Absolutely awful experience. My husband and I arrived at this Pinkberry location at 6:45pm on a Sunday. There were only two people ahead of us in line. By the time we got to the window -- at 7:01pm -- the employee told us, "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we're closed." We explained that we had been waiting in line well before closing time, but he just brushed us off with, "It's not our fault people take long -- we still have to clean." Completely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. What made it even worse? They served the customer behind us after refusing us service. No explanation -- just pure disregard. This is the only Pinkberry location where we've ever experienced anything like this. The level of customer service was shockingly poor, and the employee clearly lacked situational awareness or any sense of courtesy. Corrective action moving forward should be simple: train your employees in basic customer service, communication, and how to handle situations like this with professionalism and respect. It's not hard to treat people decently, and if this store can't do that, it reflects badly on the entire brand. We won't be coming back. read more

I want to start off by saying I was having such a good day but I had a really disappointing experience at this Pinkberry that completely ruined my day. The employee (a tall male) didn't greet me or acknowledge me--just stood there waiting for me to order. After placing my order, I moved to the toppings area and said, "Ohhh" to my friend when I noticed the setup. The employee just stared at me with the cup in his hand, he hit me with a blunt "So do you want it or not?"--apparently because I said "ohhh." It caught me completely off guard. Then, when I asked how many toppings I could get, instead of answering, he just turned the cup toward me and silently pointed at the label that said 4 toppings. Pinkberry at the Westfield UTC Mall is located close to Nordstrom. The easiest way to find this kiosk is to park in the structure and take the escalator or elevator to the main level. As you exit at the top, walk straight ahead, and Pinkberry is right at the intersection with the main thoroughfare. Due to their limited space as a kiosk, they don't have as many flavors of frozen yogurt as other shops in the area. I counted six different varieties. There were also four types of smoothies on the menu. I chose a Strawberry Banana smoothie and a small cup of Tropical Mango frozen yogurt. The 24 oz smoothie consisted of their original frozen yogurt with non-fat milk, strawberries, banana, and strawberry puree. It was decent for the $7.95 price. The yogurt came with three toppings so I chose strawberry, mango, and orange colored boba. The mixture was refreshing, but I can't say the quality was much more than average, hence a three star rating for my experience. read more

I will only ever order the original flavor when it comes to froyo from any froyo shop. Pinkberry is no different as they make theirs the perfect combination or tart + sweet. Their other flavors are decent, but nothing beats an original with crushed Oreo or some sort of cookie topping & one or two fruit choices. The crunch with the soft fruit just make it balanced when you combine all the tastes in your mouth, which is why the original is always my go-to so it doesn't interfere with the toppings. Yes, I have a whole scientific method when I comes to eating froyo so you get all consistencies in your mouth, while being able to balance out flavors. Trying to kill some time with my six-year-old daughter, we decided to pass by the booth. I asked her if she wanted to have some frozen yogurt as a treat and she agreed looking at the flavors. She said she wanted an original and me knowing that she might not want that flavor,I asked the worker for a sample. As expected, it was a bit too tart, and then asked the worker if she could try her next option, which was vanilla. his response was are there gonna be any others because I don't want to be walking back-and-forth.. I was shocked a teenage looking kid would tell me that with that attitude. I explained to him since apparently it wasn't obvious to him that my six year-old was indecisive and I wanted to be sure I didn't order something she wasn't going to enjoy, that it might be the last one or maybe another one I wasn't too sure it was up to her. I love that every visit to any Pinkberry that the tastes and flavors are always consistent. I ordered an original medium bowl and got strawberry, kiwi, and mango as my toppings. Just what I needed to satisfy my cravings for something sweet. The setup of the location is what I didn't understand. There are two windows for communication, a lower window for passing your food order and money and a higher window for communicating with the staff. Could have gotten a lot of business from my son and me who just moved to the La Jolla area because we love frozen yogurt - not too commonly found nowadays. This young, blonde worker, Athena Stinnett was rude from the beginning. I asked her, if any of the yogurt flavors were nonfat . She looked at me as though I asked the most "off" question. She did not know and did not budge to find out the answer. Because I did not want to hold up the line, I ordered a small chocolate type yogurt with yogurt chips. When my son ordered his, I noticed he had four toppings without an extra charge. I have never been to a non self-service yogurt store that allows 4 different toppings (which I thought was unique). My son told her that I was confused and did not know four toppings were included in the price. She said it's right on the window (which I did not see since it was a sign hand written in marker) scolded me and said, "I asked if you wanted anything else and you said no." Yes, I said no, because I thought I had to pay more for extra toppings. She kept arguing with me. She would not give me a new yogurt. I was stuck with one topping. She gave me 4 toppings on the side but was condescending, treating me like I was stupid. I asked for her name (could have been a fake name) but I found her name on the receipt. I told her she was very rude and should get a different job. She retaliated by saying, she IS going to get a different job. I did not feel safe with this woman because she kept arguing back with an attitude and seemed passive aggressive. I would not be surprised if she would steal my name and credit card information and so I paid with cash. The yogurt was awful. She ruined the experience! Neither my son and I will ever go here again. SERVICE - The cashier was a nice young girl. She let us sample two flavors before we picked one. I first messaged the official Pinkberry Facebook page to let them know that their account has been compromised, but never heard back, and it was near impossible to get in touch with them. The official Pinkberry response was a perfunctory apology, with grammatical and spelling errors to boot, including a misspelling of my name. The manager seemed sincere, but failed to take responsibility; apparently the Facebook page's response came from a former employee. This situation demonstrates negligence on the part of the company in both allowing this situation to happen and in its response. Had a major sweet tooth for some frozen yogurt today while at UTC and came across Pinkberry. This place hit the spot! I ordered a small swirl which is half yogurt and half chocolate it's a good balance of not too sweet and not too much chocolate. I did try the chocolate hazelnut which was really tasty if you are in the mood for some chocolate. The small is actually bigger then you think cuz you can load up on as many fresh toppings as you want. Super delicious, fresh, and a good healthy alternative to regular old ice cream. read more
