Burgers are a bit different in AU than they are in the U.S. I've had a few now in AU where the buns were enormous abut the patties were half as big. Having eaten many amazing burgers in the U.S. and several in AU, I'd say Brad's is right there at the top of my list. In recent months, I have been there twice where I have been treated to inexperienced waiters; questionable food execution and some unwarranted attitude form the owners. I'm not sure what has happened. In the beginning everything looked like there was some heart and soul put into the dishes, now they're just ghosts of what they were. Maybe the owners and staff are tired of the place, maybe not. I hope they go back to the way that it used to be, or at least make some sweeping changes. After twenty minutes we were able to take our table amongst a bustling and lively room of patron. In the background a pianist performed classic covers for our enjoyment. Be it Steak Night, we all ordered the $37 special that included a main and desert. When the mains arrived out and we began to eat. We all agreed that even without the desert, the steak, potato mash and greens were worth way more than what paid for. When the desert came out we ate till we couldn't eat anymore. The Golden Ox is definitely a place where the worship of steak should be condoned.
