I shared with her some of my professional concerns with my own clients in my business and she was happy to give me her opinion and advice as well as tools and refrences for my dog training toolbox. She seriously took such a weight off of my shoulders for just listening... as well as pointing me in the right direction. I also talked to her about my story and how I started and she made me so happy when she said "I know your clients are in good hands." Sometimes you just need a little hug from someones words... it means so much to know that she genuinely cares about her students.

I feel very grateful I had the opportunity to enroll into the Master Class program with CATCH…read moreCanine Trainers Academy where I learned about science based/positive reinforcement dog training methods! The school is EXTREMELY organized all around and when you have an email/question someone responds right away and is there to always help. I decided upon the "Master Class" program because it had everything I wanted including: a self-paced solid curriculum (including: book, video learning, and hands-on practicing), an assigned program director for check-ins and questions to run information by that you are learning, along with being set-up with a local mentor for hands-on learning and evaluations with the selected dog you're training. I feel like having these 3 forms of education helped me learn the best to really absorb all of the comprehensive information the program has to offer. I got to work with Justine, as my program director who was AMAZING and made me feel at ease with the questions I presented to her during our check-in appointments each phase of the program. She was patient, understanding and extremely knowledgeable in the school curriculum and dog training in general and a real joy to work with overall! My mentor, Sherry Al-Mufti of The Polished Pup was AWESOME to work with for the mentoring and evaluations portion of the program which gave me great insight into dog training and this was invaluable! I actually was working with her with my dog and asked her if she would want to be my mentor as her methods aligned with CATCH. If you are looking for a dog training school - look no further! You will be very pleased with the amount of knowledge you will gain upon graduation (skills you can take with you forever however you decide to use them going forward)! Thank you so much CATCH Canine Trainers Academy for creating this INCREDIBLE program!

On this basis, I would give a 5 star review. But, the contact/communication has been very bad. Emails flow through someone named "Jessie" who is quite slow to respond, sets short arbitrary deadlines, and since Mike unexpectedly cancelled a lesson on Dec 16, has not responded to numerous emails, a phone message, and even an question that I posted here two days ago about anyone having any recent contact with Shiftabove2. We offered to reschedule or take a refund and have not heard anything back in a month. This side, I would rate a 1 star. Again, Mike was excellent and if they would straighten out the communication issue it would be 5 star rating.

What you learn at this school will stick with you for the rest of your life. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and as long as YOU PUT IN EFFORT, they will more than gladly assist you. Don't bother attending ANY school if you're not willing to put in any work, especially when you're PAYING to attend. It's not a place to come in and sit on your phone majority of the day. Go to class, do what is expected of you just as you would at work and you'll have a great experience. Christine Valmy is filled with extremely hard working educators and staff (whom are not paid well enough for all that they do to keep the school running the way that it does.) There are some issues such as the junior class not having a ceiling so the noise pours in from the back factory where products are made and assembled but Ms. Melissa does an excellent job pushing through those disruptions to deliver her class the knowledge they need to complete the first 300 hours of esthetics. Having a ceiling installed in the back junior class is something that the owners need to really work on. All in all, if you want an amazing education or even just a great service wether it be hair or skin, Christine Valmy is a great place to go. You'll meet great people and what you take away from the school can't be matched anywhere else.
