Pino brings Napoli to Leiden in his eclectic trattoria. Upon entering, you can count on a 'buona sera' from the owner, who's as Italian as can be. The shop sells a variety of Italian products, ranging from typical breads to all sorts of pasta and olive products, wines and, when Christmas is approaching, more panettone than you can eat.
Most people, however, visit Pino for their pizzas. The menu includes your typical margherita and quattro stagioni, but also features several creative pizzas. (Our favorite is the Bianca Number 7.) They're slightly on the pricy side, which is barely justified by their above-average quality. The only other dish we tried is their take on tiramisu, which is probably not what you're used to, but definitely a great dessert if the pizza hasn't filled you up completely. All in all, Pino's our favorite Leiden take-out, which serves solid pizzas and scores style points for its authenticity; give it a try sometime! read more
