I visited Dr…read more Dukes in August of 2021 for back pain from a prior accident, seeking x rays and a diagnosis. Initially, Dr. Dukes was very friendly and we started to go over my prior medical history before we went over the x ray results. She asked me a question regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, which I have not received. When Dr. Dukes became aware of me being unvaccinated, she got up, opened the door, and stood in the hallway. Her friendly personality did a 180 and she began to bash me, saying "You're the reason why so many people are dying", "its all because of people like you", "I will not sign you up for in person therapy since you are unvaccinated" and much more. Keep in mind that we were both wearing n95 masks the entire time. After arguing through the doorway for a few minutes, she closed the door and sent in an assistant to reschedule the meeting via Zoom. I declined and made my out of the office. This was, by far, the least professional interaction I've had with anyone in my life. Would never recommend anyone to Dr. Heather Dukes or her office.

I explained this to the lady at the desk, but she didn't care, and without even looking at me, said, "Well, you're 10 minutes late and you've been taken out of the system for today. I used to be very pleased with the care I received from MMG. Not so any longer…read more After being forced to undergo PT prior to ordering an MRI, it was discovered that I have a torn rotator cuff. I found a COMPETENT physician, who immediately found it and referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. The PT forced upon me by MMG only exacerbated my condition. If this had been the only issue I had with MMG, I might have given them a second chance. However, my wife went through a similar chronic pain issue, and instead of continuing to test to find the cause, she was told to "go see a chiropractor." We were also lied to on a few separate instances, and decided to find a good doctor instead of any of the MMG providers. And so glad we did!

All my specialists are in Bloomington or Martinsville or Mooresville but this person doesn't even believe in Chronic Traumatic Enphalitis Seizure Disorder which are monitored electronically. She called my neurologist incompetent! He's lovely and intelligent and very well respected!

Because of the physician who insisted on doing his own insurance filing and billing, there were always errors. The first thing he asked at each appt was about the billing and insurance, discussing what we had paid or the insurance had paid. Worse, although I saw him monthly, he never remembered me from one appt to the next, nor anything about me. He did not allow staff to record physician's notes on the visit. He mixed up medications that were written, each time asking what conditions we were treated for and the treatment. The time spent on his record keeping seemed to drive his practice. He would rarely examine me. We both had to relocate so were very lucky to find appropriate physicians. Perhaps it was just me but I thought the way he conducted his office and treatment was not beneficial to my health. Nice man, but odd. I had also gone on a well known website and checked for any recommendations or commentary by other patients. There was only one reviewer. He was rated as an excellent physician by them. Maybe things were very different for them.
