I would just like to thank Dr. Keshmiri for the way he took care of my extraction this week. He explained everything he was going to do and made sure I understood. He took the time to explain it all and was very patient when I had questions. During the procedure he asked me multiple times if I was ok or did I want him to stop for a minute. When he was finished he told me what to do concerning the aftercare. I am a huge scaredy cat when it comes to the dentist. But I trust Dr. Keshmiri completely! If you need emergency work done they're an alright place to get it done but do not make these clowns your primary dental care specialists....I've spent a month trying to get a cleaning done... first time they couldn't work on me because my blood pressure was too high...well if you had to sit in your car for an hour and then be forgotten about your blood pressure would be high too. So I had a reschedule....the morning of my appointment they call me asking if they can bump my appointment to the next day because THEY had a call out and now they're too short staffed...so yet another reschedule..... two weeks later I'm back again trying to get this cleaning done....I got there early before the appointment and now I've been here for about 40mins....waiting to be seen... last time I'm coming here....this is outrageous.... The only saving grace is that the receptionist are actually nice and helpful but the rest of the dental staff could give a rats ass about you... read more

I just want to express my utmost gratitude and thanks to this practice for having Saturday hours. I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY dentist in Winchester that does. It saved my husband and I's sanity big time! My 6 year old started running a fever 5 days ago and at first we just chalked it up to the nasty bug going around her school that was apparently taking quite a few kids out of school. Her fever started spiking pretty high by the 2nd and 3rd day- at one point it peaked at 104.8 degrees! That was pretty scary. She didn't seem to present any other symptoms and she appeared in mostly good spirits until my husband and I noticed she appeared to have sprouted a THIRD front tooth! One of her permanent two front teeth was more than half in and the 2nd one was a little further behind. That "third tooth" was looking pretty gnarly and starting to cause her gums in front irritation & pain, bleeding and tissue damage. She was also complaining of some neck pain too. Of course my mind raced to the worst possible scenario! We took her into her pediatrician yesterday, who will remain unnamed, they gave her a look over and said she just had the bug going around and gave my husband some lab work paperwork. The Dr said if my daughter was still running the fever to go get a blood work up from the hospital. My husband mentioned the tooth situation to the Dr and requested she look at it. From what I understand the Dr didn't even bother to look in her mouth. (Not her area of expertise??) I wasn't present for the appointment, but this is what my husband says. Today was day 5 of her running a fever so my husband took my daughter to get the blood work done earlier in the morning which was fairly unpleasant since it was my daughter's first time having blood drawn. Long story short-er, later on in the afternoon, my husband encouraged me to look up a dentist that was open on Saturdays. The only one still open was Pine Dentistry and Orthodontics- formally Kool Smiles. I scheduled a same day emergency appt with their call center (not directly with the office). Probably not the best idea in hindsight because they were clueless about the information to collect. They just seemed...not all there. BUT that is NO reflection on the actual practice whatsoever. We got there, filled out the paperwork, and were called back within 15 minutes. The front desk staff was very accommodating. As it turned out...my daughter did NOT have a 3rd tooth growing in but rather a serious infection, that her PEDIATRICIAN NEGLECTED TO FIND BECAUSE THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO LOOK. In hindsight my husband and I are pretty pissed over that oversight of her Dr's. She missed 4 days of school, endured a pretty high grade fever for most of those 4 days, not to mention unnecessary pain and discomfort AND my husband and I kind of kept our distance from her (me especially) concerned we could also catch the bug. I'm almost 5 months pregnant and this was STRESSING me out! Little or no physical contact with my daughter for 4 days killed me! Back to Pine Dentists- Pine Dentists flushed and debrided the infected tooth and took almost 45 minutes of thorough care with her including taking X-rays that revealed simply a lot of tooth crowding and the infection. That was all- no 3rd tooth (apparently that's pretty rare). Huge weight lifted from my shoulders. The dentist sent my daughter off with a prescription for an antibiotic for the infection, a couple of toy goodies, and a green balloon. My husband was thoroughly impressed with how well we were taken care of and the time that was taken with our daughter. This is definitely our new dentist going forward! I don't think I can say as much for our pediatrician right now. I'm pretty sure we'll be looking for a new pediatrician going forward. read more

Horrible experience. Do not take toddlers here. No compassion and they practice on your kids. They make you pay before going in the back and because the service wasn't performed (5 year old traumatized) they said they would have to mail me a check. A month later and still have not been reimbursed. Dentist and some staff barely spoke English. DON'T subject your children to this practice. It's better to wait for an appointment with a reputable practice. read more

Since KoolSmiles changed their name to "Pine Dental" to be more family friendly, they have gone into a tail spin and the service has degraded to ZERO! First the office manager left creating complete chaos in the staff. Next, it appears every dental hygienist left resulting in the cancellation of all adult appointments with one day notice. Unlike their incessant automated appoint confirmation phone calling, 8+ times . . . . after you have ALREADY confirmed your appointment the first time. Then yesterday the mexican mouth of the lobby calls 4 times wanting to reschedule my appointment they cancelled because the staff fled. To reschedule, they wanted it at their convenience - NOT MINE! BEST OPTION FIND A REPUTABLE PRACTICE. These idiots will be out of business in the very near future! read more

Just got done taking my 21 month old son here for his first appointment. The hygienist was very nice and did well with him. However after she was done with the cleaning we waited 50 total minutes for the dentist. They said the dentist was fixing a filling. After 45 minutes of trying to entertain my son we grabbed everything and told the front desk we were ready to leave because it was taking way too long, especially for a 1 year old. They said the dentist would be done in a few minutes. The dentist finally came out and did the fastest check I've ever seen. She was clearly in a hurry and I'm assuming it was to get back to the other patient with the cavity because no one ever came out of the room she was in. Afterwards I went to check out and they told me that they had already scheduled his next appointment in 6 months and to call the office to reschedule if I need to. I assume that's easier for them than for the 4 ladies behind the desk to let me look at my schedule and see what day and time works best. I told her to just go ahead and cancel the appointment. We will definitely be looking for a new dentist to take him to next time. I suggest you do the same unless you have a spare hour and a half to hangout and entertain your child at a dentist office. read more

Beware! I expect a dentist to be knowledgeable and kind. I got neither. After being told the wrong appointment time at confirmation, I was in the office the same time as another woman. The hygienist, whose last day was that week, jumped back and forth between us. She told me my gum pockets were good, but she wanted to use the water spray tool for a deeper cleaning for an additional $50 charge. (My last dentist used the tool regularly as part of my regular cleaning.) I refused and had to ask specifically for a regular cleaning. I then waited and waited for the doctor while the techs repeatedly reminded him that there were two of us waiting on him. After the doctor told the other woman that she had multiple cavities, he came to me and said hello. That was the last time he spoke to me. He examined me, walked away, and the tech then informed me that the doctor had found six cavities across my molars! I haven't had a cavity for years, so I was highly suspicious. I refused to schedule treatment, asked for copies of everything, and went to another dentist for a second opinion. That dentist found ZERO cavities and completely disagreed with everything on the treatment plan. He couldn't even understand why some of the teeth were marked because he saw nothing at all on them. Oh, and did I mention Pine Dentistry charged me for each of my kids and me for regular preventive cleanings? This place is out to get your money one way or another. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. This place is terrible. We will start with the appointment. I have five children and they handled that part extremely well getting them all in and out. Then they told us everyone of our kids at at least three cases of more dental work needing to be performed. This seemed odd to us but we didn't argue and setup the next appointments for this work. It was a couple months wait to get in and during this time we took the kids to another dentist and out of all five of my kids only one of them needed extra dental work done. This was alarming to say the least. We canceled our follow on appointment with Pine and assumed no harm no foul. Then we started getting the collection notices. First one was weird we argued but eventually paid it. Shortly after we received more collection notices and then we started doing our due diligence. We found out that our insurance had already paid out and we never should have paid the first notice. After this we naturally fought the second set of collection notices only for nothing to be done. One year later I am being forced to pay again to get my credit back up to where it should be. If you count insurance we have double paid, had our credit downgraded a lot and they tried to lie to get us to come back for work that didn't need to be done. These people are crooks and I wouldn't send my dog to get dental work done at Pine Dentistry. read more

We went to Pine Dentistry in Winchester, because they were formerly Kool Smiles and were part of our Dental Insurance program. We called to check if they were part of our insurance plan and were told that they were, so we made an appointment. When we showed up, they told us they had to check to see what was covered, and made us wait 20 minutes in the lobby while they checked our insurance and told us we were covered and would only owe a $20 copay for an evaluation. Imagine our surprise when we received a bill next month for $79. We argued back and forth with them, that they are the ones who told us the evaluation was covered for only a $20 copay. We refused to pay anymore and they sent us to collections, who listed us with the credit bureaus. The insurance company told us that they were not part of their system as PIne Dentistry. That the contract they had was with Kool Smiles, which was the name over the door when we entered. It has subsequently been changed. They are very unprofessional and have very suspect billing and insurance practices. read more
