We have been camping here for the last 9 years and this year has been the worst. Staff and "security" have been horrible, patrolling and treating adult weekenders like children. The guy who places people on sites, doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. We had a group site which we've had before and already knew the boundaries, he insisted we were wrong then changed his mind more than once. Golf cart security boxed a vehicle like they were chasing a hellcat charger on I69, dude was doing 7 mph and speed limit is 5. Empty park and dogs can't run in the empty field. No waders in the water. No signs or indications campers can't do things. read more

The campground plays music on weekend nights so loud that you can't have a conversation at your bon fire. We called the store and ask why they play music that loud and they said they couldn't do anything about it. It went on until 11pm, lousy karaoke and noise so loud we couldn't drown it out with the A/C fan in the camper and were about 1000ft away. We won't be back. This is ridiculous. read more

Krystal lake is a beautiful campground, however do NOT become a seasonal. Different set of rules depending which way the wind blows that day if the owners like you or not. The owners do not care as they are always full and have a wait list. Their way of thinking is "it's NOT what we can do for you, it's what YOU can do for us" . As long as you feed them, shovel horse poop, fix electrical problems, free labor to benefit them, sell their 50/50 , rip 50/50 tickets, etc.... Power can make a person very ugly. Wish we would of stayed "weekenders", it is a beautiful place to camp and we got treated well. And we would of never knew the other side that makes this place miserable. read more

The campground itself is beautiful with lots of great amenities. I liked our site on the water and the fire pits are nice and big. The store is nice and there's a couple of playgrounds, a volleyball net at the beach as well as a nice little beach for the kids to swim. It's surrounded by three little lakes that you can fish in. Theres a putt putt course, basketball courts, and canoe/kayak rentals. They pride themselves in being a great family campground, which they are for the most part. Here is where my reduction in stars comes in. They advertise that their pool closes at 8 PM, along with their store. The grandkids and I went to go up there for a very quick dip at 7:30 and they said that they were closing the pool early at 7:30. I told them that when we started camping they told us that the pool closed at 8 PM and it closed at 8 PM all the other nights, but they didn't care and closed it anyways where they could've just let us go in for the half an hour that they were supposed to be open. Don't advertise closing times and then close early just because they're slow. This is a Campground and if they tell you certain hours, they should keep it. Then when I questioned them about the early closure and told them that they really should stay open until the 8 PM advertised time, they got pretty rude and the lady called the owners or something and then they decided to close the store at 7:30 because she originally said that they were keeping the store open until 8 PM but closing the pool. She then shut the door really hard. That is not good business. The only other thing I wanted to say is a mix of good and bad. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, which we thoroughly enjoyed and it created a great atmosphere. The choice of music was great and it was nice hearing it in the evening. I just wish they would have ended it at 10 PM and not 11 PM because by the time it ends at 11 PM, we were really tired at that point. I wish I had enough time to sit by the campfire, without the loud music and chill out and relax before going to bed. Overall, it was a positive experience with a few things that I wish they would modify. read more

Love this campground! It's not overwhelmed with extras that take away from the camping experience like a KOA but still plenty to keep the kids busy. $1 mini golf free access to the pool (salt water I believe) clean beach with kayaks available to rent. Hay rides scavenger hunts karaoke/DJ dancing and super friendly staff. The 4th of July they put on the most amazing firework show you sit on the beach and watch some come out of the water other from the island in the lake others come from the right and others from out of the woods to the left and just when you think it's over it gets even better last years show lasted over 30 mins. Or come on a Halloween weekend campers decorate sites and the kids dress up it's a lot of fun. To much to list everything I love about this campground I recommend you check it out! read more

We stayed here a couple nights recently and enjoyed our stay. The campground is clean and well kept. Showers are clean and have hot water. This would be a lovely place to stay in the Summer, but in the Fall it's just as beautiful. The staff are really nice and accommodating as well. read more

When we arrived we told them we were staying until the 6th but on the 5th we were told to leave because another campsite wanted our lot! We had a pop up camper and weren't going to pack up everything and leave just to stay another day. Also, they didn't have fireworks because they just didn't want to! And if they didn't want to do fireworks because of social distancing then why is everyone in the pool and lake all together? And it's so hot and there is NO shade on most of the lots. Don't go if you don't want to burn alive in the heat!!! And we drove 1 hour and 37 minutes to see the fire works! They could've told everyone before that they had no fire works, they had weeks to think about it. read more

Nasty campground! Garbage all over the sites! There is no one working at night to make sure the campground is safe. People were loud and kept us up till 2 am. Cannot get anyone to help because we couldn't find anyone. The owners were rude to me and wouldn't even talk to me about it. Since I'm not a local person or someone who is seasonal I felt like They didn't want to waste their time. Spend your money somewhere else. Don't waste your time here. Oh and it's not handicap accessible either! read more

We have been going to Krystal Lake for 10 years and we love it! They have plenty to do for families, everything is clean, and the staff are all very friendly. We LOVE their Halloween weekends in October. They also have a great Fireworks display for 4th of July weekend! Highly recommend Krystal Lake! read more
