She dropped a drill in my mouth and then hid the evidence by deleting the X-rays taken after when I went to see another dentist. Horrific.

The WORST! Go here if you want to be disrespected and jerked around. They wanted documentation of a…read moremedical issue from 15 years ago, which I could not provide. Two days prior to my appointment they told me to get authorization "from a doctor so that they can prescribe antibiotics". In desperation I called my primary care physician, who told me Crestal can prescribe antibiotics. I called Crestal back the next day, told them what the doctor said, and hey presto! All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. And they were polite, and scheduled me an appointment after school hours. SKIP CRESTAL, go somewhere else unless you like being disrespected and jerked around.

This was the worst experience of any medical care I have ever received!h I had a gum graft. Dr…read more Steifel cut such a huge hole in my pallet that the pain was unbearable. I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.

This oral surgeon has a very poor bedside manner and expressed a lack of concern for improving my…read morehealth as a patient. During my consultation for a wisdom tooth extraction, I felt as though the surgeon was not concerned about my welfare and disgusted with my insistence on requesting more information regarding risks associated with the surgery. He handed me a pamphlet which explained the procedure and then asked me to sign a consent form which indicated that I had been appropriately warned of the significant risks related to the surgery. He had provided no such information to me, except in writing on the form I was being rushed into signing. When I began reading the form's 10 some bullet points (which included permanent nerve damage, jaw fracture, sinus damage, etc) he seemed highly irritated. Whenever I posed a question regarding risk percentages, he just barked numbers at me. I find it a shame, for instance, that he felt it unimportant to voluntarily mention that the surgical procedure involved a 1/50 chance of permanent loss of sensation in my lip and lower face due to nerve damage that could result. After each question, instead of providing an answer, he first reiterated, "you can take the form home to read it over" to which I replied "how am I supposed to have questions answered if I read it at home?" Upon follow up, he would shoot out numbers for the likelihood of complications. To be honest, I felt more like asking why he was being such an incredible jerk. The entire consultation lasted less than 5 minutes. In sum, I have never in my life encountered someone who was so demonstrably annoyed with providing me a service, let alone someone in the medical profession. I would never trust Dr. Albanese or any doctor like him to perform any medical procedure.

Will NEVER return to this dentist. STAY AWAY…read more Was trying to find a dentist in the area over the summer and since this place had a shiny website and won the second place in the Advocate's Best Of (how, I have no idea), I decided to give it a shot. Well, the place looks lovely inside, more like you're entering a meditation studio than a dentist's office, and the staff were friendly, but I was completely shocked by their assessment of my teeth. After never having a cavity in my life, I was told that I had over a dozen cavities and would need some cosmetic work on my bite so that my teeth wouldn't grind against each other when I chewed. Now, I know my teeth aren't perfect; I've never had braces, but seriously? Cosmetic work? When they asked me what my 'goals' were for my teeth (umm, what? I'm at a dentist--clean teeth, duh!), I said I wanted a cavity-free mouth. Not that I wanted whiter, straighter, perfectly aligned, ideal-for-toothpaste-commercials teeth. Ugh. So, utterly panicked, I made an appointment to have the FIRST ROUND of these heinous corrections made. Lacking insurance, this was going to cost over a thousand dollars and they were only tackling one of four areas this time. As you may have guessed, I was utterly tickled by this. Now, upon leaving there, I got a call on my way home asking if I wanted to move my appointment up to the following week (about a month earlier than scheduled). I agreed, but it felt weird. Maybe they legitimately had a cancellation 10 minutes after I left, but it felt WRONG. I called my childhood dentist, got the (crappy) xrays & treatment plan sent to her, cancelled my next week appointment and heard, to my great relief, that this place was full of beans. Eventually I made a trip back home, visited my childhood dentist and was told that pretty much every single thing Strong & Healthy Smiles deemed a cavity was a deep pit with some staining in it. As in, NO CAVITIES. Thank you, Dr. Smith, you are a lifesaver. Anyway, I would never ever recommend these folks to anyone. Either they don't know what the heck they're doing or they're deliberately trying to scam people. Bad news. For a REAL dentist who knows how to treat people & their teeth, try the Valley Dentists.

Why are all the bad reviews of this doctor filtered? People need to know that Sue Keller is a con…read moreartist! The first thing she does is insist upon creating a long range plan for your teeth. Not a bad idea if the practitioner is honorable. Unfortunately, Sue Keller is not! I literally spent thousands of dollars at her practice. The last time I went in I was told that I must have XRays even though I had had them only two months before. When I refused, the hygienist insisted that I would need them the next time (only three months later.) Then she proceeded to tell me how I had bone loss and that the only solution was a very painful, expensive and time consuming procedure of scaling and root planing. I was skeptical. When the doctor came in, she insisted that I needed the scaling and in addition, two more caps put on (she had done two or three already.) This was upsetting news to say the least. When I got home, I received an email from her office asking me to fill out a survey about my experience. I was brutally honest and wrote that I felt bullied into the Xrays and was concerned that they were using scare tactics to get me to do more procedures than were necessary. A few days later, I received a letter from Sue Keller basically firing me, saying that I was not compatible with her office and philosophy. It took me about a year to see a new dentist and when I did, she told me that I had no bone loss, that my teeth and bones looked great and that I should keep doing what I was doing. I thought it important to write a review warning others of her alarmist instincts resulting in painful, expensive and unnecessary procedures. What was the most upsetting was to see that the vast majority of reviews recounted the exact same story as mine. Sue Keller is in it for the money. Don't let the beautiful office and saccharine smiles deceive you. Walk in that office and it's a huge money pit! And I'll ask again, why are the vast majority of reviews (all negative) filtered and only one (the sole positive one) not filtered???
