Dr. Kabir is wonderful. Everybody has a story; mine began August 24... was perfectly healthy until…read morethat day. Went through several wrong diagnosis and even MTP surgery. Finally found Dr. Kabir in Dec, 2018. LOVE HER! She spent an hour with me on my first appointment, very carefully checking & also ordering a bunch of specific tests. I'm now on the road to getting better, and have a diagnosis of RA & the proper medications. The whole staff at WRO are friendly, and genuinely concerned about me. It's been a long road for me, but they are my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

After being transferred to Dr. Kabir, my diagnosis and treatment plan were repeatedly questioned despite obvious improvement on the medication. Instead of continuing the care plan that was already working, I felt dismissed and unsupported throughout the entire process. When I lost insurance temporarily, I was told I would be helped with samples and patient assistance paperwork, but there was very little follow-through. Calls and portal messages often went unanswered, and I repeatedly had to chase down basic information myself. At one point, I only received a response after physically going into the office and asking to speak with someone. The lack of communication and delays in handling paperwork ultimately contributed to me going without medication for months and experiencing a major flare of both joint symptoms and psoriasis. To make things worse, my prior authorization for Enbrel was submitted under psoriasis only rather than Psoriatic Arthritis, which led to an insurance denial and even more delays in care. Managing a chronic autoimmune disease is hard enough without feeling like you have to fight your own doctor's office for help. I ultimately had to seek care elsewhere because I no longer trusted that my treatment was being handled appropriately.

This is not a review I write lightly, as I rarely write unflattering reviews. However, when they…read moreare deserved, I am not shy about sharing my experience to inform others. This is a "popularly referred practice." Perhaps they are popular because of the volume of clients that they service. Still, the office is old, smelly, and overcrowded with clients in the parking lot and the lobby, and there are long waits. Their phone and in-person customer service causes people to slip through the cracks. If I could give zero stars, I would. After waiting months for an appointment, I was forced to leave crying profusely due to the harsh treatment and unprofessional bedside manner of Dr. Ramachandran, PCP at Greensboro Medical Associates. Avoid him and this office! I am disabled and was 3 minutes late, stuck in their overcrowded parking lot in an argument with another patient who had blocked my car in, and I couldn't get my walking equipment out of my back seat (despite arriving 10 minutes early). I made it into the office flustered and explained to the front desk, but that made no difference to the doctor. Dr. Ramachandran had made up his mind about me because I had already canceled a previous appointment due to a COVID-19-positive status and resulting complications (excuse me for following CDC guidelines!). The "kicker" (and gut punch) was his demeanor. He came into the room without introducing himself, with no attempt at seeming remotely interested in being there, and said, "Why are you here," in a flat tone. Confused, I repeated the question because I knew I had constantly communicated with his staff about my needs; he became exasperated and then specifically asked what was wrong with me. That's when I knew something was not right. I wondered if he was okay, and he said he could refer me to his P.A., but he didn't think he and I "would be a good fit." Mind you, he said this with minimal time in the room, little contact with me, and with the most disgusted look of disdain on his face, I began to cry. Being from the BIPOC community and now disabled, I have been on the receiving end of that demeanor and look, although very far and few times in between. I couldn't leave the room fast enough (and have a walking impediment). I went, crying, to the reception and asked that it be noted that I do not want Dr. Ramachandran to have anything else to do with my file or anyone else at Greensboro Medical Associates. The office did not correctly handle the cancellation of my initial appointment due to COVID-19, and I am unsure if that caused the doctor's justification of his treatment of me. Regardless, I am not satisfied with the communication breakdown, his egregious behavior toward me, and the lack of empathy from the medical office. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone.

There are a few complaints in reviews here about the age of the office & condition of lobby bathroom. Yes, the furniture in waiting area is older; it is also well built and is still sturdy. I'm more interested in the higher quality care, than the age of lobby chairs. There is only one bathroom in the lobby area, and it is used by the adjoining lab, so it is, at times, not perfect. A "please clean up after yourself" sign might be helpful, or simply let the lab know the bathroom needs attention. Exam rooms are modern, well equipped, and always clean. Providers are all skilled, caring and compassionate. Insurance companies are not dictating your care here. Providers will of course find med's. For you covered by your insurance company, but they will also work hard to appeal denials when you truly need brand name or med's. Not on your formulary. Office staff are great; I've never had any billing errors. I do suggest arriving a few minutes early, as sometimes there is a line to get checked in; it is a busy a practice! I highly recommend.
