I'm an experienced egg donor and have used Dr. Robins as my monitoring clinic 2x…read more Here is my experience: He's been in my vagina at least 10x and has not once ever said hello to me or introduced himself. I waited once with my pants and underwear off sitting with a piece of paper over my lap to see if I would get any direction on what to do, these are the words he chose to say to me, "I go the same place every time." Motioning for me to put my legs in the stirrups. He then instead of asking for me to spread my legs further, knocked my right leg open with force from his elbow. Not to mention when he uses the transvaginal ultrasound that he pushes very hard and doesn't give a rats ass about how that feels for YOU in YOUR body. I've been to many many fertility clinics in many different states and in Seattle as well and this man is AWFUL. I can not believe he is still in practice with the way he treats people. I mentioned this to the front desk and they basically said that because I am not HIS paying customer I am SOL on bedside manners and would have to endure the abuse. Are you kidding me?! After my last donation I was in so much pain and had developed cysts on my ovaries but even though he could have told me that, I had to go to 3 other doctors in Spokane to give me the answer. I spoke with those doctors about Dr. Robins and they told me to steer clear of him. I feel validated that other medical experts agree to avoid this piece of garbage person. I don't care if you are one of the only fertility doctors in Spokane, you don't deserve to treat anyone the way you treated me. GO TO SPOKANE REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE INSTEAD.

We found Pinnacle Fertility after 5 unsuccessful rounds of IUI and one successful round of IUI that…read moreended in a missed miscarriage. We were heartbroken and feeling defeated especially after they gave us a large list of things we needed to complete to begin the IVF process. However, Dr. Houmard and the wonderful nursing staff gave us hope that we could be successful. Their messaging service was great and connected us to nurses/financial specialists/the billing department in an incredibly simple way. They got back to us and worked hard to answer all of our questions as quickly as possible. We also consistently talked to the same nurse so she got to know us and our story which helped us feel seen while so many other medical offices did not. We really appreciated how Dr. Houmard and her team balanced the clinical information and statistics with a genuine sense of hope. We heard some hard truths and based on percentages, decided to use my (slightly younger) wife's eggs to create our embryos. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and incredibly hopeful that this little baby will make it into our world. When we began the idea of reciprocal IVF felt like an unattainable dream but thanks to Pinnacle, that dream is coming true.

That's when my wife finally made an appointment looking to get help. For $50 she was sat down immediately told that she's fine before any testing of any kind. Told that she has normal cycles and that I (the man) should get tested. She was spoken too in a condescending way and the gal she met with talked to her as if she was a child. Explaining how periods worked, how ovulation worked etc. mind you we're both 27 years old we know this. Well we ended up getting pregnant again one month later. We have now lost that one too. The place we went to do our first scan noticed abnormalities for how far along we should have been and immediately recommended blood testing. Turns out my wife has hypothyroidism. You directly cost us this mental anguish for the second time thank you for that. I hope you seriously reconsider your standard of care or no one else goes to you in desperation as they will not be served well.

Okay, again with the scraping-and-fisting jokes…read more Now that the awkward bits are out of the way, I'd like to address some serious concerns. This practice seems to have ten times as many clients as they can handle. I'm always seen promptly, however, the doctor has no recollection of who I am when he walks in. I can finally write this review with a clear head now that some of the dust has settled. I had a series of ovarian cysts over the summer, presumably as a result of switching to a mirena IUD. (overshare, girlfriends!) After 6 pelvic exams in as many weeks and FIVE ultrasounds, it was beginning to feel a little.. well... I dunno, rapey? I like science. As a matter of fact, I love science. I just don't want to have SEX with science, get it? I was nearly in tears as the doctor told me that after a "rough" exam (trust me, Dr. Bermeo, I NOTICED) he didn't think there was anything truly wrong and that I was being dramatic. Oh, really? Because having a belly so distended that I can't wear jeans doesn't feel dramatic. Neither does YOUR advice to sustain pelvic rest for SIX WEEKS because I'm at risk of ovarian tortion (when your ovary flips over because of the weight of the cysts and it requires major abdominal surgery, resulting in the loss of fertility.) After telling me I'm being dramatic, he tells me that he'd like to schedule surgery for a double oophorectomy. Do you know what that is? No? I didn't either, so I asked for more information. Turns out, while I am being a total drama-queen, he is still suggesting that I undergo major abdominal surgery to remove my ovaries. But I'm overreacting. After all this, he's telling me he's going to put me back on the pill after all is said and done. Why bother? I won't have any ovaries! I made an appointment with a respected naturopath and was able to get in on a cancelation .. At this appointment, I learned how diet affects our body's ability to regulate things - LIKE HORMONES THAT CAUSE CYSTS. She suggested that I give up hormone-laden things like dairy and omit gluten and see where I was in a couple weeks... I've now been following my naturopath's advice for over a year with ZERO cyst activity .. and I still have my ovaries. Moreover, I've found a well-respected NEW gynecologist who doesn't patronize, belittle me or trivialize my situation. When she's got her hands inside me (or outside, for that matter) she is kind, thoughtful and expresses genuine concern for my wellbeing. She definitely strikes me as busy, but she never imposes her busyness on me as impatience or inconvenience. A patient should never feel like a burden on a doctor; it is because of this, as well as everything from above, that I feel that Dr. Bermeo and the whole Rockwood system can suck it.
