They overcharged me more than $200 when they continued charging me an already outrageous monthly fee after I cancelled the membership. I called the General Manager to cancel when I left the country and joined LA Fitness in Naples, Florida. I called the GM to cancel the Goodlife Fitness membership I had just put on hold a week or so before. The General Manager subsequently moved to Florida and must not have cancelled it. They continued charging me after I had left the country. Despite providing evidence of the new membership at LA Fitness which started just after I put the Goodlife member ship on hold, they will not do a thing to reimburse me all the extra charges they levied. They won't even contact their old General Manager who knows I cancelled it. This is incompetence and/or fraud.

They also run an afterschool program where they pick your kid up from school and bring them there for some homework help and a Taekwondo class. Today we had our sons 4th Birthday party there and they do an amazing job. They pretty much do it all for you. We brought a cake and a few nibbles for the parents. William was amazing with the kids. There is a large window/glass door broken in the pool area that has been boarded up. The place is a disgrace, I am in the process of cancelling my membership, I will not be returning again!

But then I saw the systems in place to teach not only karate but the whole person. Each class I started to "get it" more and more. The classes are fast paced and coordinated. This keeps the little ones interested. The belt system and leadership by younger students was new to me.....and It is excellent. Through the summary of the class, I knew there would be practice sessions. But you were never pressured to participate in them if you were not comfortable. There is something that raises the bar when you are practicing what you are being taught. The shock, your reaction; they can not be predicted. So going full out on the movements elevated the learning. It takes the mystery out of the "what if's" The instructors were fully knowledgeable, and did not "fake" any of the moves. You truly received actual training. I highly recommend this training to EVERYONE. It should be mandatory training in the school curriculum.
