The owner, studio manager, and all the instructors are truly amazing. It's evident they all put so much care and intention into creating their classes and they each have their own unique, fun, and challenging styles that they bring with them each and every day. They're all great here. :-) I also love how they are continually adapting and incorporating new concepts and research so you never feel like the workout gets too easy or boring. It can be very intimidating to pursue hobbies and try to build new skills as an adult, but I finally set out to try yoga after 2 years of contemplation. Jolly Llama, and the wonderful instructor Jackie, made it so easy. I instantly felt comfortable and continue to feel so whenever I come in, and I highly recommend their beginner's class if that's what you're looking for. My instructor Jackie has consistently been mindful and encouraging. It's nothing like I expected. Throughout the lesson she reminds us to thank ourselves for showing up, and check in with our spirits and our bodies. She makes you feel reassured that it's okay not to go through with a pose that your body isn't agreeing with, and always offers you alternative cozy poses when something that may be a bit challenging comes along. This has been key for me in learning something new. It's made it very easy to go with the flow and grow. An added bonus is that everyone here is so approachable, both staff and fellow classmates. I've noticed in many reviews about yoga studios in general that newcomers can feel an air of pretentiousness, or feel like they're walking into something cliquey; things of that sort that can make a person feel unwelcome. But there was NONE of that here! Nothing but smiles, kindness and uplifting energy. It really makes all the difference.

I had been recovering from a herniated disc that also led to the discovery of mild scoliosis, which is not abnormal for older women, in particular. I took all of these issues to LSF and was rewarded with excellent knowledge and experience helping others like myself work back to a strong, flexible body. While I don't always love it, every instructor has been on me for positioning and form, which is key to not getting reinjured. As a pilates newbie, it's been helpful and I do not exaggerate when I say that I have been mostly pain-free since starting. My only struggle is with signing up for classes. Because they fill up very quickly, it is hard to budget because you need to sign up for a lot of classes in advance, which means you have to pay for a lot of classes at once. (They're certainly worth it and priced fairly.) I have had success with the waiting list, however, and there was only one time I did not get into the class. The silver lining of all this is that clearly people think highly of the classes/instructors and want to get in! I also appreciate that the owner/staff "hear" clients and try to make class policy changes that are sensible and not just penal. It's not easy running a small fitness business, so just them being there as a resource is terrific. They play great music, everyone is super friendly and down-to-earth, and the studio is cute. Front desk and instructor were super…read morefriendly and accommodating especially with me arriving almost 10 minutes late (I called ahead to let them know to check ahead of time and they picked up right away). The "classic" class was challenging but low impact and with me being out of shape I felt supported by the attention I got from the instructor and free to make adjustments for myself. The class members were also friendly and I felt welcome. I would definitely come back for another class when I'm in the area.

The studio itself is awesome! It is super clean and sleek, giving off a radiant vibe the moment you walk in. There are cubicles available in the back of the studio where customers can store their belongings during class. Don't have barre socks? RISE has you covered. They offer a handful of different colors for you to choose from and they are fairly inexpensive as well. Not to mention, they have an entire wall of adorable merchandise that can be purchased by the customers. Being my first barre class ever, I was SUPER nervous and had no idea what to expect. My anxiety was instantly relieved by the friendly staff and the welcoming customers taking the class. I was shocked at how kind these people were. Honestly, some of the nicest people I have ever met while taking a fitness class. The instructor who taught the previous class walked my friend and I through what equipment we needed and explained what barre was all about which was great since both of us had no idea what we were doing. Our instructor was wonderful as well, extremely motivating throughout the entire class, and corrected any movement that I was doing wrong which was super helpful. They play great music too which helps push you through the pain you may be experiencing as you go about the workout. I definitely left the studio feeling like I got a great workout in. The blend of barre, strength, and cardio are well thought out and the facility is so clean and have thoughtful touches like hair ties and face wipes. I got a late fee but that's understandable and was clearly communicated to me. I'm now trying to reschedule my class for a different day, and I'm being told that I'll need to pay an extra $18 in order to drop into a class! Apparently the $10 expires one week after purchase (stated nowhere when purchasing on the website). Extremely disappointed in this studio, will be cutting my loss, and taking my business elsewhere. Good luck getting into a class a week out if you plan to use the first time deal! They fill up super fast and as of today, they're booked out 3 weeks in advance. I just don't understand how they can tell you the credit is only valid for one week if their classes are booked three weeks in advance? One big scam imo. TLDR; Took $10 from me and attempted to charge me another $18 when rescheduling. $10 first timer deal expires one week after purchase and classes are booked three weeks out.
