On January 11, 2024 I had the privilege of attending a special event called Mocktail Workshop. "Who says I need alcohol to make a night cap?" Night Inn Experience brought their expert mixologist to teach my community how to make delicious no-proof drinks that everyone can enjoy. By using fresh herbs, bright fruits and flavored syrups I made a no hangover drink. I had a great time meeting new people and mingling with other people I know in my community. The mixologist was very knowledgeable and provided interesting information about the history of her expertise. She also educated on the history of the tools we used to make our Mocktail as well as techniques. It was fun and very educational. Night Inn provided everything we needed such as the drink ingredients and the mixology tools. They set up and cleaned up afterwards. For some of us, family member and I took a spin on the Dream Wheel by Skyviews at American Dream, located in East Rutherford. There are 27 climate-controlled gondolas that offer thrilling views of the Manhattan skyline, including sights of the Empire State Building, One World Trade, 30 Hudson Yards, and Vanderbilt Tower, and in NJ, overlooking the American Dream Mall, the epic MetLife Stadium, and beyond. There's seating when you pay for the VIP option and you can connect to the Bluetooth for music. The staff here are nice and friendly. My family had a great and memorable time. Dream Mall has loads of attractions and today we went to this ones!…read more Sunsets have always been a sight to behold of, but on this ride when hitting the very top and seeing the sunset at its peek really does hit different. We got the gold pass which is 30$ compared to the economy which is 24$, but when it's not busy, I recommend economy since we were the only ones there and that defeated the purpose of a private ride. Overall worth trying at least one.

The venue itself was very identifiable along Fifth Avenue if you are familiar with the New York Road Runners logo and colors as you are in search of it. In order to avoid doing everything on the last day prior to running the NYC Half Marathon, I arrived two days prior in order to pick-up my bib number and t-shirt. I encountered a line of participants that wrapped around the corner of the venue, but the line moved at an acceptable pace. Inside, the venue was congested, requiring maneuvering around individuals once inside, but I assure you not once did I have to stand in any line to pick up my bib number or t-shirt due to how organized everything was; the volunteers made the pick-up process painless in a very helpful and enthusiastic manner which I very much appreciate. There was an email stating that you had to schedule a time slot to pick-up your race materials, but I assure you that you can arrive on any day or time listed to pick up your essentials for the NYC Half Marathon without having to schedule a time. And all that you need is access to the QR barcode showing your affiliation with New York Road Runners, and an identification card to pick up your run essentials for the event. I was in and out, even taking brief moments to look at the event maps, displays and shopping for items to show that I participated in the event, or essentials that would enhance my NYC Half Marathon experience. Everyone was polite. The vendors were so nice/ kind/knowledgeable about their products and giving. The venue was good on how every vendor had plenty of space. They had little sitting areas. Bathrooms were clean. Elevators available for whomever needed them. The event hall was perfect for the expo. Seem as if the event planners thought out everything. Look forward to going to more events at this event hall.

The Staten Island Museum is one of the many museums/buildings on the historic Snug Harbor grounds…read more Ive never been to Snug Harbor before and this was one of the first buildings I came upon. Front desk staff was super friendly and informative. The museum itself isn't very big and I Probably took about 30 minutes to view it. Id say the admission although suggested was definitely worth it. For me though Id say the architecture of the building itself both inside and out was more interesting to me than the exhibits themselves. Who knew Staten Island had such a good little museum? I look forward to coming here and again and will check their listings of events often.

I had never heard of it before. Taking the pages of a book written by Robert Richard Randall. He was a shipmaster who was very kind to build buildings to house the sailors who worked their lives on boats and had absolutely no money , no housing and no financial security. So now this building has become a museum. Environmental fiber arts exhibit was pretty appropriate. This artist have woven plastics into amazing sculptures. Fascinating. Sad that recycling efforts are so low. So much non biodegradable mater. We could do better if we get outraged enough to contact officials to make a change. You will learn how they succeeded in the past with women activists that were able to ultimately clean up Fresh Kills area! Beautiful nature now. The staff recommended a stroll. I saw the statue of the founder of this building. Homage to such a kind man. The garden outside was a nice. I really recommend coming here. If I had my ukelele. Only a few benches to sit on. Some old soccer nets. None of the amenities you'll find at other parks. Guess it's ok for the kids to get in some exercise, but the Marx Brothers deserve a much better monument to their comedy greatness.

They had $4 Salchipapas (fries), $5 Mexi-Max loaded hot dog, $1 mini (regular) Hot Dogs, $2 & $4 beers and complimentary popcorn with interesting sauce as a topping. In addition, they played a Spanish movie. I tried its waffle fries and they were good! A bit on the salty side but good nonetheless! The popcorn was delicious and had a unique topping added to it. They decided to just host private events from now on as opposed to selling hot dogs. I mean, I will miss it but I am glad the same space is still open! From what I can understand, they will hold movie screenings pretty regularly so definitely check it out if you can! The restaurant is pretty accessibly to several subway stations.

I started to have horrible eating habits. A complaining spirit. And a sedentary lifestyle. When I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs I knew I needed change. I went to a trial class in my sweats not knowing what to expect. I got the greatest workout I've had in a long time. Hands down beats the gym. You're paired with a partner and you're accountable for each other during class. Kickboxing techniques are taught (MMA is also provided). Then once that's over, strength routines are given out. We close the end of class with stretch routines. I can mentally and physically see a difference after just 2 weeks of class. I have been attending for about two months and entered a 90 days challenge. They guide us on what to eat, how to train, and obtain goals. Best decision I've made in 2018 thus far. OUS

The price for classes is higher than any of the other local competing karate studios in addition to the price for gear and other necessary equipment for training I needed to consider the cost and speak to my husband before spending a certain amount of money that literally equals a car payment each month and felt it was something we had to discuss however we were going to do it then they just kept texting and calling which made me really uncomfortable because I felt like I once again was dealing with the used car place parking And this area of Rockville center is extremely tricky but I do believe they have a solid program I just don't feel comfortable spending that kind of money every month
