My father is a current patient for rehab there and may I say I am very disappointed. He has not…read morebeen dressed in two days, is not getting the rehab he needs to heal from his back surgery . They leave him in bed all day. Tonight i came to visit at 5:30pm and he hadn't eaten. At 6pm I asked where his dinner was and was told they "forgot". They said they would order him a tray soon. Here it is 6:16 and he still hasn't eaten. The care here is below standard. Every time I visit the nurses are outside smoking. There is no security as well. I don't know what kind of haphazard facility is run here, but my father is not receiving the care we told he would. I'm very dissatisfied. 6:20pm and they just now asked what kind of sandwich he wants? That doesn't sound like a well rounded dinner.

The entire staff was just amazing - so caring and kind and made my father feel like they knew him for years. Maria Carnevale, Director of Admissions, was especially wonderful and went out of her way to work with us no matter what obstacles came up. She treated us like family and made the place truly feel like home. Many of the staff have been there for 10, 15, 20 years or more and that speaks volumes. The facility is decrepit and dirty. The second floor smells of nothing but urine. I worked in…read morehospital settings and have never smelled any care unit, long term or otherwise that smelled this disgusting. Also, they disregard patient rights, catering to family members with ill intent. On their cameras, if they have them and had they paid any attention, they would see a family member horse collaring a patient. Yet they cater to this person, and isolate the patient against their will. After speaking to the Ombundsman of the Center for Aging, Veterans Affairs, my attorney, and my father's VA advocate (whom the facility and the family member used as a scape goat to deny the patient's rights) all told me this was illegal. They deny patients the opportunity to speak to or see their family members based on the wishes of the power of attorney. As I said, this is illegal based on the information conveyed by ALL the above sources. They have also taken incorrect notes regarding calls of the patient. If they can not take proper notes, how could their charting POSSSIBLY be done accurately and correctly? Charting is the way in which a facility covers their ass and ensures patient safety, i.e documenting medication, baths, incidents, etc. If they fraudulently note phone calls, what should we expect from their charts? They don't have the common sense to note that more than one phone may be under a single cell phone account. My father was denied calls from me, his daughter, because my cell phone number is under my mothers account, his ex wife. They did not, however, note the number was not my mothers which they easily could have, as I left them my phone number, and my step mother has my telephone number. So, duh! Also the halls are lined with equipment which according to several oversight agencies this is considered highly unsafe and is not allowed. However, patients in wheel chairs find it very difficult to move through the halls. Apparently, this facility has a very high fall rate as well, which is no surprise. Emergency services would struggle to navigate the halls in a code blue situation. Of course, its likely the nursing staff would take a while to notice that someone had stopped breathing since while I was there a patient was yelling for over an hour and a half because they were sitting in filth. NO ONE HAD CHECKED ON THE POOR LADY. We had to seek help ourselves. The facility is falling apart. Light fixtures hanging, wall paper hanging... The excuse? COVID. COVID was years ago. Come on. This place should be shut down. I also wouldn't feed a dog the food they feed their patients. The nursing home business is quite lucrative so this is very indicative of how their administrators and directors feel about their patients worth. This facility should be shut down. Dying here, neglected and alone, are people's family members, Veterans, loved ones, HUMAN BEINGS! ROSEVIEW SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Can't wait for the Department of Health to get involved.

When it came time for the paperwork there was another text exchange asking about the 2 year guarantee because my parents would fall short of it. She text me "Just be transparent on the financial form, that way we can plan for when they start to apply" That Friday the director started getting involved asking questions. Only to wind up denying them despite what I was told. Director Melissa Hingher told me she was going to talk to someone else at corporate and get back to me. 1 week later hadn't heard from anyone. I escalated it to their corporate office when Kenneth Segarnick emailed me back saying he received my email that was sent to the CEO Brenda Bacon. We scheduled a phone call and he backed them 100% didn't care what was in writing. Stated he wasn't a party to the conversation, but I have it in writing. Bottom line be careful with this place, they will tell you what you want to hear but won't back it up, they are liars simply put. Makes me wonder if they do this with admissions, what would they do when it came to care.

My parents moved in here almost a year ago. I have spent 2 long visits with them to help them…read moresettle in. They absolutely love it. The staff is top notch, and they remember their resident's names, heath concerns, preferences, etc. I was very impressed and feel so much more comfortable with them there while I'm 3,000 mi away. My mom broke her arm about 2 weeks after move-in and they were there immediately to get her to the hospital. The 3rd party care team they use/refer for additional needs can be hit or miss, but is priced well. There are plenty of events here to keep the residents happy and occupied. Dementia/Alzheimer's friendly ;) BBQ's, live music, holiday events, bus trips, Thoughtful food/menus, wine and cheese, arts & crafts. Comradery within the residents and staff. It kind of reminds me of a cruise ship! The peace of mind I have now that they are here is such a relief. I highly recommend looking into this for a senior care option, esp if you know they may eventually need to move to an on-site memory care unit.

They planned the transport from home to facility and the young men were very careful and treated her like family. I was in constant contact from the start, at all times of the day, until the end. The Chaplain on staff was able to give last rites, as was her wish. My family and I are grateful for the care they gave to her.

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. You can tell that they really care for their residents. Dinara, who was giving us the tour knew all the residents by name and was very interacting with them. My parents made the difficult transition from living alone to Brandywine. Although my dad needs much more "help" than mom, they are both finding things they can do together. The weekly trips are a wonderful enrichment for them, as well as interaction with the other residents. Happy hour is also a favorite for them and they look forward to that every week. It's great to know that they are in a safe and nurturing environment.
