We were scheduled to stay at this park for a few days for a family reunion and celebration of life for my sister-in-law. But due to all the smoke in the Canadian wildfires, it is unhealthy for us to stay in the camper. We both have asthma. We called the park to ask if we could get a refund they said no we stay at this park every year when we come to Michigan unfortunately we will no longer stay there they were not lenient to our health issues and that we had to cancel the celebration of life and reschedule it to September instead, they chose greed and to keep our money very sad. We've camped at Pine Ridge Campground for the past five years. Over that time, we've chosen to overlook some ongoing issues -- including a strong and persistent natural gas smell, ant infestations, loud music from a nearby bar, and no real amenities for families. The playground is extremely outdated and rarely used -- it's telling that you almost never see kids riding bikes or playing in the park. Still, we returned each year, hoping for a peaceful stay. Unfortunately, this year changed everything. Managers Joe and Susan falsely accused us of having our dog off-leash (which he never was). We always keep him leashed and use an e-collar to help manage barking. Joe even admitted that no other campers had complained, and we've never had any dog-related issues at any other campground. Despite this, they continued circling our site in their golf cart, closely watching us, and bullying to the point of telling us we were no longer welcome--threatening to call the police for no valid reason. Joe even made a comment about noticing my dog was standing on our dinette table - so he was peering outside our window??? No wonder my dog barked at him. We closed all our shades the remainder of the weekend to avoid feeling like we were living in a fishbowl. This kind of targeting isn't new -- last year, Joe also rushed over in his golf cart to confront us about a visitor pass we had already paid for, showing a lack of trust and an overly aggressive approach. So yet another instance of over-the-top behavior that seems to define their management style. Additionally, communication at this campground is poor -- it's often hard to reach someone to even make a reservation, there's no automation and poor responsiveness. On what should have been a bustling, beautiful summer weekend, the park was nearly empty, which speaks volumes. After years of being respectful, loyal guests, we've decided it's time to move on. If you're looking for a welcoming, dog- or family-friendly campground with basic hospitality and amenities, we suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Extremely disappointed and don't think policies were clear. The park is very nice very wooded however we were traveling with friends that were staying with us in our camper. They said they asked when booking who will be there at time of arrival, to be fair. I probably didn't think twice because I've never heard of this in my lifetime. our friends got there after us so they consider them visitors and charged them an additional $60, even though I put 4 people as our reservation. When I spoke to the manager, I said so no one can have people meet up from different areas, or jobs, or days at your campground? She stated that's correct unless they arrive with you. In my 40 years of camping I've never heard of such an idiotic rule where people can't join you later and get a car pass. Due to this we will never camp here again, and quite frankly management didn't seem to care. read more

Terrible experience. There over the weekend. Had reservation for 4. 2 different families arriving at different times in the evening. Due to us not arriving at the same time we were charged an additional $60, calling us guests not part of the regular reservation. So disappointed. Manager was terrible to work with. Horrible July 4th camping experience. The mosquitos were overwhelming, dogs barking continuously and park managers, Susan and Joe did NOTHING to resolve the issues. How can you charge for camping and not spray for mosquitoes on a holiday weekend? Also the park is infested with large black ants that bite. Beware!!!!! read more

This is a great Campground, but.. -tight campsites that have a slope. The thing that ruined it for my wife & I was the loud music from the bar located adjacent to the Campground. The loudness of the bar's music reverberates throughout the Campground until midnight. read more

Great Rv Park. Love the trees but not great for satellite. Nice big pull throughs. Says pet friendly but then when they hand you the "Park Rules" it says 1 small pet allowed. They don't seem to enforce the 1 small pet rule, but they need to update the website . We would not have booked if we read that because we have 2 large dogs, Other than that it's beautiful and friendly. FYI- spotty cell service, raceway noises are loud on Friday & Saturday nights & live music from the bar is also loud most nights. read more

We stayed here last weekend! It was a woody campground. However, some of the roads inside the campground were twisty and turny which was not easy to do when your pulling a camper. The sites were pretty tight (too close together) for the most part. The bathroom facilities could use a good update to them! They did have a clubhouse you could rent for big group gatherings. Don't buy their firewood it burns way to fast! Get it somewhere else! Nothing much for kids to do! Had a small playground that could use some updating. No Wi-Fi if you have teenagers which is a bad thing! Our dog got eaten up by bugs. Yep in October!!! My poor dog had welts all over his body! The staff very very nice! It's just like 10 minutes away from Frankenmuth. Only 5 min away from Birch Run outlet mall! So if you don't mind a campground with that has really nothing to do on it. Then this is the place for you! It's not real kid friendly. Great for just adults that want to get away from the world and unplug! read more

Frankenmuth is lousy with campgrounds. This place has great staff, centralized bath/laundry house, and lots of shade. Downside is they parked us in a lot with a hornet's nest at the base of two trees. They came by and empties two cans of spray and left. Came back an hour later with another can and left it with us. Didn't do any good. Husband was stung, of course. We hoped the smoke from the fire pit would keep them calmer but don't know if it did any good. Maybe that kept the rest of us from being stung too. Very quiet at night, so no campfire guitar sing a longs for us. So it was pretty boring. We won't go back. read more

Never answers phone for booking and organization in office is horrible! Beautiful park but office is the pits!!

Very nice park. Large sites and a lot of trees. Front office staff (Susan) is very hostile and not customer focused. The park owner is very very hostile and yells at customers. Stayed for a few days in late October. The park has about 200 sites and only 12 were occupied. Came in without a reservations and they put us on a site but told us this site may have a reservation and we might have to move. Turns out someone had reserved our site and they asked us to move. Considering the campground was nearly empty I asked them if they could ask the incoming customer if they would mine checking in to another site so I would not have to move. They refused to contact this incoming camper. The owner became hostile and violently yelling at me and said he was kicking me out of the park and was calling the police on me. Too bad because we liked this park. Wed won't return until there is new office management and a new owner. I have to state that Stan who works the morning shift in the office is a very nice guy and very customer orientated. read more

Really nice, no frills park. Full hook-ups, mostly pull throughs, large sites, mature trees. Great water pressure. Laundry, showers. Nice neighborhood. Frankenmuth 4 miles down the road. No cable or wi-fi Laundry, 2 washers, 2 dryers, newer machines. $34/night read more

This a very nice privately owned RV Park. This is not a campground as it is for RVs only. All of the sites are full hook up and the park is very nicely wood. The grounds are very well-maintained. This is the preferred place to stay for people with large RVs when visiting Frankenmuth Michigan. The sites are generally a decent size. The bathrooms and showers are serviceable. Although I would not describe them as "nice". The showers are quarter operated. You receive five minutes of nicely heated water for $.25. $.50 is generally enough to get you through a shower. There is a good deal of traffic during the day so it is important to keep pets on leashes We have stayed here many times and it is our go to spot when visiting Frankenmuth. read more

We agree with Mike P. on the state of the management. In the last 24 hours here, they gave away the prepaid guest pass to someone else, delivered our campfire wood to someone else and haven't been very easy to deal with. Though the price is far less than the Jellystone closer to town, we will likely camp there instead next time. Everything is clean and tidy. This park is clean, quite and friendly. Totally enjoyed our week stay here. Will definitely come back. Huge pull through lots. Security patrols the park every 40 min. If your looking for a clean, quiet place to stay, this is it. Birch Run outlet mall three minutes away and Frankenmuth 15. Spent the week of the 4th here and had no problems. Staff was nice and friendly. We didn't have a car with us(Class A), and all though we didn't end up needing it, they offered us a ride to the local Meijer. No WiFi, but really, a week without it didn't kill us! AT&T service was just ok but enough. No tents, spacious lots with lots of trees throughout, mostly pull throughs with fire rings and picnic tables. Has a basic playground and grassy area for kids but that is about it. If your looking for entertainment for your kids, bring your own. We had a nice relaxing stay and would stay here again! read more

This is the second time we have stayed at Pine Ridge. Park is clean staff is friendly. Some lots are a tight fit but not as bad as some parks we have been to in 7 years of full time rving. Will be back in the future. Close to outlet mall and Frankenmuth plenty to do in the area. read more

This is a beautiful quiet campground. Very safe and one of our favorite campgrounds but only go there if you want quiet. The office staff, except for Vicky, are all rude and act like you are interrupting them. If you are lucky enough to get Vicky, she's great. They patrol the park about every 40 min on a golf cart and you better not have your camp fire to large or be wiping down your camper. There is no WiFi and neither Verizon nor ATT get more than one or two bars. This could be a five star place. Add WiFi and be nice. That's all it would take‼ read more

Came home today from the worse campground we ever stayed in,,, lots are on top of each other, set a sever angle between trees that you couldn't hardly maneuver around to park,,, are neighbors septic pipe sat right on the our edge so when we put are awning out we had to set next to it an there smelly hose, not to mention there leaky water faucet running water on to our carpet, no speed limit that was unforced,,people flying by stirring up clouds of dust,, no phone service, WiFi didn't work,, people save your money go elsewhere, Pine Ridge campground was the pit!!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. The park had my travel dates wrong. Could not even call back to fix problems because the wouldn't answer the phone when I tried to call back. Had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Never receive a conformation so I didn't know they had the wrong dates. But after reading all the horrible reviews on this place I'm so glad I didn't put my family through the torture of staying in this park. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! read more

We were staying at a nearby campground and wanted to drive through pine ridge because of the good reviews. When I called to ask if we could, the lady said no because the camp was too crowded. We pulled in Thursday for the 4th of July weekend 2015. Campground is very nice. However Management could have been nicer!! Very rude! Messed up our pre-paid reservation. Had to go back to the office 2-3 times get the right passes. No greeting skills, no people person skills, and made us feel like we where an inconvenience to them. Will NOT go there again! read more
