After nearly two years as a regular member of Fitness Factory, today's experience has left me…read moreplanning to cancel my membership this week. Overcrowding and limited access to workout space have become recurring problems, especially in the evenings. Personal trainers regularly take over the blue workout area and equipment for their clients, leaving other paying members unable to use them until their sessions are finished. Today, after using the machines, I needed space for mat exercises to complete my workout, but that area was unavailable again. The green area was also crowded and did not have enough space. It is predominantly used by men, and I personally feel more comfortable doing my mat exercises elsewhere. When I explained this, the manager responded, "Other women work out there." Other women's comfort levels do not determine mine, and that response made me feel dismissed. With no suitable space available, I went into the group fitness studio. There were four participants and one instructor, with mats in the middle and substantial empty space around the sides. The class had not yet started. I asked to use a small area for 10-15 minutes to finish my exercises without disturbing anyone, but the instructor told me I could not stay because there was a class. I understand that scheduled classes may require exclusive use of the studio. What disappointed me most was that, when I went to staff for help, no practical solution was offered. Around 6 p.m., I was told I could wait until after 8:30 p.m. to use the studio, or wait for the personal trainers to finish in the blue area. Paying members should have reasonable access to space to complete their workouts without having to organize their entire routine around personal training sessions. The manager smiled while discussing my complaint, which felt dismissive given how frustrated I was. He said he was protecting Fitness Factory's policies, but I felt no meaningful effort was made to address my concern or help me find a workable alternative. This is not an isolated issue. I have personally witnessed other members complain to the front desk about insufficient space, particularly during evening hours, and friends I have made at the gym have shared similar frustrations. I attend regularly, treat the equipment responsibly, clean up after myself, and respect the shared space. After almost two years of membership, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. I hope management addresses overcrowding, access to shared workout areas, and how staff respond when members ask for help. Today, I left feeling unheard and unable to complete my workout. That is why I intend to cancel my membership this week.

I used to work out at one of those typical gyms but was bored to death and not challenging myself. I tried a trial month in September of 2018 and have been there ever since. I went from a person who hated working out to one who goes 7 days a week. The workouts are fabulous. I can do things I was never able to do before and didn't dream of being able to do. It's never boring because the music is playing and the trainers tell us the exercises and the reps. It is truly no judgment. 20 somethings men and women work out with 50-60 somethings. We partner up and we motivate and support each other. It's an amazing atmosphere. I have lost almost 30 pounds since I joined. I started on on one personal training with Charlene (Minarik) Conway a month ago twice a week and it has been life changing. She is amazing. She is friendly and nice and yet she pushes and motivates. I have made so much progress in one month with her that it boggles my mind. Her and Brian Hernandez have been my biggest cheerleaders in my fitness and weight loss journey. For the first time in my life I am motivated to lose weight the old fashioned way with diet and exercise and to maintain it. I have no doubt I'll reach my goals and keep going.

Brian is awesome, he's so knowledgeable about fitness and every workout is different ... you will never get bored . I think over the summer it doesn't get overly crowded on non-peak hours, but I can't imagine what it's like for the upcoming school year.

After being spoiled with the huge, but still decently priced, gyms in CA this gym was just an…read moreextreme disappointment. I paid for 2 semesters access, but probably only went a handful a times -- needless to say, I seriously wasted my money. After doing some research for other gyms in the surrounding area, this gym started to look better -- price, location, amenities, and options-wise. I, once again, paid for access for 2 semesters but this time went quite often. I've come to understand that this gym takes some getting used to. The top one being the issue of signing up for machines. I find that if I go during off-peak times, I can usually sign up for the machine I want with no issues at all. You just have to be open to options if you're going during the busier hours; i.e. running on the track instead of going on the treadmill, etc. They offer lots of classes as well, but I haven't gotten a chance to try them yet. I'm planning on trying to catch a Zumba class one of these days. The BF plays basketball a lot here, but that is definitely where this gym lacks order. There are sometimes groups of people that will hog the court and not be fair with allowing everyone the chance to play. It gets a bit "heated" and I feel like one day may break out into a huge fight; which could easily be prevented by just setting up a type of list that makes things fair for everything there ... like how they do the machines. Unsure why they haven't had anything set in place for that yet.
