Operating the excavator in a very tight place with no damage to anything.

Mauricio handled my large residential foundation replacement and huge basement dig-out. It was a complicated four month project: we were living in the house at the time, and the entire house, which had to go up on cribbing for an extended period, couldn't be moved at all during the work. We couldn't have been happier to Mauricio do this job. Looking back, I am glad we didn't go with any of the other three contractors we looked at; Mauricio and his crew were clearly the best around. They were on time, on budget, professional, clean, detail-oriented, diligent, and polite. Mauricio was there every single day both managing his crew and working with them. Because I work from home, I got to see (and document) the progress every single day. Here is what I observed. On-time: This project was under a very tight deadline. Maruicio made sure it happened. His crew was there every day, and many Saturdays, right at starting time (for us, it was 8 am), but Maruicio almost always arrived much earlier. Quality: The quality of the work was, without a doubt, the best. As one example, I am including a detail shot of the complex rebar work. As another example, Mauricio leveled the house. He spent many hours with his crew adjusting the cribs with jacks, sometimes by hand, and then checking with levels both inside and outside of the house, until it was just right. It was as I had hoped for, but more difficult than I had imagined. Attention to detail: The degree of detail that went into building the forms, the rebar and the pouring and smoothing of the cement was far higher Follow-through: Mauricio followed threw. He made sure inspectors showed up on time by scheduling days early, but calling in to make sure they would not miss a date. This was critical to preventing hold-ups. When Mauricio said he would deal with something, he did. If I had a request, he committed to it. I never had to think about it again. It got done. Responsiveness: There was a week when surprise storms hit. I became concerned with possible damage to the house. I called Mauricio on a Saturday morning, early. He was out there in 30 minutes and worked for three hours in pouring rain to address issues before they became problems. Who else would have done that? Pace: The pace at which Mauricio drove that bulldozer and dug out that dirt (550 cubic yards of it) with the excavator was impressive. He and his crew are highly skilled in all aspects of building, but manuevering that bullozer into, around and back outside of the house was only bested by how well his crew put together a very complex rebar puzzle that amazed even the most ardent city inspector. Committment: No corners were cut to increase profit. In fact, Mauricio always put the project, bidat a fixed price, first even when it meant reducing margins. At one point, we had a week of unexpected and heavy rains. This led to the clay turning to slurry in areas. Mauricio came (on a Saturday) to do extra shoring so as not to risk any damage to house, just as a precautionary measure. As the rain oontinued, he had his crew add expensive re-enforcement that may not have been necessary, but he chose to not cut any corners and take any chances. Additionally, even though he had to pay his crew overtime, he had them there working on Saturdays to try get the work done prior to and during the rains. I had four bids. I chose not to go with the cheapest, and not with the most well-known, but I didn't go with the most expensive. However, I clearly got lucky and made the best choice. Mauricio performed, giving me the best results that anyone could have delivered, on time, and on-budget.

A structural engineer referred me to Sure Safe Foundation Systems over 12 years ago, and I've been referring them out ever since. What makes them stand out is their patented system. It repairs and replaces foundations for significantly less than what traditional contractors charge. That alone is huge for sellers trying to close without blowing their net proceeds or without the potential buyer canceling. We have been able to prevent home sales from falling apart because a traditional foundation report came in at 75k-100k. We immediately got Suresafe in, and they were able to complete the work for a quarter of the price, all because of their system. But honestly, besides that, it's the people. Family-owned, and it shows. From the office staff to the crew in the field, everyone is professional, patient, and easy to work with. My clients always come back and say how much they liked them. If you own a home in San Diego and need foundation work, call Suresafe first. They are really awesome.

Michele, one of the owners, was able to get me into the schedule for a free estimate the following week. Tom, the other owner, came the following week to inspect the foundation and look over the structural engineer assessment. Tom was very nice and personable. After a few days, Michele was able to get me a quote and get me in the books for November. I asked her to put me on the cancellation list. Usually companies don't really move us ahead, but Michele was very quick about the appointment books. She first moved me up a week and then she asked me if they could start work the first week of October. Jason, his foreman, and his crew were very quick and knew what they were doing. They got the job done in 2 days for a 1180sq foot house. I want to personally thank Michele for being amazing. She replies very quickly to you even though she's super busy with all the admin work. I asked for a receipt and she got it to me asap. Tom and Jason, who are the other owners, were very friendly and will answer all your questions. Their foreman was very nice too. He was the first one at the house and the last one to leave. He explained to me what was going on. They have competitive pricing. I chose them over the other contractors because they know what they're doing and they will make sure to complete the job by the deadline. Thank you again Michele!

Our foundation had a crack that needed to have substance put in it and a couple of braces. He gave us a highly competitive quote (we interviewed three companies) and was professional and knowledgeable about our foundation, explaining the procedures for repairs in detail. We had an emergency sewer problem almost immediately after his visit and Michele at the office was very understanding about our timeline when we needed to address the other issue first. Michele was always available to answer our questions and was so kind to offer an understanding ear during our sewer repair emergency. Happily the day of our work was even moved up a few weeks before scheduled which we appreciated due to the holiday. Dustin, Hirhm, and Lance - our foundation team, arrived early the day of work and were friendly and professional as they worked quickly and effectively on the only day projecting afternoon rain for months. The team worked tirelessly under our house for over six hours and explained work to us if we had questions. They cleaned up everything very well and even bussed out the two extra pieces from our foundation that had crumbled off. At the end, Dustin took some amazing pictures for us and kept the team working hard with his sunny personality and can do spirit. We have recommended San Diego Footing Repair to our family and friends in need of such services and feel very grateful for their expert work.

Here's someone you can trust and highly recommended through others that essentially support each other because in foundation work and engineering... they go hand in hand. You can feel confident here, Jake was a recommendation through a Civil Engineer that was another well known good recommendation to us. ( you see where this is going?) Ha! Jake is licensed and bonded current, he also runs a very good team, his workers are hard working guys, respectful and you can tell that Jake (owner) is a good business Man. He himself is very down to earth, honest and he'll tell you honest everything you want to know and by us asking a ton of questions, he'll start feeling like family because just how the conversations flow and how comfortable you feel. He takes his time, making sure that what his findings also match up with the civil engineer findings. *****please note**** we hired a civil engineer beforehand to check our foundation.....its worth the report and they essentially write the recipe and guys like Jake bake the cake. Its important you need both if you want to feel confident in your choices for your home, because that's what we did. Jake is a rare and gem find, he'll tell you what you need, and is extremely knowledgeable. Not his first rodeo. The work guys are extremely well knowledgeable and are experienced in what they do. This is a solid foundation company (get it?) To trust to get an honest quote, opinion and work. So if you need that community know someone.... here's your guy! Jake! We're so happy with the work, and no more trampoline effects in the house and our doors now open n close with ease. We're sad to see you guys move on, it was an honor to work with you guys. Best wishes and good vibes always! Happy yelpers, and piece of Best vibes to send out... always offer hydration and a good lunch to those amazing workers that work hard! Cheers!!

I recently went down the canyon to do some gardening and noticed the lower hillside right below our property line was giving way. I thought to myself this nightmare was starting again. So I started reviewing my options and came across the name Azar builders. I was extremely impressed with his reviews so I made an appointment with Pete to come out to discuss the situation. Well the five star reviews were right on the money. Not only was Pete extremely knowledgeable, he put my mind at ease that everything was going to be okay. He should be called the "hillside therapist". He came up with an affordable solution and did not try to upsell me during the process. He methodically went through the whole process with me and boy did I have a ton of questions for him. He assured me he would rectify the situation. He fit me into his busy schedule and I got to know his crew very well. I would go down the canyon on a daily basis and his crew worked like clock work. Pete would instruct them on what to do but it was like they already knew exactly what they were doing. They worked to together so well and completed the job in about a week. I could not be happier with the work that Pete and his crew did at our residence. I am a retired 35 year Law enforcement officer who is usually very skeptical of contractors and their practices but Pete is the cream of the crop. He is a no BS type of guy who does what he says and backs up his work. I would highly recommend him and his fine company and crew.
