Attempts to address potential misconduct or lack of transparency are met with suppression, fueling my determination to expose any injustices. Recent events underscore the need for transparency, especially within influential institutions. Red flags emerged with new leadership, but attempts to address them were dismissed. Similar patterns occurred at the leader's previous church in Moscow, Idaho, where NDAs silenced victims. Now he claims ignorance about his behavior, but that does not seem congruent with his past behavior and dismissal from prior church. This seems to be a pattern he most definitely is aware of. An executive pastor, upon confronting the leader about his behavior, was coerced into signing an NDA or face termination. Transparency was further compromised when information was blacked out during a congregation address, claiming ignorance of inappropriate behavior. It's our duty to hold institutions and leaders accountable. Using Matthew 18 as a shield is unacceptable, given the pattern of NDAs to conceal misconduct. Claims of firing for cause raise questions about addressing other misconduct transparently. Biblical standards for pastors emphasize qualities like self-control and accountability, urging transparency in cases of misconduct. I've witnessed dedicated individuals ousted under new leadership, replaced by the pastor's acquaintances, despite their integrity and commitment. It's time to address these issues openly and honestly, ensuring the well-being of our community. Ignoring misconduct and silencing victims contradicts Christian values and undermines trust. If churches and church people were perfect, there would be standing lines to get in…read more That being said, this church is demonstrating God's love in its long-standing presence in Parker and the multitude of outreach programs locally. The preschool serves the families with vibrant, loving programming. There are a number of small groups, Bible studies in the building and out in the community, and they are easy to connect with. Worship is vibrant for both Sunday services. The 9 a.m. service has very traditional music, and the 10:30 service is focused on families and music from recent praise. This is a church that would welcome talented people to leadership in music ministry. I have been attending this church for almost 2 years, and I find the leadership to be thoughtful and focused on earnestly being a living example of Christ followers here. The pastors are open, caring, and very welcoming. Not only is it demonstrated in their acceptance of people, but in every message preached here. This is reflected by the fact that several retired pastors call this their church home. Back to my original statement about being perfect. This church is not perfect, but it is a gathering of humans who recognize they are not perfect, who are working together to build a better faith community in Parker, Colorado.
