So we went to open a business account in Braselton Ga. there were only two tellers available and…read moreone was helping a couple open a bank account; no problem. We figure we would wait. The teller that became available ask us what she can do for us. We explained we interested in opening a business bank account . She began helping us by asking us questions making sure we had everything we needed. She said do you have an ein number ? are you registered with the state ? Do you have a lease agreement to the comercial location you are renting from? then she look at us in an awkward stare and asked ... are you guys U.S. Citizens? We walked out and went to the branch in oakwood Ga and opened and account with regions there. we were NEVER asked about our Citizenship. We explain to the bankers there our previous experience and they were bothered by our experience and said regions bank is not a company that is looking to offend their customers. We opened our account there just because of the excellent treatment. However, someone really needs to speak to Banker ID C89C6 NMLS 1187602 in the braselton branch. Thanks. Have a great day. I previously had an account at this branch and requested to close it. The representative assisting me told me she was unable to close the account at that time for some reason. I also clearly requested that I no longer receive statements, as I did not plan to use the account anymore. A few months later, I received a statement showing a negative balance and a notice stating that my account would be reported to ChexSystems. I returned to the branch to ask for an explanation. The manager informed me that even though the account had a zero balance, I was still responsible for statement fees -- fees I did not request and was not properly informed about. Overall, I had a very disappointing experience with customer service. It felt like there was resistance to closing the account, and the communication regarding fees was unclear.

This bank has held on to 4 certified cashiers checks worth over 10k hoping that i would not notice that they withdrew it from my account. Now i have to call them on a daily basis and they still don't want to give me my money back, they will not even give me the certified copies of the checks that were written. I have photos of the original checks, they are lying and acting like they didn't do anything wrong. Looks like I am going to take them to court for this. They are stealing money, watch out!
