I play at courses all around Michigan and this course is Nothing special How would they know that we weren't Perspective members scoping out the possibility of joining? I wouldn't go back here if it was free and I live 10 minutes from the course!!

Heck of a deal I guess if I would've use them in time. $35 for around here plus a bucket of balls at the driving range. Since they expired I guess we had to pay full price which was an additional $55! Got a real feeling that they don't like people that are not members. Both times they made it difficult to schedule a tee time. Didn't return calls for 24 hours or more. For the round today I made a tee time a week and a half and advance. They stopped me and told me I couldn't make a reservation more than one week in advance..lol. So I waited a few days and called them back again. More of the voice message system and not returning calls. Finally made the reservation for this morning. Two days later I got a call from Brian "the golf pro " and he told me that they had no teetimes in the morning and we would have to wait until late in the morning for hours. We agreed. Imagine the surprise when we showed up and there were eight cars in the parking lot. So I guess we were lied to. One of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. Talk about being made to feel unwelcome. Quite a smug character this Brian. Not very welcoming. Especially to people who would could be prospective members here. It's OK that Brian's not very good at his job. $40,000 doesn't get you much in an employee nowadays. He came out on the course and watched us. Drove up to watch us in the middle of the course at one point. He came out to make several rude and smug comments. When we played this course previously we had a pretty decent time. Thought it would be a fun place to come to if we lived closer. Based on our experience this last time I can assure you we will never be back.

Near excellent for a community golf course in a gifted setting along the St. Clair River. On most…read moreholes the layout is interesting and a lot of fun. Longish dogleg par fives. Challenging par threes. Crossing the river ravine six times. The old railroad boxcar repurposed as a bridge is cool. Sand traps, greens and fairways were in very good condition. The grounds crew is trying. There has been improvement since earlier folks dismissed the conditions. Next to the clubhouse is the Splitfire BBQ which I love and have traveled to solely to eat and sit at a picnic table and enjoy the view.

On top of that, they had zero carts available so both our group and theirs were standing here waiting for an hour outside. They then started us out on the back 9, which ended up screwing us. This is because the afternoon tee times were being sent out at 1. There was a lineup of 20 carts on hole 1. We asked for our money back as if we only played 9 holes and left.

The heated driving range is open year around. There is 17 heated and covered hitting bays for you to enjoy year round. The range has distance markers and targets. This review is strictly for the banquet part of the course…read more I was invited to the wedding of one of my teachers and both the wedding and reception were hosted here. I think that makes it pretty convenient for guests. The wedding was held outside in the gazebo area overlooking the course. It was the most perfect day to get married. After the wedding, we enjoyed cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres. The inside venue is HUGE! I loved the large windows overlooking the course and watching the sunset on the horizon. The pallet of color racing across the June sky was spectacular. The food was served family style and trust me there was plenty to go around. My favorite was the pasta and my friend loved the scalloped potatoes. They also offered a salad, beef, and a chicken dish. Everything was delicious. It was so much fun hanging out with my work crew. Everyone is enjoying some down time and this celebration was exactly what we needed. A few of the guys enjoyed a cigar on the outside balcony overlooking the course, while the rest of us ladies....got busy on the dance floor! Of course, my date and I were able to find some quiet time to sneak away and enjoy the views of the starlit night. It was a most perfect night and I would highly recommend this spot for future events.
