It's a drive from Whitefish, but it's worth it especially if you already plan on being in the area for another task. My last load was in the wash when I went to the older worker--the only worker there--and asked, "Is there a way I can pay to have my laundry folded?" She was folding someone else's laundry behind the counter when she said, "No, we actually don't fold laundry here," in a snarky tone. I'm thinking to myself, "Um, okay... why would you spend all this money on expensive washers and dryers but not offer a laundry-folding service when you're literally folding someone else's laundry and I'm willing to pay you to do mine?" That just doesn't add up. I had eighteen minutes left on one of the big dryers when I grabbed my clothes and decided I was done. Tumble runs through an app called Speed Queen, so I thought I would get those 18 minutes back on my account since I didn't use them. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The whole experience was frustrating, especially because I was willing to pay for an additional service and was met with a rude attitude. I will never go to this laundromat again! The workers were rude, and the prices are way too expensive.

For my first experience, I'd say it has been a good one! The American is very clean and well done. No one else was there on the weekday evening we went. They have 8 washers and 8 dryers in total, with only one machine that was out of order. A load in the wash costs $2.75, and a load in the dryer costs $2.00 (as of Fall 2022). That seems pricy, but I'm not sure how that compares to other laundromats. There is a change machine, and there are also detergents and dryer sheets for sale (again pricy). There is seating inside and two benches on the front porch. WiFi is provided, but there is no public restroom. I do believe one should be offered since waiting on laundry can take quite some time. That would be my biggest complaint. It is next door to a coffee shop and tucked away in a nice, safe area. There is a security camera located inside (and I am sure outside as well).

My husband and I were visiting Montana for our honeymoon and Libby was the nearest town to where we were staying. Some nice ladies at Nordicfest told us about this carwash/laundromat and since we'd dirtied all of our clothes hiking the previous day, we needed to go- BAD! When we arrived there was a friendly lady working who offered to change our dollar bills for us and even spot me $2 while my husband went to the ATM- just so I could go ahead and start my 2 loads. We live in Rhode Island-and let me tell you- THIS would NEVER happen there! The machines at Ultra aren't new- but they get the job done and for only $2 a load- no one can complain! The dryers are a bargin at $1.25 a load and they are sure to get your clothes dry all the way- they first time! If you are aa Libby local- the best thing about this place is that you can drop your clothes off and they will wash/dry and fol your laundry in a matter of hours! *** There is one problem with the address listed on here- it is actually correct- but we had a difficult find it because the lady at the wash told us that 2 years ago the government changed all the street numbers as a part of some national security thing- and when you ask your gps to take you to the address listed- it takes you way out in the wrong direction. The Ultra Car Wash/Laundromat is located on Hwy. 2 heading away from Libby towards Troy. It will be on your right if you are going toward Troy and is directly across from a restaurant ( I forget the name).
