I was told to come here after struggling with fertility for about 10 months after a miscarriage. Before I made the appointment, I confirmed with their billing department that this was going to be a covered benefit under my insurance. They told me that I was in network and that they would look into it. I called back, and they assured me that it was a covered benefit. About a week before my appointment I touched base with the billing department again just to make sure that this is going to be a covered benefit and they told me that it would be a covered benefit. I assumed this meant they had touched base with my insurance. About a month after going to the appointment I got a bill for over $1,000.00, stating that this was not a covered benefit under my insurance plan, even though I tried to confirm that with them twice before my appointment and was told it would be. They informed me that normally it is a covered benefit through my insurance company but for whatever reason my plan did not cover it. I was also charge for tests that I specifically asked not to have done which I will be credited for but they don't even make a dent in the bill that I'm now stuck with. Had I known this was not covered, I would not have come to this office. I suppose I should've called my insurance company and confirmed that this is going to be a covered benefit myself but I thought it would be just as efficient to ask the office if what they were specifically billing for was going to be covered. If you were going to be a patient here, I would definitely do that leg work on your own and not trust their word on it being covered.
Despite this, the staff is all very kind. read more
