I called and spoke with the owner, Vicki, who was extremely kind and helpful. She told me about the studio and the classes, and how I can get the first class free, etc. I went in to check it out a week later, and was happy to see the place to be so inviting and cozy. It's nested inside a strip mall and not much to look at from the outside, but inside it opens up to a comfortable waiting area with nooks to store you stuff, and a large studio with wooden floors and ambient lighting. Vicki is a wonderful teacher who is very pleasant and relaxed. She doesn't push you at all, and she teaches you to be patient and non-judgmental with yourself, and do what your body tells you. I find the classes a good workout in terms of strengthening your body and improving flow. And I like how she incorporates a lot of mindfulness into the practice, so the experience is very holistic. I've not taken too many classes with other teachers, but they each have their own style; you just have to find what works for you. They do offer various levels and classes in addition to yoga, so there are many options. The rate is also reasonable. You can get an 8-class pass that doesn't expire, which is great if you aren't sure how often you'll go (a lot of other places only honor a pass for a certain number of months). I definitely recommend this place if you want to try out yoga in a comfortable and caring environment.

I love the studio; big enough to have room to stretch out, but not an auditorium or anything. Very cozy and calm. I've enjoyed the classes I've done (Basic 2 with Dee and Yoga With Irma). Both are a little slower than some of the popular Power Yoga classes around the area, but it was exactly what I'm looking for! A great pace that allows me to really focus on my breath and form, not just "power" through it. There are a variety of classes to try, so this studio seems great for the beginner and the yogi alike. As the other review mentioned, the price is actually amazing. $12 drop in and ten classes for $80? I can tell you, that is the best price in the area, and I know because I've been looking for a place just like this! I will definitely report back after I've had a few more classes here, but I'm sold right now and I don't envision that changing. They also have some pretty interesting looking workshops that I will definitely try in the future. So happy to have found Yoga One!

Bonus reiki, singing bowls or cool lavender compresses to end your practice. They're sensitive to your limitations in the Slow Flow and offer aids to support or modify poses. This is my happy spot for now. Hope to try other classes as I regain my confidence. Nothing makes me fell better than yoga. It's like a relaxing massage and a workout rolled into one. Two of the instructors I've had are nurses as am I. just another comfort level for me. They have a better understanding of arthritis and joint replacement. I have both but I'm feeling stronger, have less pain and am improving my balance. Senior citizen discount and free first class. Located close to home, same parking lot as my bank, nail salon plus restaurants; Italian, Asian and Taqueria and a martial arts school. Looking forward to trying a massage, they have lots of other services, so definitely check out their website. I'm about at the end of my 10 pack and will do it again. It's worked well for me.
