Owners and staff of the campground very nice and friendly. Stayed here labor day weekend there are a TON of golf carts here so stay alert at their Nascar speeds. Arcade could use a major renovation. Broken glass on a few windows, missing glass on one of the doors. Games weren't really anything my kids wanted to play, need to upgrade to the 21st century. We had a nice site next to the water however it was very loud at night due to the ducks obsessively quaking, highway noises and the Walmart distribution center. Some of the seasonal sites very grungy and aged, makes the place look trashy. Some of the sites need a major pressure wash! Sites are very large and level and spaced out nice. Bathrooms were clean, free showers are nice. Plenty of activities for adults and kids. Next time we'll forgo the beach site in leau of a quieter site further away. Overall would come back, owners do their best with what they have. read more

I am writing as a warming about the treatment of my disabled adult daughter: today and last week at Pine Acres. She loved the campground and sent me literally 100s of pictures of the wildlife and activities. She had a friendly connection with Brendan and some other staff; she had a terrible Christmas last year, and she told me how doing a Christmas craft and attending your Christmas party healed that for her. She was happy, and I can't imagine she was an issue other than the crying, She sent me pictures of the " neighborhood" she was moving into for the rest of the season. She was happy. She's been struggling so much since the loss of that dog. I felt like she had found a place to heal, was having fun, and was going to be ok. She mentioned wanting to be friendly ( greeting people is hard for her) and make the park a better place, like picking up others' trash. I was shocked to hear she was asked to leave simply for having an autistic meltdown, a neurological event she will experience for the rest of her life, like a seizure. Even if this made others uncomfortable, she didn't damage any property, threaten anyone, or do anything that could possibly warrant this treatment. It seems that someone was uncomfortable with the intensity of autistic emotions, and she and I now faced devastating consequences, including additional costs from a hotel, having to move the trailer twice, once now and once again in Oct when she had planned to leave, and Ubers. Moreover, I also have a traumatized daughter who is scared to settle anywhere, worried she will be kicked out for crying. This never needed to be handled like this. She tried to advocate for herself and ask for one more night to prepare, but she never refused to leave; she was packing well, advocating. She was also advocating, believing that the people who had been so kind would be reasonable. Then she was retaliated against for that advocacy. The retaliation for the civil rights complaint is incredibly disappointing as the first step in disability discrimination issues is to try to get the parties to resolve. Grace is reasonable, and a resolution could have been reached to address any non-discriminatory concerns; instead, you chose violence. Grace is kind; I realize she is a bit awkward, but that doesn't mean she wanted this mistreatment. Additionally today they gave her a hard time coming to pack up the trailer to have it moved despite her every effort to follow there rules. read more

Car blaring music at a site, people yelling - it's currently 11:33pm and I will have to wear noise cancelling headphones in order to sleep. We've RV'd all across the USA - this is the first 1-star review I've ever gifted a park and I'm only doing this to warn others to keep driving! Our next door neighbors were fantastic, the first night we all sat by the fire and chatted but the second night was just so bad with drunk people yelling and the loud music.... Everyone sadly went inside because it sounded like it would eventually turn into a domestic situation that none of us wanted a part of for our own safety. The car vacuum and tire air machines were inoperable. The trash is only at the front entrance, none others throughout the large campground - which we empty daily so that's a bit of a haul to the front gate each time. The golf carts non-stop all day and allllll night... over the speed humps - annoying. I didn't use the restrooms - there was a young boy tormenting his screaming sisters with wet toilet paper balls in them... never saw a parent - ever so I didn't approach. Positives are that the laundry room was in good working order and the gift shop staff was nice, check-in was easy. Overall - do not stay here until they get this park back under control. read more

I really wish I could give less stars. We went twice to this place to give it the benefit of the doubt. The first time once the office closed the golf carts were speeding everywhere , children driving. There was someone near the beach screaming all night , partying and drunk driving the golf carts up and down the road below our campsite. We got No Sleep The second time we went there we stayed at the opposite side from last time , thinking it would be better but it wasn't. There was glass everywhere on the ground from broken beer bottles. We asked for a certain site weeks before and they ended up giving our site to someone else. What is the sense of reserving sites . We Brought our dogs with us this time, and kids would continually walk up behind them and trying to pet them as they were sleeping scaring them to the point I was petrified they may nip a kid. The young children were walking through multiple camp sites and just randomly talking to people . we could not get them to leave. We could not get a second to relax. The bathrooms were disgusting, fecal matter all over the place .. they shut the bathroom down once I called telling them it was hazardous. The next bathroom near us was closed the last time and this time we went , so instead of them fixing the issues they just made them out of order and we walked 20 minutes to the other side of the camp to pee. The people across from us , who from the look of their site were regulars , they had so many lights on their site that you could probably see them from the moon. The lights shone into our tent each night we were there. The music was Blasting the whole time, we could not hear the birds at all. Just the music from morning till night. We could barely walk our dogs around the campground because the golf carts were speeding up and down the roads . This place was not relaxing at all , I am embarrassed for this campground. First of all the cottage is very nice for 1-2 nights max. You have to bring everything, blankets towels, pillows, pots pans etc..when I came in I found a bouncy of crumbs. It wasn't cleaned before we got here.. so that's why I gave it 4 stars. They also didn't have anymore golf carts... which was weird. This campground is not worth the amount of money that is charged. Used the laundry today and it was dirty, floors have not been swept, fans have dust hanging off, broken floor tiles and walls have stuff splashed and never cleaned. Went to garbage location to put my bag into dumpster and looked like land fill, broken Tv and other items laying outside dumpster. It looked like the dumpster overflow never gets cleaned up. I tried to keep my vehicle away from dumpster because of broken glass. Walking around campground and you wonder where are the maintenance people! We've seen several sites that have junk piled up and never cleaned. Never used restrooms so have no idea about those conditions. read more

We came here a couole of times ten years ago and enjoyed ourselves. So when we needed a campground in the area for a softball tournament we decided to come back. There are way more seasonal sites then last time we were here. It is the 4th of July weekend so the campground is loud which is to be expected. We had a bit of a issue getting our camper into our site due to the narrow road. The campground could do a better job controling gulf carts which drive on the wrong side of the road and travel the wrong way on the narrow one way streets. The "security" at the gate was over the top. The guy who worked the gate most of the time looked like he just did a bid in state prison down to the prison tats. Not sure if there are new owners or just management. But the lady at the front desk was by far the rudest individual I may have ever encountered. My family and I have stayed at this came for about 5 years now. The owner stopped by our camp a few years ago. Nicest man ever. They were so accommodating. Now this was all gone. We requested to be near friends like we have in years past they wouldn't do it. No activities for the kids like they have in the past. And we were told they weren't doing golf carts anymore. read more

I have one thing to say about Pine Acres. If it wasn't for the seasonals I would never come here camping again in my life and I've been camping here for 40 years now. The Management's sucks and they took away at least 95% of the activities that they had here for years. I will never go seasonal here because they offered nothing for the ridiculous amount that they charge the seasonals to be here. I camped here when it was privately owned by Stan Shea and Don Tracy and they had 24/7 security and they had activities running every day of the week for adults and kids and the weekends were unbelievable. The only reason I'm still here is because all of the seasonals know me and they treat me like one of the family and that's why I still come here every year because I know them and I've never met a greater bunch of people in my life. I thank God for the wonderful people that Camp here seasonal. I have not a bad word to say about any of them. read more

This is a f****** camp. We are out in the woods. There are going to be poison ivy and bugs. That's what we call the outdoors. As to the bathrooms they are cleaned often and while some people my complain I would like to add that this is a f****** campgrounds you're lucky that you have running water and plumbing. THIS ISNT A PLACE TO BE GLAMPING. This place is about getting away and having fun and people that complain about loud noises. There are well over 100 campsites and with well over a 100 groups so you can expect a few bad eggs, even though pine acres has instituted a noise policy. If you can't handle a day with bugs and trees don't go here like Jesus Christ this is a campground not a 5 star hotel. This post is to complain about the reviews I've read and to tell how pine Acres really is. Pine acres is a place of fun. There are bugs and there is poison ivy but there are also caring staff who plan out activities for people to do. You make your own fun and if you can't handle other people having fun until 11:00 then don't come here. read more

Pine Acres Cafe is amazing. The food is fresh and the chicken fingers (which are my favorite) are hand battered and to die for. The menu variety is awesome. They have nightly specials that are always delicious. I have not ordered anything that was not AMAZING!!! I have loved everything I have ordered. Veronica is always happy and goes out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you want and how you want it no matter what. I cannot say enough about the food and Veronica. Never again! This place is just plain awful. Dangerously narrow roadways, cars and gold carts speeding around the entire campground at top speed all hours of day and night, all the tent camping sites are right at the front of the resort, which is right on a loud main road. The "teen rec center" is disgusting - it has 3 falling apart sofas lined up next to one another, a ping pong tables that looked like a bear had been chewing on all the edges (and missing the net in the center), the stairs to get into it are uneven and falling apart as well. The "beach" area is horrifyingly gross - the color of the water is kinda like rust, I was told by a local it's because an over abundance of red algae invaded when they tried to damn off a portion of the river - not to mention there is no life guard present so swim at your own risk on both accounts. The other campers are rude as well. The playground near the teen reck center is a dangerous disaster- children would be safer walking barefoot on broken glass than in this playground. The bathrooms & showers are another filthy disgusting thing - they get cleaned once every three days - I was there a week, the bathroom closest to my site was cleaned literally twice. I started carrying my lysol wipes with me to clean up before using the facilities because they became so dirty so fast by the pigs - errr other campers. The owners literally have no rules set in place for the campground either - you can literally do anything you want there and you won't get asked to stop or leave or whatever. The people on the site next to mine had a large dog that they didn't bother to leash (my two were on a leash constantly or laying down in my tent) - and their dog kept wandering to my site to say hello, thankfully it was a friendly dog but when I spoke to the people who run the place, nothing was done. There is also no security what so ever, people can come and go as they please, people can easily sneak in, set up camp or go to the beach, play ok the basketball court, etc without paying or checking in. You would think this being a private and more expensive campground conditions & security would be much better - state campgrounds that we paid 1/3 the price per night for are all far better. BTW there's poison ivy & bald face hornets nests literally EVERYWHERE on this campground. Forty of my inlaws went on this trip, half of them ended up with poison ivy by day 3, my nephew got stung the moment he got to his campsite. If your planning to be at this place on a weekend - good luck to ya! They do all sorts of events, the Saturnine morning we were planning to leave they were setting up for some sort of tailgating party, a bunch of rude people driving in just for the party tried to park in my campsite, two people even sat down in my chairs, my husband and I had to keep kicking people off our site - and again, the owners of this place don't give a damn. And finally the joke of a "fire pit" - actually there is no fire pit, there's just the old rusty tire rims on some of the sites that were stand ins for real fire pits. If your planning to camp in New Hampshire, try Pawtuckaway or if you have dogs Bear Brook - both are a major improvement from this horrible place. read more

This is a nice campground, but it can get loud. This is definitely a place that people come to party. I do like that there is no fire curfew as we can be night owls. The bathrooms and showers were wicked clean. The campsites do have some privacy. The only things I didn't like were the narrow roads make it a pain to navigate and back in a trailer, and the golf carts zipping around everywhere all day and night does get a little annoying. I would will most likely be back again sometime next year. read more

I'm Very disappointed I felt like I wasted my money! My first and last time ill be here, we rented a cottage the setup was nice but upstairs mattress had someone's hairs on them(gross) the mattress down stairs was terrible probably the worst sleep I've had in a long time super squeaky every time u moved and the futon was the same way even that sagged at the top, the freezer had a bag left inside that smelled so bad I'm just all around disappointed my 6 year old didn't even enjoy himself read more

This place was horrible. Two kids and one adult in our camper and at 11:00 people started blasting karaoke music. Singing through a microphone which was connected to a base. At 12:30 am they were still super loud and obnoxious. It got to a point where we had to go home and switch campgrounds. This place is aweful, it's 11:30 and have a site of 10-15 people screaming in a another language for 5 hours now and blasting music with heavy bass. No enforcement of rules at all and these people are aggressive and keep reving there cars with loud exhausts. No sleep at all. Management is not good. Camped here for years. Different manager every other year. This campground is a money grab. They don't put any money or effort into this place. They think the seasonal are "rift raft" Though the seasonals are what is good about this place. No activities. Few amentities that they dont like you to use. Hours are very limited for the arcade. Kids get treated like punks just because they are kids. This place could be so much better if management actually embraced their seasonals instead of treating them like shit. Management blames the seasonals for their own shortcomings. Bathrooms are gross, ball field wasn't mowed until The end of July, grass was knee high. No trash barrels on the beach because they are to lazy to change out bags. They make you take trash back to your site. Terrible the list goes on and on. Very few staff. Assistant manager is stand offish. Very expensive for nothing. They have taken away a bunch of amenities You have to off site to get propane. They use to have propane but that was to convienient. Crappy activities with very little thought. Kids were told they can't be under the pavilion during a rain storm. They used to have a rec hall but that was too much work to up keep. They had it demolished. No cafe. Store has useless stuff in it. No maintenance staff for a couple years now. Not all bathrooms are open, again, to much work. Any good activity in the campground is put on by seasonals even though they take credit. This place could be run much better. What a shame. If you like car radios blaring at 6am as they drive in, this is your place. (At least is was Metallica and not rap, so I'll give them that) Pine acres is not so much a "camping" place, but great for vacation partying. It seems that there is virtually no quiet hours, unless it's 3am and everyone is passed out. I think it's great that they've tapped into a market of resort goers, I guess to some people it's a family place. For me it's quieter at my own house next to 495. On another note, the guy checking the car passes should get glasses, because he can't see the dates. I might stop him from being hostile with the customers. (Or maybe not) read more

Will not return here for sure, booked our campsite right next to friends were assured we would be right next to each other upon check in our site was moved since someone with an equal size unit had difficulty getting in the site. We managed with our site. Golf carts everywhere going way to fast. So much traffic going through this campground it was awful not safe for bike riding kids. Bathrooms gross, playgrounds with cigarette butts all over it. Kids unsupervised at lake and on slide swearing constantly, kids at playground swearing and playing very inappropriate music loudly, Also if you would like constant fireworks and noise to 2 am this campground is for you, and be sure to lock up your possessions. Been camping for 10 years and have never written a bad review! read more

The lady that cleans their bathrooms doesnt. I was their 5 times today and gross. I called front office and they said they would send her up. I just went again and she was standing by her golf cart. I went in and she put some toilet paper in stalls and emptied barrel near sinks and wrote on their chart by door that she cleaned it. I went back outside and she was sitting in her golf cart smoking and on phone. The sinks, toilets, showers and floor are beyond disgusting! She marked she cleaned at 4:08 and finished at 4:30. B.S. To Marcia in regards to your review let me just say this I have spent several years at that campground and before posting such a horrible review of the poor cleaning woman there maybe you should learn some facts... for one she is the "only" cleaning woman for that whole campground full of disrespectful people! I know for a fact that woman cleans at least 8-10 hrs a day maybe more and hardly ever gets a day off! She is cleaning bathrooms after people are doing horrible things in there and I mean horrible, cabins, rec hall, laundry mat, etc etc which is alot for just one person with all those campers! So before bashing that poor woman maybe think about what she goes through she does the best she can with what she is given to her by the campground bash them if you want for not giving her the help she needs but geesh has some human compassion towards people working hard because I have never seen a cleaner there all these years as hard working as she is!! read more
