go at the moment because the conversation was going well. I also mentioned a bad experience my mother had with a previous contractor and simply asked if his work came with any type of guarantee. He took it the wrong way and became defensive. Later, his secretary called me about a payment plan, which I explained I would consider once I had the money ready. The next day, she called back saying the plumber decided not to do the work -- and shortly after, he texted me saying: "WHY WOULD YOU CALL A PLUMBER AND YOU HAVE NO MONEY WASTE OF TIMES." That message alone shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect. When I called the company to report it, the secretary defended his behavior instead of apologizing. I do not recommend this company at all. Experience means nothing without professionalism, manners, and respect for clients.

I just wanted to remind you also, that Rick is always on denial when taking the complains. His work was very bad and caused additional leaks. Thus I needed to call another plumber to fix. be careful when dealing with this guy. don't hesitate to call the police when he harasses you, especially related to the payment. he is known to jack up the price for no reasons.

The home…read moreinspector didn't do drain scopes, so it was the worst surprise you can get in a house you just moved into. I looked into a quote for the problem. Without even scoping the drain or looking for a cleanout to potentially mitigate, the plumber quoted me just shy of $11,000 to replace the entire line. I'm not a plumber, but I'm not an idiot either. I don't panic, and I don't believe people who prey on your panic. TJ from Drainvisions came out, partially cleaned my line and made plans to come back out after I could secure a better access point (old house with weird plumbing). Came back out, gave it hell, but still couldn't get cleared. He was unhappier than me about it. Came back out again same day after we were able to locate a curbside cleanout for proper access to the line. I was his first appointment that day, so I knew exactly how long his day was, and totally would've been amenable to the next day instead, but he was determined. Together with his coworker, after a 12+ hour day, they came back at almost 9 pm and got it done, pulling out a clog that I've never seen the likes of: 3.5 feet of root and hair ( property was previously a small salon). He saved me thousands of dollars. I couldn't be happier with the level of service, honesty and dedication. I'll have them back periodically to check up on the line, and will actively recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thanks so much, guys!

I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with Plumbing Pals that I want to share so others…read moredon't go through the same. I called them about a kitchen sink issue where water was draining slowly, and pipe is leaked or cracked under the sink. I clearly mentioned both issues during the call. They told me there would be a $78 diagnostic/service fee, which would be credited toward the final repair cost if I chose to go ahead with the work. That seemed fair, so I agreed. The technician who came out did not do any repair work. He looked at the issue and told me he only handles drain cleaning, not pipe replacement and that a different plumber would need to come for that. He also said if he attempted to unclog the drain, it would worsen the leak and the sink still couldn't be used. After he left, my card was charged $78. Shortly after, I received a quote of $475 to unclog and replace the P-trap (drain pipe). Even though it seemed high, I approved it. I also downloaded a $50 coupon from their website, as they suggested. Once the work was completed by a plumber the next day, I asked to confirm that the $78 would be credited toward the $475, along with the coupon. He said only the coupon would apply, and the $78 would not be refunded or included, even though that fee was supposed to cover diagnostics, and this job was a direct result of it. I called Plumbing Pals for clarification, and they sent me a recording of my initial call as "proof" that I only requested drain cleaning. Ironically, that very recording clearly shows I said there was a leak or crack in the pipe that might need replacement, which confirms I was upfront from the beginning. It's obvious they either didn't listen or chose to ignore what I said. When I tried to escalate the matter, I was connected with a supervisor named April, who was extremely rude and dismissive. She insisted that the $78 would not be refunded or credited and told me if I wasn't happy, I "didn't need to do business with them again." As a customer, I'm not a plumber, I rely on professionals to diagnose the issue (which is why they charge the service fee in the first place), communicate honestly, and apply the service fee toward the repair as advertised. This company failed on all fronts. In short, this was a misleading, overpriced, and unprofessional experience. I regret using Plumbing Pals and strongly suggest others look elsewhere for honest and respectful plumbing service.
