They have everything you can imagine you might need and John will guide you to get the right tools. The paint is a great quality and he can mix any color you want. Save yourself the headache from going to the big hardware stores where you find out you need to wait in an endless line for the 1 paint "specialist" available or you find out that 1 person is on their lunch break, when you finally had the moment to get to the store for your project. I'd like to send a shout out to the Pioneer Paint Store at Easton. If you are an active person constantly visiting the paint store, this one wont disappoint . Two days ago, I left my local Home Depot annoyed at the complete lack of customer service: I had been at the countertop of the paint department for what it seemed an eternity in the hopes of ordering some paint. Two young attendants were busy, working there fully aware of my presence but never made eye contact or any attempt to acknowledge me; now I know that these are difficult times and many stores are short handed, I am not a difficult person. A simple " I'll be right with you" would be enough; I got so annoyed at being ignored that I quit the rest of my shopping and left at once. Today, after a professional painter recommended me this store, I visited the Pionner Paint Company; I had been looking for a top coat for my furniture project and this was the only place I could possibly find it locally. I was immediately greeted by Kenny who after helping another customer came to meet me and directed me to my product. After learning about my project, he showed me my different options, provided advice about how to apply the product, and he even threw in some sponges and brushes for free!!! Now, I can not vouch for the quality of paint they sell yet, (although they sell some signature brands) , but rest assured, from now on, I am supporting this little store and I am not going back to Home Depot or Lowes for the next projects any time soon. read more

I was asking coworkers "word of mouth" on what paint stores they thought were reliable. Most of them where pointing me in the direction of other paint stores with half a heart. Then there were few people who told me whole heartedly and without a doubt in there mind. You should try Pioneer Paint. I went and the staff was great! They are knowledgeable, kind, and preemptive to situations that one might come by. The quality of paint is no joke for a good price. I am not a painter but I had an iron security screen door fabricated and needed some oil-based paint to paint it with. The big box stores have a very slim selection of the oil-based stuff. Took a paint swatch to Pioneer (first time every stepping foot in here) and was greeted by a friendly clerk who was able to match the swatch and mix the proper color combination. This is all a given and expected...what caused me to give them 5 stars is what followed. I took the paint to the company who made the screen door. They sent me a photo of how the screen came out and it looked incredibly yellow and not like the olive color I wanted. I went back to Pioneer and showed the owner the photo. He figured that they might have made an error with the paint mix so he made me a new batch himself for free. I also mentioned that the company who made the security door was going to charge me $40 to re-paint the screen and asked if they would be able to cover that since it was an error on their part. He said yes, pulled out his wallet, and whipped out two $20 bills for me. He did this without hesitation, which truly spoke volumes for his character and good business practices. It actually turned out that the original paint batch WAS correct and the photo the iron company sent me wasn't very accurate of the finished product. So in the end, there was no error by Pioneer Paint and I plan on returning the owner's $40 this week. THEY CAN NOT COLOR MATCH AT ALL AND I WAS TOLD TO GET THE F*** OUT HIS STORE WHEN I MENTIONED THE COLOR DID NOT MATCH.. So I purchased two 5 gallon buckets of white paint from Walmart and took samples home to decide on color. When I returned to Walmart to have it tinted they said i would of had it tinted day of purchase and they won't tint it.. So I called around and the owner of Pioneer Paint told me they would tint it for me. I went in and they did a great job and I was happy with it. I was short a little on the front of my house and asked the owner if his paint would match or should I get same type of paint from Walmart and have you tinted so it would blend with previous paint I got so I can finish front of house. He said paints are all different and I need to use same paint. So I went to Walmart and spend $86 on paint and took it back and I said this is the last One i need tinted to match front of house and then I will switch to your better quality paint.. He mixed it and it came out way darker.He then told me your going to have to add white paint to lighten it up and he made me feel super uncomfortable that I used my debit card by asking if I had cash because he was going to have to pay credit card fees on the little amount I was charging . I left irritated because I knew if I did it that it wouldn't match perfectly like I needed it to so paint blended with what I already painted on front of house. So I went back and had intentions of purchasing white paint and having them fix it but the owner got defensive that he tinted my paint wrong and said, "This is why we don't tint other places paint and to GET THE F*** OUT OF MY STORE." I was so taken back that a business owner or any person would talk to another person like that especially when he is the one who told me they would tint other stores paint in the beginning... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL.... read more

Love this place! Eighteen years ago Pioneer Paint painted by newly built home. They left cans of paint for "touch-up". With my family, we needed it! I have returned from time to time to get refills and it ALWAYS matches. A few years ago, the clerk said he'd put in a little yellow because of aging. Sure enough, it matched perfectly!!! I returned for my "spring touch up can" this year and it matched beautifully! Consistent, competent, a step ahead of me and super friendly! Couldn't ask for more! read more

It had been a long time since I used Pioneer Paint and had forgotten what terrific service and accuracy in which they blend paint.
