I will start by explaining that I get so many knots from stress and my work that it is nearly…read moreimpossible to work it out in one session. I first met Sara a couple of years ago when she was working at a spa. I have been receiving massages for more than 20 years and have never found someone I could count on to understand my body and fix the issues. I was so impressed with Sara's ability to spot issues and work out the knots and relieve pain, I called to reschedule a second appointment. When I called, I was told she had left the spa. I immediately started tracking her down through Google. I found her and contacted her through email to see if she was available for an appointment. She scheduled me for a session and for the last couple of years, I have been a regular client. My health has never been better. So many massage therapists use too much pressure and still cannot get the job done. Sara is extremely knowledgeable about the body and has the ability to use technique and appropriate pressure to relieve my "knots." In addition, unlike the spas, Sara takes time to talk to her clients and understand what they have been doing. She has, so often, been able to understand why I may be feeling pain and tightness in my muscles. I think it is my neck but she works on another part of my body and things begin to loosen. Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about the work she does and the person she is. Feel free to message me if you have questions; but I can tell you that if you contact her directly, she will be open and answer the questions you have. In summary, very highly recommend her services!! --Robin

The instructor ( Joanna) created instruction manual's for everyone in the class. The instructor was always available for any question that I had even outside of the class. I have a child with Autism and aggression, my family and I were under a lot of stress. I was amazed how much Joanna cared about my family and atoned my autistic son to Reiki 1. Once my son was atoned he no longer hit and we were able to calm him down a lot better. Everyday my son and I practice Reiki and this has been such a healing experience for myself and my family.

They taped my ankle and have me doing different exercise to rebalance and get stronger and the pain is 95% gone at this point with still a few sessions to go. I have a healthy distrust of healthcare professionals born from experiences like this. I dodged a $1700 bullet. My advice to you is don't believe everything you are told, do your own research and use your intuition.

I've seen Liz on and off for several years for shiatsu massage which actually has significantly helped with my asthma. Now that I have begun my nursing career, I find shiatsu to be a great addition to help avoid muscle injury and fatigue. Liz is also a licensed physical therapist and incorporates her training and experience in PT into her shiatsu practice. Liz is down-to-earth and friendly and happy to chat with you during your session or respect your preference for silence. She doesn't use any offensive, scented oils or lotions in her practice and you get to keep your clothes on! She makes sure to check in with you to ask about pain throughout the treatment. Her fee is very reasonable in my opinion - $90 for one hour. You pay Liz directly for scheduling and payment so there is no having to deal with the Becoming Center as a middle-man. The space she uses is warm and relaxing and comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in finding an experienced shiatsu practitioner not connected to a spa.
