What a beautiful find in Billings. While husband met with some guys to play frisbee golf (lots of beautiful, green, wide open space for it!) I went to one of the multiple play structures with the kids. Clean playground and grounds, bathrooms on site, walking path that surrounds the perimeter. Lots of picnic tables with sun or shade options to study alone or meet with a friend. Great park- thank you Billings!

Green space to run and play!

This park is pretty close to the airport, so you can also do some plane-spotting as you please…read more There's quite a few smaller personal aircraft here, so it's great to watch! Now onto the park itself. There's a parking lot with a few picnic tables, and a trail that seems to go out into the horizon. There's nothing stopping you from getting close to the edge of the rim rocks either, so you can peek over the edge if you dare. There are amazing views of the city, especially pretty in the sunrise.

At nearly the half-way point on a trail between Zimmerman Park and both Two Moon and Coulson Park,…read moreSwords Rimrock Park brings you onto the Chief Blackwater Trail in a spectacular fashion. They call it a Park, and I suppose with a couple of picnic tables in the shelter and the "necessary" building, it is a park, but not one that encourages long-term lounging. There's something about this spot that makes you want to walk, or run, or meander. Here, on top of the rimrocks, either direction, there's an impressive view of the City continuing all the way over to the Beartooth Mountains. It's a park that's also the trailhead for further exploration. Along the route there is an occasional bench upon which to sit and look at the sunset, or the sunrise, or the clouds moving over the mountains. The path is wide enough to accommodate walkers, joggers, and bikers in both directions. It's ADA accessible. But, come back to the Park to take a break, or have that picnic, or just stand around and chat with friends. You can't lose with the view.
