Before anything else, please note that bookings are usually by referral. This is probably because the owner wants to ensure that the equipment isn't being abused by irresponsible musicians. The pay-off is that the equipment here is decent and pretty well taken care of. They have two fully stocked rooms with guitar (Marshal) and bass amplifiers (Gallien Krueger).
Penguin also takes care of its musicians by having water conveniently available. That's especially noteworthy because some jams take hours, and water breaks are pretty inconvenient if you have to cut on studio time just to venture outside to find it.
There isn't much of a waiting area--the place is pretty small--but then again, this is a place for musicians at work, not a tambayan.
